I always have had a love for flowers but when I realized the gift of giving flowers was a much greater feeling, my passion grew. Becoming a florist when I was much younger was exciting but an obstacle. I have had several people hold my hand and clear the path to help me get to where I am today. I am forever grateful for that handful of women.

Maruwa Design is a PNW floral and intimate event design boutique that services clients in Oregon, Washington, and beyond. We not only design floral arrangements and ceremony installations, but also offer full event design services for bridal showers, birthdays, and other intimate events.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

As a special event florist my mission is to create original, quality, lasting keepsake florals, which reflect the beauty and eternal love that they help celebrate. Everything from first contact to completion is done solely through me. Yep, I’m a one-woman show. I love having personal interactions with all my clients and customers. The concept of floral design as a living, restorative, art form gave her a deep respect for flowers and their unique personality. Their nature of fragility adds to their elusiveness, and gives her the opportunity to exhibit the never-to-be-replicated side of her personality every time she works with floral product.

Weddings are my passion. I used to watch reruns after reruns of TLC’s A Wedding Story when I was young and even created little ceremonies and receptions I thought best fit the personalities of my younger siblings. I’ve always been passionate about gardening but didn’t really think of floristry until after I landed my first job in the wedding industry. I decided to go for it and pursued floral design school. I couldn’t be happier that I did! I get to start my day with some of the most gorgeous scents and scenery. I love what I do and I think you will, too!
