Elevate your event at the restored classic The Melody Event Center located in Central Eastside Portland. Built in 1925 and renovated in 2018 The Melody Event Center offers five distinct event spaces, accommodating up to 1,000 guests and offers flexible floor plans for every occasion. The elegant Melody Ballroom is nearly 6,000 square feet, welcoming up to 400 seated guest or up to 800 standing. The Melody Ballroom stands as our crown jewel with 30 foot high ceiling trimmed in gold, crystal chandeliers and a beautiful hardwood floor. We offer four additional spaces; The Morrison, Hawthorne, Portlandia and Broadway perfect for smaller events and meetings. Each room features this historic buildings original large scale windows displaying beautiful natural light. University Place Hotel and Conference Center has event facilities for groups as small as 5 and as large as 280. Our resort is right on the Oregon Coast, just a few feet from the ocean. The wedding venue is just 20 ft. from the "Sand" and after a beautiful outside wedding and indoor reception at the hotel ballroom, your guests can continue having fun at the casino which is just across the hotel parking area from where we have our weddings.

Heceta Head is one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world! The Lighthouse and Light Keeper’s home are circa 1894. Both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. From a height of 205 feet above the ocean, its “first order” Fresnel lens, casts it’s beams some 21 miles out to sea. It is the brightest light on the Oregon coast. It is said to be the most photographed lighthouse in the United States. The Light Keeper’s home is perched on a cliff with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean and the beach below. Paths from the Light Keeper’s Home lead both to the beach and to the lighthouse. Located downtown at SW 12th and Morrison St. mere blocks from the hotels your guests are staying at or the location of the reception. 2)Open late, later than the hotel bar or the hotel lobby/hallway guests tend to gather in after the reception. We’ll be able to accommodate guests until 2:30AM. 3)Unassuming. Guests who have been in heels, dresses, ties, and make-up to look perfect all day want to let their hair down. City Bridge & Tunnel has no dress code, no line to get in, and no Instagram competition. We’re a clean industrial bar with a fun crew and plenty of space for wedding guests to dance, let down their hair, and be as loud as they want. 4)Fun.
