We got married in April 2022 and had a wonderful experience working with the team at Glasserie Events. They made the entire wedding planning process feel as stress-free as possible, guiding us through each stage from planning floor plans to picking menus to creating a beautiful ceremony. We knew we were in good hands from beginning to end! The team at Glasserie gave us clear options, action steps, and guidance as we made many decisions along the way. Our guests were amazed at how delicious the food and drinks were (not your average wedding caterer). The Glasserie team helped us create a magical evening that we will always remember. We couldn't have asked for a better event planning experience!

I asked for recommendations for photographer and day of coordinator and both were amazing! My wife and I had our wedding at Deity on 11/11/23 and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were looking for a unique, warm space to have an intimate micro wedding. We live in Boston so a beautiful venue, affordability, ease, and convenience were high priority for us. Deity brought all that and more. The space is absolutely stunning, we barely had to add any extra decor. The setup was great as different parts of the wedding were on different floors so it never felt like we were in the same space all day. And the BRIDAL SUITE?! Absolutely phenomenal and made getting ready for the day super convenient. We even did our first look photos there because we were in love with the look of it and the sunlight coming through. After our ceremony we did some couple shots on the roof that were so greatz The micro wedding package we chose was perfect for us. Ceremony, reception, food & drinks, basic decor like candles, and the DJ were included. The food was delicious and our guests LOVED the family style setup as everyone was able to try everything and serve themselves just the amount they wanted. Because we were so small we kept our reception on the main floor as opposed to adding the cellar. The main floor was great as it was spacious and everyone had room dance, sit, and chat with ease. As for the staff, they were fantastic. Everything went smoothly and they were so keen on making sure my wife and I were taken care of the whole night. One of my big concerns was for my Grandma who sometimes has trouble walking and the shuffling between two floors was concerning. But Deity was on it, they kept the stair lift ready for her at all times and made sure she was given priority time and space to move around before the other guests. At the end of the reception, the staff packed up all our belongings and had it ready for us to take out the space so we could enjoy the entire reception with our guests. Last but honestly most important, Anna. Anna was amazing to us. From the first FaceTime meeting she was kind, straight forward, detailed, and excited for us. I’ve never planned or seen a wedding be planned before, so I was struggling with what to do. Anna thought of everything. She assisted with timelines, payment reminders, streamlining decor, making suggestions for things I didn’t think about, and answered any question I had. She even assisted with setting up our after party at Someday Bar next door, which worked out perfectly. Anna was so easy to work with and accommodated me during the limited in person visits I could make. I can’t imagine not having her to assist us with our wedding. She truly made the Deity experience top notch. Deity provided us with an absolutely beautiful wedding. We did not have the overwhelming stress, worries, or mishaps that we have heard usually occur with planning a wedding. Deity made it seamless so we could just enjoy the process and our day. We recommend to the highest degree. THANK YOU, DEITY!

Bacchus Bistro

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 180 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Since Bacchus inception on April 17th, 2003, the bistro has been an integral part of our operations. Expect to be charmed by an aura of accentuated Eurocentric energies from the moment you step inside, either through our friendly staff or an atmosphere bustling with patrons, wine pours & classic to contemporary French dishes. Amid much fanfare, the bistro’s exposed red brick & hardwood floors, among other pristine features, beckons for an intimate setting. With its “cul de sac” facade, the bistro leads to an alluring outdoor garden where a plethora of vows have been ceremoniously exchanged “pun intended!!”

We highly recommend Bacchus as a wedding/event venue. My partner and I had an amazing wedding celebration at Bacchus in May 2023. Everyone could not stop raving about the beautiful space, savory food, or how intimate the event felt. The celebration went off without a hitch, due in large part to Bacchus’ event coordinator, Meryl, and her team. From the beginning, when we first inquired about holding the event at Bacchus, Meryl was extremely responsive. During the first meeting, she walked us through the restaurant, including the interior wine bar and two outdoor courtyards, described how the event could be set up, and answered all our questions. We stayed in close touch in the months leading up to the wedding to plan all the details and Meryl invited us to Bacchus for a wine and food tasting before finalizing the menu. Although we were already excited for the celebration based on the outdoor space and how easy Meryl made the planning, the food was the real clincher. We’ve attended far too many weddings with overcooked steak and lackluster fish entrees, but Bacchus’ chef showed that would not be the case with our celebration. When the wedding day arrived, we luckily had a sunny day (though Meryl assured us there would be outdoor coverage and more interior space in case of rain). In total, we had about 100 guests. Since we legally married at the courthouse the day prior, we launched straight into the celebration. We first hosted a cocktail hour in the wine bar with passed hors d’oeuvres, before everyone sat down in the courtyards for a four-course dinner. After that, we brought in a DJ for dancing inside the restaurant. Meryl helped coordinate the night perfectly; she was seamless in switching our music playlists during cocktail hour and dinner, providing a microphone set-up and accommodating time for speeches, and making sure that her staff were attentive throughout the entire evening. She decorated the restaurant and tables beautifully and even set up pictures, plants, and other décor and items like gift boxes that we had dropped off the day before. The four-course meal tasted just as great as it did during our tasting and received high compliments all around (the escargot, butternut squash tortellini, and steak with wild mushrooms were to die for). Meryl also ensured that the kitchen was able to provide kids meals for the few little ones that we had in attendance. The staff were diligent in making drinks and filling wine glasses and, overall, provided excellent service. We truly had the perfect, memorable evening for our magical occasion. For that reason, we would 100% recommend Bacchus for a wedding or event without any reservations.

The Gem Saloon

5.0

New York, NY
  • Up to 80 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor

Located on the corner of Third Ave and 27th Street in the heart of Murray Hill. The Gem Saloon - a modern day American saloon has a lot to offer. Craft cocktails, beer and wine can be paired with tasty kitchen bites. Our beautiful main level features a large horseshoe bar and multiple dining areas, while our mezzanine level 'Trixie's' is great for smaller groups. Both spaces are available for private events and we look forward to hosting you.

The Gem Saloon hosted the surprise engagement party I threw for my fiancé and it was the perfect spot. Starting first with my communication with Nicole, who is the events manager, she was incredibly responsive and helpful, as we sent numerous emails back and forth throughout the planning process. Having someone so readily available and quick to answer questions is a huge perk in my book, I feel without that, that’s where you lose a lot of business from the start. Then fast forward to the day off, the Gem allows you to bring outside decorations and desserts (if you wish) and do not charge a cake cutting fee. Being able to put your own decorative touch on your event can be special so it’s nice that Gem allows you that option. In terms of food, I did place a food order with Gem from their platter menu. All of my guests said how excellent the food was - I personally can sway that the beef skewers were awesome, highly recommend! The bartender assigned to my event was also lovely, she managed the bar swiftly (had about 55 guests) all on her own and had a very generous pour. The last person of note was Bernard. He was the on site manager the day of my event and he was a sweetheart. He checked in every so often to see if there was anything he could do or that we needed, incredibly attentive. Then when my fiancé and I were waiting on our Uber to leave the event, he gave us each a free glass of champagne for one last celebratory drink while we waited. Overall, everyone went above and beyond to make this day special and my guests felt that, they couldn’t have more than enough good things to say. One even said, I’ve lived and worked in NYC my whole life, how did I never know about this place? So if you’re on the fence about Gem, don’t hesitate, they’re absolutely great. And as someone who can be a critic of overly positive reviews, I will give the one negative that I have, was just that during the event (and keep in mind I reserved the second floor mezzanine - which was great to feel separated and private from the rest of the bar) that between being higher up and having around 55 people, it did get a bit hot up there, but you can always request that the air be turned down! All in all, 5/5 venue and party
