I pay attention to each individual client and their own needs. I've been using this philosophy for years, and it has been working quite well! I am constantly learning more about my first love: Music! As a Master of Ceremonies, the philosophy is the same. I never say too much, it is not about me! It's about the client, and I never want to outshine or take any of their attention away.

My philosophy for music is, "You bring the dancers and I'll bring the music".  I'll take your requests and my years of experience and turn your wedding into something your guests will never forget.  In order to play the right song at the right time, it's all about observation and knowing your crowd.  As I am selecting and mixing songs, I am attentive to everyone's reaction. Years of performing gives me an understanding of action and reaction... an easier way to put it is, I know how to rock the socks off your wedding!

I will be with you from the time you inquire leading up to your big day! You will know who your DJ will be at your wedding prior to booking but I am here to answer all your questions and give recommendations. I have also been in your shoes (4 years is still a newlywed right?) and completely understand how planning a wedding can get overwhelming but choosing music for your wedding day is something you should look forward to! I can't wait to hear more about your wedding day!

My style is about my bride and groom having a good time and creating an atmosphere for their guests to have fun by playing and mixing great music. As a an experienced DJ I know how to read the crowd and play the right music at the right time to keep the dance floor moving. I will keep the DJ “chatter” to a minimum to be sure not to steal the spotlight. I take a completely modern approach, using my extensive knowledge of music formats and appropriate Emcee skills to move a dance floor.

This experience and my passion for music has helped me evolve into one of the most skilled spinners around. DJ Náná was born in Cape Verde in the early 80s and migrated to the area in the late 90s. Náná started his DJ career in 1995, when he started performing for friends and family at parties and events.

With decades of experience, formal training, and intuitive musicianship, this loving couple offers a diverse range of skills and influences. This talented duo can perform virtually any piece of music, blending male and female vocal harmonies, guitar, bass, and violin.

A two-time New England Urban Music Award winner, Becky’s angelic voice and skillful steel pan playing can now be heard while performing her Caribbean Soul music as a solo artist, with her own band, as well as with several bands, such as Zili Musik, Natural Element, and Sidy Maiga & Afrimanding, all over the New England area.

We are Take 2, a versatile and musically experienced duo that can cover a wide variety of musical styles and selections. We offer our clients the opportunity to choose to hire Take 2 as either our classical flute/acoustic guitar duo or our saxophone/flute and jazz guitar duo.
