I studied applied flute with a vocal minor at the New England Conservatory of Music Boston Massachusetts on a full scholarship where I studied with James Pappoutsaki of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Also studied with Francis Blaisdell, principal flutist with the New York Metropolitan Opera orchestra at the Manhattan School of Music in NY. I began my journey as a flutist at age ten and by fifteen I was studying with world class flutist and conductor Claude Monteux. At 17 I toured with the NY State Symphony. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He honed his craft and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the famous Juilliard School of Music in New York and received a Master’s Degree from the prestigious Yale University. He specializes in live violin music for all types of special events including corporate, concerts, festivals, weddings and worship.

Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys is a family owned and operated business. Our founder, Ken Schaffer, started the company in 1977 at the ripe old age of fourteen! He started providing DJ entertainment for grade schools and parties and as he grew older demand for his company’s services soared.
