I had my wedding in north jersey and interviewed probably 10 florists. I wanted a wedding florist that was easy to work with, had decades of experience and could deliver my vision. And that’s exactly what Robyn and the team did. They responded quickly to my inquiry, our appointment was great, learned so much about flowers and what worked with my vision. Day of the wedding I was BLOWN AWAY— the flowers took my breath away. They made a very traditional wedding venue into an upscale location. I cannot thank the team enough. The flowers was something I didn’t have to worry about and I owe that all to Robyn and team. I plan on using them for my baby shower in summer.

Lenny and Robin at Petals and Stems did such an amazing job for our December wedding. We had our initial consultation at the shop where he put together a sample bouquet and let us take it home! Our next meeting we went over all of our details and he put together a mockup of our center piece which he also let us take home. He was so communicative throughout the entire process and you could tell he really wanted our day to be special. The day of our wedding Lenny was on time, friendly, and so helpful while doing an AMAZING job on our florals! My bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and so were my bridesmaids. Everything was stunning and we are SO grateful for Lenny’s hard work and breathtaking florals!

Pretty Posh Events

5.0

North Brunswick, NJ
  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Lodi, NJ

Pretty Posh Events is a boutique event planning and design company, serving mainly the tri-state area. Owner Abby’s love for fashion and all things design, along with her passion for creative expression led to the creation of Pretty Posh Events. After years of designing and coordinating events for friends and family, Abby decided it was time to turn this passion into a business.

It was such a pleasure to work with Abby and Pretty Posh Events! Abby was our month of coordinator/ florist for my backyard wedding ceremony in July 2023. As an out of state bride, Abby worked with me over the phone and email throughout the planning process to design the event, and worked around my schedule to visit the sight. Abby had such a great vision for my grandma's backyard (the venue) and assured us throughout the process that it would come out beautifully...and it sure did! Every detail was well-thought out and unique to us. She recommended other vendors (B&B party rentals), as well as had connections through friends. Specifically, she worked with a graphic designer to create stunning metallic menu cards, and wrapped the bar in our wedding stationary. I look forward to working with Abby again for future events!!!

Sonya was the absolute BEST!!!!!! I know absolutely nothing about flowers or types of flowers but I knew what I didn't want, which definitely isn't easy to build a plan with, but Sonya sent me multiple proposals and we video chatted to look at examples and discuss all of the options. She is so patient and kind and the result was beyond anything I could even imagine. On the day of, they arrived on time and took immense care in every single detail. The reception room smelled heavenly floral and I'll never forget how blown away I was by it all. From the centerpieces to bouquets to ceremony chairs and the arch, I'll never be able to say thank you enough it was all perfect!

When I started the wedding planning process I loved looking at all of the beautiful wedding florals that we're flooding my instagram feed. I knew rather quickly what my vision was, but the next big step was finding a florist that could bring that dream to life. Admittedly, I was nervous about finding the right vendor but I was also worried that what I wanted wouldn't be in my budget. When I found Katherine and Thistle Bee I was immediately put at ease. She was very transparent about her pricing and what I would be able to afford. She was also very clear with me about how instagram may not be my reality, for reasons like filters and product choices. Katherine's transparency and clear knowledge for her industry made it easy to trust her and I often found myself deferring to her when making choices. While I knew exactly what I wanted, much of my vision was communicated to Katherine through a hodgepodge of inspo photos and my repeated use of "rustic" and "elegant". Even with my minimal guidance Katherine knew exactly what I wanted! My wedding day far exceeded my expectations. Every flower was placed exactly how I had pictured it in my mind! She did an exceptional job of playing up the beauty of the space while also adding in her own touches. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite detail, but I will never forget watching Katherine set up my ceremony arch from my Bridal suite. It was so special to see her at work and to watch the care and craftsmanship she put into my design. I would recommend her a thousand times over! Thistle Bee took what I've heard can be incredibly stressful process and made it easy. I could not have asked for a better florist for my wedding! I think vendor choice can make or break a wedding-Thistle Bee made mine.

From my first call with Emily & Melissa, I felt at ease and safe. Not only were they beyond professional, they navigated the conversation and asked questions beyond any typical florist would to ensure the cohesion of our wedding day was top tier. They truly take your vision and inspiration and turn it into a reality. They are 5 steps ahead thinking of the next thing and if there is anything else that may make your day just even that much more beautiful. I could not imagine having chosen anyone else for our wedding day. Florals was where I was stressing the most and they made it the easiest part of the wedding planning process.

    Waverly & Grove

    5.0

    Millington, NJ

As a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York, Meredith Mandel fell in love with flowers when she worked as a prop stylist. She spent many early (early!) mornings at the flower market on 28th street, preparing for various photo shoots throughout any given week.

Meredith was brought into the planning process for my wedding with just 5 months notice - but you would have never known she had such a brief period of time to plan. She helped to translate all of my inspiration into an executable plan with seasonality and budget considerations that had never even crossed my mind - thank goodness for Meredith! The fact that she is the kindest and most patient human on the planet is just an added bonus to her professionalism and discerning taste!

Grains & Stock designed and made a STUNNING remake of my bridal bouquet. Let me tell you, my bridal bouquet was flawless and somehow, my remake was even more breathtaking! Violet's Florist is an absolute hidden gem (especially for city weddings!!) and I cannot say enough good things about them, SO please excuse the long (glowing) review, but it's well deserved :-) .... I stumbled upon Violet, Hanna and team when I was in a VERY tight pinch (needed wedding florals in a matter of 4 days, right after Christmas) with a VERY tall ask on that order (300, delivered to the Upper East Side). My fiance and I made a last minute decision to elope at a small ceremony, ahead of our big one that was to be later that year, so my recently ill 95 year old grandma could attend. I nearly gave up on flowers for this small ceremony, after being shut down by 20 other florists in the area, then struck gold with Violet, who graciously told me not to worry about a thing and that it would be no problem.  I figured it was a 50/50 shot that I even saw the flowers (they were coming in from NJ for me), let alone that they'd be nice ones, given the time and budget constraints ... never did I ever expect to actually have beautiful arrangements, including a sweet corsage for our guest of honor and her nurse AND matching boutonnieres thrown in for my young nephew, who I mentioned my grandma adores. They truly made for the most memorable day and my mom, sisters and I will forever be grateful for the special treatment they showed our grandma. After that, it was a no brainer for who we would work with on our actual big day after that - our venues were pretty decorated already (Church of St Thomas More  Essex House Ballroom), so I was not sure how to go about complementing the very different details in both, but Violet and her team nailed it (yet, again!). We literally had guests fighting over who got to take the centerpieces home with them ha  Hanna was especially helpful with this day - We had a very hands on appointment in the store a few months out, where she guided me on looks within budget and made thoughtful recs (my flower knowledge was pretty limited, prior to our chat, I came to realize...was great to feel like an educated buyer!). She even helped in sending me links for Amazon purchases I could make to elevate the vibe, without having to pay an arm and a leg to get certain things through wedding vendors (ie taper candles amongst the florals, reusing arrangements from church at reception welcome etc).  Further, I later found out about so much behind the scenes work Hanna did, on my behalf with other vendors, handling "situations" before they became real situations and making sure I was not bothered with any of that stress unless really needed.... beyond professional and gracious on all fronts! BOOK THIS FLORIST!!!!! - you and your guests will be in love with your arrangements.   Even more, you'll actually feel good about the purchase (they are not in the business of ripping people, including brides!, off)  AND get to work with some of the sweetest, most genuine and extremely buttoned-up/professional people in the game.  No matter if you are NY or NJ based, you have nothing to worry about with this group being part of your team on the big day ... they execute smooth beyond belief :-)
