Tati And Roman

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves Locust Valley, NY

We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

Awarded Best of Zola
We LOVED having Tati and Roman as part of our big day and we appreciated their support, thoughtfulness, and positive energy leading up to and through the day! They were incredibly professional and responsive throughout the booking and planning process, responding immediately to our initial inquiry and even following up with us to confirm that we were still interested before we had a chance to respond when they received an inquiry from another couple for our wedding date. Once we booked, the communication and coordination leading up to the day was seamless and supportive. Tati and Roman were incredible to work with. They brought an amazing energy and warmth to the day, which made taking pictures fun, even though both of us are a bit camera-shy! The photos, which we’ve been cherishing and sharing with family and friends, are absolutely spectacular! Not only do they capture the two of us in special ways, they capture details of the wedding and people's reactions and more that we missed in all the activity of the day. We couldn't be happier with them :)

Stephen Mayo Photography

Merrick, NY

I started my business to provide a different experience. This is your wedding, your day, your story. I document couples by getting to know them, providing value based on my experience, and capturing authentic moments throughout their wedding. By understanding each couple, learning about their story and listening to what their dreams are about their wedding, I want to give them an exceptional wedding photography experience. I want you to enjoy every moment of your wedding, and I want to provide you with honest, compelling, emotional, and romantic imagery that will bring you joy every time you look at the images.

Steve was such an awesome photographer, and the best possible vendor for us to have to document our day. He was so detailed in his photos, and was so good about staying on schedule. We were able to enjoy our day and not worry about certain shots that we wanted because we knew that he got them for us. Steve is very professional, and got our photos back to us fairly quickly! We had the best experience with him and highly recommend for your wedding!

Aesthetic Sabotage Studio LLC

5.0

Hempstead, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

Hiya, I am Vital (pronounces Vee-tal), and I am a 20 something guy with a camera in my hands and a cheerful smile. I have been a wedding photographer since 2016, and every year I fall even more in love with my job. My fiancee and I have a dog and a cat. We love to travel domestically and abroad, and I can't imagine life without photos. I enjoy reading or listening to books, especially novels and biographies. Alpine climbing, backpacking, and road-tripping are among my hobbies too. There is more to my life story on my website :)

Awarded Best of Zola
There were so many great things about working with Vital that I hardly know where to start. We booked him through Zola after going through an overwhelming number of photographers’ portfolios— many beautiful pictures, but none of them felt like “us”. My husband and I are both camera shy and felt very strongly that we didn’t want to spend the whole day posing; Vital completely understood and delivered. From the first communications, he made us feel heard, understood, and supported. We met him for a small engagement shoot in our neighborhood to get acquainted before the big day, and he even brought a Polaroid camera after hearing our first photo together was a Polaroid— just an extremely thoughtful and personal touch that really encapsulates the way Vital works. Leading up to the wedding he was incredibly easy to get in touch with, even sending us questionnaires to understand exactly what we hoped to get out of our day (and what we like about each other as partners). I left feeling like he really wanted to understand US and deliver the photos WE wanted— versus some stock lineup of pictures you’d expect at a wedding. On the day of the wedding he showed up early, was totally prepared, and got to work without instruction. My husband and I were able to relax, soak in the memories, and completely forget a photographer was even there. And the results! He delivered our previews within days, had the full gallery ready in weeks, and the photos were gorgeous. He captured so many little moments that I would’ve otherwise missed. He got so many wonderful candid shots of us, our families, and our friends. Each picture is packed with feeling and energy. It was more than we could’ve dreamed of, and we’ve looked at them over and over since they were delivered. Getting the right photographer for your wedding is a huge decision, but if I had it to do over again I’d book Aesthetic Sabotage without question.

Duet Photography & Video

5.0

Westbury, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

Hi there! We're the team behind Duet Photography & Video. We're a collection of wedding photographers, filmmakers, designers, and editors. We each have our own story of how we've come to be a part of this incredibly field of wedding journalism. As individual as we are, we're all bound by the same love for our craft – the artistry of blending documentary journalism with stunning, creative vision. With over a thousand weddings under our collective belts, we've photographed and filmed weddings of every shape and size imaginable. We can't wait to document your wedding as well!

Working with Duet was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. From the first meeting, to the wedding day the team was responsive, helpful and knowledgeable about the entire planning process. Hanel in the office made scheduling every meeting, engagement shoot and our day of schedule a breeze and I felt like we didn't need to stress ANY of it! Our photographer was Mike for our engagement shoot AND on our wedding day and it truly felt like a friend was joining us on our special day. The team was so professional on the big day and they truly blended in to the background, making for some great candid photos. The photos we received back were beyond gorgeous and we are so grateful for our photography/videography choice. We loved the documentary style of our photos and we felt that we could really enjoy our day without needed to stop and pause frequently for staged photos. Best choice and truly one of our favorite wedding vendors.

To say Heather is the best of the best is an understatement. Everything from meeting her, our engagement shoot, the wedding day, and receiving our photos was stress free. We’re obsessed with every photo she took both during our engagement shoot and wedding. I initially reached out to Heather two years before my wedding date, and we met for coffee to look at some of her portfolio and go over pricing. As soon as we left the coffee shop, my husband was adamant that we book get- and I was too! Talking to Heather felt like talking to an old friend. She is very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about her craft. She had great suggestions for our engagement shoot, including locations and outfit ideas. I had to move the initial date we were supposed to take our engagement phots because I had covid- Heather and Terri were SO understanding. We ended up taking our engagement pictures in Central Park and she got them back to us no more than two weeks later!! They were absolutely jaw-dropping and everything we had hoped for. We used one of the pictures to send out our save the dates and people we didn’t even know were complimenting it when they saw it on friends and family’s refrigerators. Fast forward to the wedding day, and Heather was amazing. She knew exactly what she was doing, worked so well with our videographer (that she had never worked with prior), and posed everybody so they looked their absolute best. She had such creative and fun ideas for our photos and some of them looks so editorial that they can just go right into a magazine. Her pricing is extremely fair for the quality of photos you receive from her. She listened to everything we asked for and went above and beyond. We received our photos within the contractual time, and I also love that they come in a digital format that is extremely easy to share with our family and friends. I feel like a photographer is such an important part of your wedding day because they capture the moments that last minute but you want to remember for a lifetime. Heather will not only ensure that she captures these photos, but her eye for detail will also make these photos so beautiful that you want to look at them every single day.

Nicole Adrianna Photography

5.0

Island Park, NY
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $1,800

From stolen glances to cheeky kisses and getting loose on the dance floor, I'll be there to document your love story (and all the fun bits). I'll even make sure to snap authentic moments that may've slipped by unnoticed - they're the best ones! Whether you want me to inconspicuously lurk in the shadows, snapping candid shots or be right up the front, rounding everyone up for group photos, I'll be the chameleon you need on the day. Either way, I'll not miss a beat behind the lenses.

Our experience working with Nicole was seriously so joyful. From the start she was welcoming, kind, yet professional. I feel like she really listened to our vision for the day and truly took the specifics into consideration during our shoot. She let us be ourselves, yet the subtle guidance she provided was invaluable, especially because it was our first time taking professional photos. It was a highly personalized experience and didn’t feel generic at all. And the photos speak for themselves, we’re obsessed! Clearly a natural talent and so hardworking. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take stunning photos in the PNW.

Elsie Goodman Photography

5.0

Glen Head, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,644

Hello, I'm Elsie. I'm a New York based photographer with a passion to capture people’s stories in the right light. Like any relationship, we have to vibe. I want us both to be comfortable and excited to work with each other because that’s what you deserve from a photographer. I love margaritas, my house plants, and my dog Arthur. I'm a phenomenal cook, and love bringing people together.

My husband and I worked with her last year for our engagement photos and it couldn't have been an easier process! We were able to book a date with her and she was flexible to change because our original date was going to be raining and our shoot was out door. We took moody bar photos and I loved every single shot! We also finished up in Prospect Park and those were equally amazing and romantic. We ended up using shots from each place in our save the dates and invitations! She made us feel comfortable to work with her. From that we were comfortable being in front of the camera. I look forward to working with her again!

Leanne Gelish Studio

5.0

East Meadow, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,200

Welcome to Leanne Gelish Studio! I am a wedding photographer on Long Island, New York who specializes in capturing real moments in an artistic way. A born story-teller, I believe your wedding day should be captured like a story. After all, it’s the love story you always wanted and it’s worth remembering the little details.

My husband and I had a fairytale courtship. We started dating in February of 2019 and were engaged by June. We both felt a lot of stress and pressure from both sides of our family as soon as we announced our engagement. We decided that we wanted our wedding day to be just about us, and we would do a reception later on that would include our family and friends. We were engaged on Sunday June 9th and by Monday I was scouting the internet for photographers. I’m not from Long Island, so I’m not familiar with vendors here. However, being the daughter of two photographers, I knew that the most important part of my wedding (besides the bride & groom) was the pictures. I reached out to so many photographers and no one was the right fit. We were under a time crunch, so some weren’t available on short notice. I wanted my pictures taken with a Nikon camera, not all vendors are loyal to that brand. Then I found Leanne. Not only were her pictures GORGEOUS, she took pictures with a Nikon, and she was available! Under her excellent guidance, I reached out to the local town hall and secured our wedding date 7/12/19. Leanne was up for the challenge of taking pictures of a couple she had never met at a wedding in just over a month. Over the course of that month she made us feel so comfortable. She had so many beautiful and creative portraits planned, and also listened to all of the images I wanted. We asked her to be our witness at the wedding ceremony. It just felt right. The day of the wedding was beyond anything I had ever imagined. Leanne (having never met me) jumped right into action when I was in the middle of a wardrobe malfunction. She then expertly guided us through portraits before, during, and after the ceremony. She gave us the space to enjoy our day and captured our love in such a stunning way. We went to a lovely park after the ceremony for more portraits. We took breaks here and there and unbeknownst to us, she captured those candid, intimate moments that we shared. Those pictures are some of my favorites. My husband isn’t as comfortable in front of the camera as I am, but Leanne was so wonderful in helping him pose and stand in ways that didn’t feel super awkward to him. She even got him up in a tree! We both have that picture as our background on our phones. I really feel like Leanne went above and beyond what I had envisioned. She gave me all of the images I requested, and also made them her own using smoke bombs and prisms and really unique poses. Two and a half years later, Leanne is the only person we trust with taking our pictures. She has also become a close friend of ours. She is the most talented photographer, and we are so lucky that she was the one to capture our special day!

With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

Bailey is the absolute BEST!!! Capturing one of the happiest, fun, emotional days of our lives was one of the most important aspects of our wedding, and she went above and beyond. From the start of working with her everything was fun, laidback, professional, and full of trust. When the day finally arrived we had SO MUCH FUN with Bailey, it felt like we were with a friend who happened to have a camera. The day with her was not short of laughs, happy tears and silliness. We received our photos soon after the wedding, and have been looking at them ever since! She is extremely talented and will capture your day perfectly.

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Christopher was a dream for us. He spent time leading up to our wedding really getting to know us as people, and hearing about what we were looking for. We created a working relationship that felt so comfortable for the two of us and took away any stress related to photos from the wedding day. And then we got the images....and could not have been happier. Stunning photos that captured the emotion and energy in the room that night. we could not have done better than working with Christopher and his team!

What is better than two people in love capturing your once in a lifetime moments? Your wedding means so much to us and we want to make your day perfect from beginning to end!!! When we started our company we promised that we would always charge what we could of afforded when we got married. We feel as though so many couples are being taken advantage of by other companies.

From the moment I booked with 3:17 Photography, I KNEW I made the right choice. Jen and Jeremy are amazing human beings. I spoke to Jen on the phone and it was like speaking to a friend I knew already. She broke everything down for me and left me with no questions to even ask. When the day finally came and we met, I felt immediately connected and welcomed by them. They are so normal and kind. It was honestly just like two of my pals were just taking photos of us all day. Jeremy is a master of his craft and the fact that they are married just makes the entire process a breeze because they show you what to do with eachother and you just recreate it. I could not have been happier on that day and much of the stress was relieved just by their presence. They are also great hype men hahaha they love what they do and when the pictures come out it’s so exciting to see how much excitement they get from nailing great pictures! I loved meeting them and would recommend them a million times over!!!!!!!

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don't even know where to begin. TL/DR: Hire Justin. If you are looking for a person who is as responsible as he is fun, whose pictures are an absurdly brilliant mix of editorial, candid, and artistic; who manages to capture the most joyful moments in the most moving ways, look no further. Photography was important to me; as a bride who had many friends go down the aisle before me, I tried to heed their advice: the photographer is perhaps the most important investment you can make. When I saw Justin's pictures, one word came to mind: "joy."  There was a vibrancy and humanity to his work that made me tear up just looking at his website.  This, combined with the very obvious technical skill he possessed, made me thrilled that he was still available on our wedding date.  Our initial phone call set the tone for the whole process: fun and incredibly thorough and organized.  Indeed, throughout the whole process, Justin was our go to for any questions we had; as the photographer, it made sense for him to keep an eye on logistics, but we were unprepared for how above and beyond Justin would go to make sure our day ran smoothly, from the planning process to execution. Don't let his insanely fun personality fool you: at our wedding he was heads and tails the most professional person there, ready with his shot list, keeping things moving; and yet somehow managed to keep the mood light, fun, and a little bit raunchy. Indeed, a good word for Justin is "prepared."  We had a survey to fill out before our big day, to let him know just what elements were most important to us. When I saw the photos, I couldn't believe how closely he had followed this. The sheer artistry on display, and the range of shots, it didn't seem like just one person could be responsible. The variety and quality was incredible.  And that was a direct result of our having asked for that; that is the wonderful thing about Justin, he cares deeply about his clients and pays attention to them; despite his talent there is no ego involved. He also seems to care deeply about his clients' family...and their friends...and all the wedding guests; everyone commented on how friendly and professional and fun he was. I could go on, likely, forever, but a final note: for my husband and I, the most important thing was capturing the people who came that day to celebrate with us; that was what we wanted to remember most.  We told this to Justin, and when I got the pictures back, I was blown away-- his ability to capture the essence of our family and friends, the way he captured distinct mannerisms, gestures...it was uncanny. That requires training, and artistry; but also kindness, empathy and depth.  Justin has all of those in spades.  It was important for my husband and I to hire someone we wanted to spend the day with; we didn't want him to leave! In post-production, Justin has been just as generous with his time and wrapping up any loose ends.  He stays in touch and makes sure you are thrilled with the final product. It was a pleasure to get to know him and we hope we are cool enough for him to be a part of our lives forever!

Sean from Portraits by Sean photographed our wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding and we couldn't have been happier with his work quality and professionalism. He was very flexible and very responsive to our needs. What stands out to me is how much he captured of our guests interactions that we weren't able to see or participate in because we were busy with so many other guests. When we look at the photos, we feel as though we are getting a 360 degree view of the event from the perspective of our guests. We were so pleased that we hired him the following year to photograph my mother's retirement party. I would highly recommend Sean!

Hey there, I'm Emma! I am an outgoing and free-spirited photographer living in Manhattan (but born & raised in the Midwest! My heart longs for creating art and telling remarkable stories. I love a good trip to the farmers market, a wine night with my friends, and spending time with my loved ones.

Awarded Best of Zola
When describing Emma to friends and family, I always say she's an unbelievable talent destined for Vogue, and I am dead serious. In the quest for a wedding photographer, I knew I wanted our photos to transcend the ordinary and become art. Enter Emma – a visionary who knows exactly where the light hits just right and captures those candid moments in every frame. Emma's portfolio spoke volumes about her unique vision and talent. Beyond her talent, meeting Emma virtually from the West Coast felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Her warmth and ease made the decision easy. After relocating to the East Coast and meeting her in person, our initial impressions were not only confirmed but exceeded! For our engagement shoot, Emma took charge, making the experience fun and effortless, turning moments into pure magic. People still rave about those photos, saying they're straight out of a movie. Our wedding day was magic! One of the standout moments for me was when Emma told the groomsmen to ditch their Apple watches and empty their pockets of phones and wallets. It was no-nonsense in the best way, and as a bride, I couldn't have been more grateful for that attention to detail! She nailed every family photo and rolled with the punches when we realized we forgot a few folks. As expected, her work was flawless – from discovering the most picturesque trees on the property to capturing those genuine laughter moments that resulted in the most natural and beautiful photos. I can't count the number of times people have told us our wedding photos look like they're straight out of a magazine, and I couldn't agree more. Emma nailed it, making our special day even more memorable with her incredible talent and eye for perfection. We feel like we hit the jackpot – not just with an incredible photographer for life, but with a friend whose flourishing career we'll cheer on, even if she becomes too famous for us. Emma, you're a legend, and we're forever grateful for your awesome artistry and friendship. Thank you!!

We spoke on the phone for months and saw each other when we could, while we lived hours apart. 5 Years later we're married, raising a handsome pup, and running a business together. Since inception we have won Best of Westchester 2020 for weddings and numerous other industry awards. We take a modern approach to photography. We will light you and pose you in the most flattering natural ways and place you in front of the most beautiful backgrounds, while being professional, respectful and patient with everyone on your guest list!

I was recommended to use Federico through our venue, and it was the absolute best recommendation. From the get go, their product, communication and experience was beyond what I expected. First, they are lovely people and very easy to talk to. They are prompt with their turnaround time, quick to respond, and they are professionals. They suggested the location for our engagement photos, and made sure the lighting and weather was perfect for what we wanted. I love that they are a husband and wife, they were able to not only work together well, but they were able to help us pose (which we were very nervous about). They took our vision and turned it into real pictures. I love that they deliver so many photos, and the download link is easy to use, and easy to share with our family. They have great suggestions, they know the area very well, which really helps when you're on a time crunch. They knew our venue better than we did, so they were extremely helpful in knowing how to get all the pictures we wanted in time. When you're taking photos they are also very helpful with tips, tricks, and with our veils, suit, train, etc. Now to talk about their product. I cannot believe how absolutely gorgeous the photos turn out. I cried when I got my pictures back, I was so surprised at how beautiful we looked, how the lighting hit us, and how natural we felt. The photos feel like us, they don't feel forced or like we're trying to be someone else. I had a very light, bright and natural idea in mind and that is exactly the kind of photos I got. We are over the moon with the pictures. I cannot recommend them enough, we love you guys!

Our editing and style depends. Very easygoing and flexible depending on the client's preference. Our team is dedicated in delivering memories.

From the moment we met him, it was evident that his professionalism and passion for his craft set him apart. His efficiency on the big day was truly remarkable. He seamlessly blended into the background, ensuring he captured every significant moment without being intrusive. His ability to organize group shots and direct us for those perfect candid moments showcased his experience and expertise. Now, let's talk about the photos - they are nothing short of spectacular! The only "problem" Randell presented us with was making every single photo look so incredible that it's nearly impossible to choose our favorites! As an artist myself, to me each image is a work of art, reflecting his keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of lighting and composition. Randell not only delivered on capturing the essence of our wedding day but exceeded our expectations. His creativity and skill turned ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Hi! I’m Ashley. I’m an artist and photographer working in Philadelphia. (And available for travel!) I’ve been shooting weddings since graduating with a degree in Photography from Drexel University in 2011. In 2015, I earned my MFA in Photography, Video & Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. After spending five years in New York City, building my art practice and teaching at the International Center of Photography, I moved back to Philadelphia ♥ to continue working with couples and families- capturing their most important moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
Ash made my husband and I feel so well taken care of on the day of our wedding. We did not have a traditional wedding at all, and she listened to our ideas and requests and made us feel so comfortable and actually have fun posing for photos as a couple and with our guests and family. We had 3 locations for our wedding - the ceremony in a garden, the reception in an intimate restaurant, and the after party in a beer garden. Ash came with us to each space and like a fly on the wall captured so many excellent candid moments. I feel like she really understood the vibe and tone of our celebration and captured it perfectly - we love the photos (which she got to us so quickly and even mailed us prints)! We definitely recommend Ash to any couple, and can say for other queer couples you will be well cared for and your photos will be as unique and special as your union :) Thanks Ash!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Our wedding photos are pure magic! Thank you Love Knot for everything you did to help us have a fantastic wedding day and create these fantastic wedding photographs! The wedding album you created was the perfect way to share our love story. My mom called me the moment we shared our album with her and she was literally crying tears of joy. I'm so glad to have these incredible pictures and memories.

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can.

Mary was incredibly professional and made us feel super comfortable. She got the couple shots very quickly and then took many beautiful candid fotos. We are really happy with the end result. Mary is super talented, would hire her all over again.

hey you! thanks for dropping by. my name is shelby, and i am a queer artist and manhattan based photographer who specializes in weddings + equine portraiture. my priority as a photographer is developing a personal relationship with each and every one of my clients (two or four legged). your special moments are their most pure when you are comfortable and ready to just have fun, and i am here to create that joyful space.

Awarded Best of Zola
Shelby Phillips impressed me from the start. Before reaching out to her via email in the summer of 2018, I took some time to learn about her. From her personal blog, I learned that she is a graduate of NYU, that she loves photographing horses, that she is also an actor and a writer, and that she has a passion for bringing moments to life through photography. From looking at her curated selection of photographs on her website, I quickly learned that she cares about the minor gestures, the subtleties of a moment, and the play of light. At the time I found her (in 2018), I believe wedding photography was not her main focus; it seemed that she photographed more four-legged animals than did two-legged ones. I personally did not mind this one bit; rather, I found her versatility as a photographer to be a source of strength. If she could capture emotion and beauty without outward displays of emotions and beauty, then that speaks to her craft as an artist. I found her gentle and personal touch to photography to resonate deeply with me, and I also appreciated how she wrote about her life experiences in her blog. Here was a passionate young woman who not only observes the world with her eyes, but also attunes to it with her heart fully open. There was so much feeling evoked in both her writing and her photographs. There was so much vibrancy in her black-and-white captures. I was immediately hooked. I dedicate a whole blog post to Shelby here: https://www.booksmartstreetsmart.com/blog/2019/an-intimate-wedding-my-search-for-a-local-new-york-city-wedding-photographer Here's another snipped from my experience working with Shelby: The 5-minute walk to the wedding venue felt like eternity (in a good way!). I opted for an impractically long train for my wedding dress (I’m old-fashioned at heart!) so my younger sister dedicatedly carried it as I walked ahead of her. There were many stares from strangers along the way, but honestly, I did not pay attention because I was so focused on taking small steps so that I would not trip, or worse, get my heels stuck between the cracks in the sidewalk. It was past 5pm and the sun was blazing hot, but because we were situated right by the water, there was an occasional gentle breeze. Shelby was particularly excited about the wind, because it paved the way for some truly magnificent “action shots.” As I slowly made my way to the venue with my sister directly behind me, and my mother and soon-to-be mother-in-law next to us, Shelby was quick on her feet, capturing the magic in the small moments, while playing with the light. As I look back on the photographs that she took of that day, I am amazed by how she chased the light throughout the day and into the evening, how she beautifully brought life into still photographs, and how she managed to capture all our family and friends in a way that reflects each person’s personality. Today, when I visit Shelby’s website, I immediately notice that it has grown substantially. Since I signed my wedding photography contract, Shelby has taken on many other weddings, bringing life to a blank canvas by means of her camera lens, coupled with her eye for precious moments. I am so pleased to know that she is doing well, and that her dedication to her craft has paid off. PS. It is now 2021 and Shelby and I are still in touch! :) Thank you Shelby <3

Hey! I'm Jess, the owner of the company that's named after me - shocking, right? I'm from the suburbs of Philly but now live up in the mountains of Northeast PA in Montrose, right on the border of Central NY. I'm married to a woodworker (who HAD to be the inspiration behind Ron Swanson because they're the same human), we live on 25 acres with three huge dogs (2 Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees) and three ducks - and I'm constantly begging for more animals. I'm outgoing, sarcastic & humorous, and I love organization/cleaning, sushi, reading, The Office, and traveling everywhere I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
What can I say? My now husband hadn't even proposed to me yet and we were just casually talking about getting married and I was like NO FEAR I ALREADY KNOW THE PHOTOGRAPHER WE NEED. I reached out to Jess before I was officially engaged, or even had a wedding date just because I knew I wanted her on my wedding day. I loved her style, I loved that she shoots film, as well as digital, and she just seemed like a lot of fun. She was very flexible with our engagement session (rainy day was unwanted on our end). She was super quick with communication. And all of our photos were delivered in a very timely manner, the sneak peeks were the best to get, just enough to hold our excitement over. I think that fine art wedding photography is a true gift and I do believe that Jess has that, and you don't just get a photographer out of her, you also get a friend. someone you can rely on, which is really important when it comes to your wedding day. LOOK NO FURTHER, you found your photographer.

My wife and I could not have had a better experience with Agne and Brian. Their professionalism and flexibility through a rather fluid and nontraditional wedding was refreshing and reassuring. One of the few things we were not worried about was the photography and videography. They provided enough direction to make sure we walked away with the pictures and video we wanted. And the video they made? We're sending it to everyone who we tell about the wedding. They were everywhere without being intrusive. Candid coverage and making everyone confortbale in front of the camera was very important to us and they definitely delivered! She truly is such a blast to be around! Both of us had more fun at our engagement shoot then any other part of our wedding planning! She will go above and beyond for her brides, So much so that she offered to go shopping with me to find my dress for our engagement pictures!! I have never met a photographer like Alli that truly connects with her brides! They photographed at the location before and knew all the beautiful spots! The photos came out amazing, they are all gorgeous! I feel like they really understood the look and feel we wanted from our simple, not over-the-top wedding. They captured the moments from the night and the details from the wedding beautifully. Hi! My name is Hannah Jan Schillinger and I’m the owner and lead photographer of Hannah Jan Photo. I grew up in Westchester, New York and graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in Art History. My education in fine art trained me to observe and see the beauty in the everyday. This background guides me to not only capture authentic moments, but gave me a curated eye and ability to document the personality of couples and the spirit of their love celebrations.

Hannah did a great job with our City Hall wedding photos! She was very communicative before the big day and set up calls with us to discuss the style and shots of photos we wanted. The day of, she arrived promptly. She knew City Hall well and took great photos of us both inside and outside. We also shot at another location in Brooklyn she also knew well, so the shoot continued to flow seamlessly. She gave great instructions and suggestions which made for very natural, authentic photos. We felt relaxed throughout and had a great time. Highly recommend!

Heather is amazing!! She was so warm and friendly from our very first call and made us feel so comfortable. Her professionalism shone through in every interaction, but her passion made sure it never felt like she was just doing her job. The day we did our engagement shoot, it was absolutely freezing and we were right on the water. Heather never complained once about the weather, and she made the situation work to our advantage! I hate having my photo taken, and while I was uncomfortable at first, Heather was very patient and soon I felt completely normal. She was able to capture our personalities so well and get amazing shots while never making us feel like she intruded. We loved working with her so much, we wanted to book her for our wedding before we even saw the final shots from the engagement shoot! After seeing the final edits, we knew we had made the right choice. Heather sat with us on a zoom call to go through her top choices from the engagement shoot to get our reactions and feedback, so she can tailor her work for the wedding day to make sure she captures what we want and how we want it. We cannot wait to have her capture our special day!

Liza did everything to make this day as much memorable as it can be! We’re still not sure what we liked more the process or the pictures. It was so easy to work with her. That’s why the photos came out great! The whole family liked it. Definitely worth it. Looking forward to our next photoshoot with Liza !

Hi, I’m Bridget — but you can call me Bee, cause that’s what my friends call me! And since we’re basically already best friends, let me tell you a secret: taking pictures isn’t even the thing I love most about my job. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m as obsessed with taking gorgeous, dripping-in-light photos that you’ll look back on for ages as much as the next photographer. But what I really love? Meeting the most kind-hearted people and getting to know them on a level much deeper than the typical client-photographer relationship.

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Bridget to be our wedding photographer. She took the time to get to know us and discover our vision for our wedding day. She was always available for questions and checked in with us frequently throughout the planning process, which was very reassuring! One of my favorite things that she for us was create a timeline for our wedding day. This was a great resource to give to family members, so they knew where to be and when. It also helped to make sure that we got all of the kinds of pictures that we wanted! Speaking of the pictures, they are absolutely beautiful! Bridget made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera for the staged photographs and skillfully captured so many candid moments. Looking through our album is like reliving the entire day! I highly recommend the package that includes a second photographer, as you are able to get even more coverage. Overall, we love Bridget and are so happy that she was the one we chose to capture our special day. We hope to hire her to capture important events in our lives in the future!

The word ‘milieu’ defines how we want to capture your wedding: as whole of scenery. Any experience is the result of a series of moments and feeling of our interaction with others. Images can recreate those intangible elements more fully in our mind, allowing us to relive our emotional experience long after the day has ended.

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Millie had originally gifted me with a free session via an Instagram contest she had. Little did I know that after that my (now fiancé) had reached out to her to help him plan the most beautiful proposal during our shoot. Not only did the photos turn out incredibly gorgeous, but working with Millie from beginning to end was the best experience. I was so nervous for photos and she eased my nerves and made me feel really comfortable and confident in myself. While planning she listened to things that I was interested in and came up with a wonderful plan for our day together. Overall I had the best day of my life (so noted in my title), and cannot wait to work with Millie again in the future!!

I'm originally from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania but I've lived all over the country and have finally landed in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. My personal hobbies include rock climbing, learning French, fine-tuning my espresso skills, and drinking the best wine I can get my hands on (yes, if you're getting married at a winery, I'm interested!). I've been photographing weddings since 2009 (that's 15 years!) and I'm still not even the least bit bored. Hell, I still cry at weddings on a regular basis. Staying emotional and in the moment is what allows me to capture the moments that matter most to my couples.

We have had the pleasure of working with Rima four times over the last few years. She not only took amazing photos of our engagement and wedding but also did family pictures. Any photographer who can get a toddler to cooperate is a winner in my book! Rima’s pictures are timeless and classic. She really captured our personalities and made us feel comfortable. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Hi I'm Hannah and I'm from tiny fishing village in Cornwall, England but moved here to North Carolina in 2017. Fun fact, they actually filmed some of scenes for the Game of Thrones spin off, House of the dragon there! It's hard to pick favorites but if your wedding includes a dog in the bridal party, a dress with pockets and the cupid shuffle....COUNT ME IN! Among my never-ending list of dream sessions is of course a wedding at Disneyworld and the ultimate outdoorsy engagement session with the wild horses at Shackleford Banks. Don't be surprised when I ask you to add me to your pinterest boards so I can fangirl over your wedding plans.

After speaking to a dozen or so photographers, we had pretty much given up. It seemed like no one was actually willing to work with us on what we were looking for, and were very rigid with the packages they offer. Enter...Hannah. Talking to Hannah immediately made me feel like I was chatting with an old friend. She really took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for. Our engagement session was so much fun, and we couldn't wait until our big day. Matt and Hannah's team was absolutely amazing! They got all of the shots we wanted plus so much more! Anyone that talked with them at the wedding said how sweet and personable they are! Then came the video...and I STILL cry every time we watch it. If you are looking for a company that will listen AND deliver - this team is for you!
