If there's one thing I want you to know about me right away, it's that I know what it is to be completely head over heels in love. I think it's such a gift that we have uniquely different stories, yet somehow, love connects us all. I live in Dallas with my hilarious hockey loving husband. I am positive I look young because he makes me laugh everyday. I cherish the moments of laughter in our apartment. If I could bottle it up, I would. Our love certainly isn't perfect, but it's perfectly ours.

Hi friend, I'm Katelyn! Thinking back, I really have always loved documenting my life through photos, even if I didn't realize that was what I was doing. It all started with me begging my parents to take me to CVS to grab a Kodak disposable camera, using all the film to take photos of anything I could, getting it developed and creating my own personal photo albums that I still have packed away at my parents home. In 2011, my mom purchased the coolest Nikon D5000 DSLR camera (which I eventually took over, sorry mom!!!) and I never looked back.

To put it plainly, photography brings me joy. Being able to capture a couple's wedding day through photos is something I view as sacred, important, and deserving of my deep attention. Photos are our only souvenir, so to truly tell a love story through photos requires effort, understanding, attention, and genuine interest. When I'm working a wedding, I'm not simply pointing my camera and clicking a button. I am focusing on every detail, moment (big and small), gesture, tear, expression, sequin, and shine. For that reason, I love to work with couples whose wedding vision I can connect to and who allow me to help them see it through.
