I was recruited in to the mobile entertainment industry by another DJ company owner because of my stage presence and ability to engage with people. While learning the industry I discovered a love for making every wedding truly unique and dug deep into learning more. I continue to attend annual conferences to stay at the forefront of wedding trends. I am also a Professional wedding planner, officiant bartender and outside of wedding planning I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor.

A Family Friendly DJ LLC is a Licensed DJ for weddings, parties, corporate events, and dances in the greater Portland area. A Family Friendly DJ was named one of Portland's 'Best Of 2016' DJs! for the second time in a row been on their 'Best Of' list.

I have been DJing for friends, family, weddings, schools, and corporate events since 2010. In 2023, I finally launched my company, Williams Weddings and Events with a surge in demand for wedding services. I spent a few years working as a technical manager for a local theater company in Portland. My passion for excellence in audio came from this time running productions for the theater. I now DJ because I love it. It is my passion and an outlet for joy and creativity.

Melvins DJ Service is owned by Melvin and his wife, Sarah. Together for the past almost 10 years, they have built their business from the ground up, while raising their 3 kids. They have recently expanded into a photobooth business (The Couve Booth) primarily operated by Sarah, although offering packages that include both services. Operating out of SW Washington, DJ Melvin serves a broad range of clients and styles in a broad range of areas across Portland and Vancouver area. We do not contract out our DJ services.
