I started Bring Joy because I fell in love with arranging flowers while working as a shop manager in Katy. Since 2017, I've been working hard to grow my company and have recently hired Rebecca who has been with me from the start, offering advice to perfect my arrangements. Originally from the Midwest, I now live in Houston, Texas. Some fun facts about me: I grew up with a big family, shaved my head for a liberating experience, took my first solo flight at 16, and I'm fascinated by psychology. Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

My business began when I was 15 in high school, making prom boutonnières and corsages for my class. God has blessed it since then, as it grew quickly! Over 7 years later, it has been my full time job for 3 years, I now have a team of assistants, and it continues to be my passion. I have been featured in bridal magazines, Brides of Houston, Brides of Austin, Brides of San Antonio, Voyage Austin, completed dozens of weddings, formed an LLC and received my Texas State Floral Association certification. It all started with her brother's wedding. Lien had agreed to craft the floral arrangements for his big day. It went so well that she found herself preparing weekly floral arrangement at their church for the next 12 years. Soon after, Lien committed herself to her career by pursuing classes taught by florist Frankie Shelton, AIFD, & became a certified Texas Floral Designer & member of the American Institute of Floral Designers.
