Hi! Courtney here (that's me on the left!). Shutter and Sound is the brainchild of renowned wedding videographer Ryan Geldermann. Ryan began his wedding videography career in 2010 in Los Angeles and quickly became recognized as one of the top videographers in the U.S.. After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. Shutter and Sound is a very small group of filmmakers dedicated to turning your big day into a work of art.

In 2013, after working professionally in film for many years, I began to apply my interest in storytelling to creating authentic wedding videos. My filmmaking style is a blend of cinematic and documentary elements, with an emphasis on music and emotional expression. My favorite moments to capture are honest and unplanned, so I like to stay in tune and shoot what happens naturally. When I'm not attending weddings, I enjoy writing music, reading, and spending time with my wife and kids in West Chester, PA.

I would always ask family members if they had home videos we could watch...the majority of the time the answer was no... or yes but they are on VHS. Video is a complete separate dimension that captures the real raw emotions of a special day. it is is the one thing that you will be able to look back on and feel that raw emotion captured.
