To be completely honest, I went back-and-forth in the beginning if I was going to have a planner or not because I am very organized and detail oriented and thought I could handle it myself. Why not. I decided to then go for it because I have never done it before and really didn’t know what I was getting myself into. Man am I happy I chose Kayla and Kyla. They made everything so seamless, thought of everything that I never would have and made the process so much fun. I honestly felt like I had 2 of my closest friends on the day of helping me through. It has been 7 months and people are still talking about how organized, beautiful and amazing my wedding was. When I tell you that was the best decision of the entire process I mean it. Yes you can do it alone but it takes away the joy of planning. They make sure you are able to take in every moment, and take care of anything that comes up so you don’t have to. Even on my actual day everything was happening so fast I barely ate. Kayla took me out back and fed me herself to make sure I had something! I’m telling you. As parents of two married children, we have used Saskia twice and it was the best money we spent! They were both dream-come-true events! One was much bigger than the other and every guest I spoke to raved about the attention to detail that was evident. Though I am an organized, detail-oriented person I had NO IDEA what a Herculean effort it would be to execute a 285-person dream wedding without her and her team's help. It is invaluable to have someone who understands what is necessary and has worked in the wedding industry to help you navigate the many elements needed to stay sane and within your budget! We had 14 months to plan a wedding 2 1/2 hours away and at every turn she was there...asking questions I wouldn't know to ask, offering other cost-effective alternatives if I was nervous about a quote, walking the property with us so she could visualize the day and be the intermediary so we could relax and enjoy the day with virtually no worries. We chose to use Saskia's "full-design" option and it is worth EVERY penny! She created an amazing vision board presentation that took every element the bride and groom were hoping to experience. She connected us with other professional, affordable and reliable vendors and was such a calming, yet bad-a** advocate when we needed her as the to-do list started ramping up in the days before. She even brought to life my daughter's dream for a tequila specialty bar that was so creative and fun! I have told everyone about her and am sure she will get even more business from the guests who attended and were blown away by such a perfectly executed event! She is a first class, wedding-executing super hero!!

Congratulations! You’ve just found the best coordinator ever! My husband and I knew we wanted a “day of coordinator” (so we thought it was called) but did not know exactly how much to prioritize or what to ask for. And then we pretty much stumbled upon Emily after posting in a local facebook group about needing a coordinator and we are so grateful we did. We’ve actually joked to one another that our only wedding regret is not having hired Emily to plan the whole thing. Emily is professional, personable, and an incredible problem-solver. Emily does coordination, which means she actually jumps on board a couple months in advance to get you organized and get all of the vendors together. However, it would be a mistake to say she only gets involved at that point—from the moment we chose Emily, she checked in consistently, asked how she could help, and gave us leads as we navigated picking vendors. When we hit the 8 week mark before the wedding, Emily began initiating more meetings and gathering all of the information she needed. We did a venue walk through and a meeting dedicated to decor. This is all to say—Emily has got your back. Additionally, she is always working behind the scenes to make sure everyone is on the same page. Leading up to the wedding, we had been very organized, but of course, in the week or so before the wedding, it felt like total chaos. We added people to our hair/makeup schedule. We had to add a last-minute vendor that totally changed the flow of our set-up. Suddenly three days before the wedding, the forecast called for rain. Emily took this all in stride. She reassured us that our feelings about anything were valid and then promised she would figure out whatever we wanted to have happen. She always had multiple solution-options for every moment of chaos we felt. And then once we had decided what we wanted, she made it happen! On the day of the wedding, I was completely worry-free because I knew Emily had everything under control. Apparently a few things went wrong that neither my husband nor I knew about until later because Emily just handled it (she did check in about one thing that had been important to us, but when she asked about it, she came with multiple solution options for me to pick from). She also goes above and beyond to make anything right if there is a need to do so (all wedding have things go wrong!). All-in-all, you want a coordinator who is on top of things, but you also want one that you want to spend your day with and Emily strikes that balance perfectly. We were actually sad when our wedding ended and we realized we wouldn’t be chatting with her as regularly!

Meshawn and the team at Perfection Unlimited were our Coordination team for our October 2023 wedding. We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests. After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater. Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials. PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. Thanks to PU for what they promised, perfection.
