I can't say enough good things about FlowerWorks and Rachel -- and neither can our wedding guests! Our flowers were truly the talk of our wedding, but what our guests didn't get to see was how Rachel took my very limited knowledge and vision for our florals (lots of texture, color, etc.) and turned it into the arrangements of our dreams. Her knowledge of flowers was evident in our proposal, which included photos of each type of flower which helped paint the picture of possibility for us. She even helped my mom surprise me with a special pin made of her veil for my bouquet, making our day-of and getting ready time even more memorable. From start to finish, I would not have changed a thing and cannot recommend Rachel and FlowerWorks enough!

New Leaf Florals

5.0

Plainville, CT

The first day I worked in floral design, I knew I was home. It quickly became my passion, inspiration, and outlet and has allowed me to bring so much added beauty to people’s favorite days! It’s all in the details and as overwhelming as it may be, that’s where I find solace! Working as a partner and team mate to my clients, I find, creates the best experience to fit everyone’s needs, keeping the quality of product and experience! With that being said, let’s get to work!

      Fountainhead Floral Design

      5.0

      Milford, CT
      • Starts at $3,000
      • Serves Granby, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate created such gorgeous floral arrangements for our April 23’ wedding! All of the florals, from our bouquets to our arch, were just perfect! She was so flexible, professional, and kind throughout, and made sure everything looked absolutely gorgeous day of. I also loved that she provided a vision board very early on in the process. Seeing our ideas on paper then come to life on wedding day was so fun. Kate also surrounds herself with a fabulous team, and her assistants who came to breakdown were lovely. We highly highly recommend Kate!!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

      5.0

      Oklahoma City, OK
      • Serves Granby, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

      Awarded Best of Zola
True story! I dropped the ball on my daughters wedding greens and missed the 14 day order deadline. I reached out to Flower Moxie, they got back to me almost immediately and walked me through the rush order process. My greens arrived beautiful!! They were fresh and came wrapped with damp paper and ice packs. Sue with Flower Moxie was terrific when I had questions about my order. I don’t review many companies but I will shout praise to Flower Moxie from the roof top!!

I am so thankful that I used Wood & Word Blooms for my wedding flowers. Jen was so patient and kind while I obsessed over what colors to have for my flowers since my main color was sage and that isn't ideal for florals (In my opinon). From the moment I started planning my wedding I knew I wanted something that was not real because I have a lot of allergies and I wanted to be able to keep it forever. When I came across Wood & Word Blooms, I first did a class. Once I did that, I knew this was the perfect place for my wedding florals. I am so grateful that I can still have my bouquet and other florals weeks to years after my wedding. Every time I see them hanging I smile because it reminds me of my special day.

I planned my wedding at the height of the first wave of COVID. Poppy had put together a proposal for me for a full range of flowers and table settings for my big wedding. Then, a few months ahead of the wedding we postponed. Poppy was totally accommodating in shifting the date. Finally we downsized to an intimate front yard wedding— at the last minute. I reached out to Poppy to see if they could provide me with just a bouquet and boutonnière. Once again, Poppy was super flexible. I was able to pick up both items the day before the wedding and they were absolutely stunning! I had wanted something a little more informal for our garden setting and they totally delivered, with a lush bouquet even featuring a foraged vine. I was so grateful to have beautiful flowers (we even repurposed for centerpiece at dinner) and an incredibly easy experience. Not everyone would have been willing to accommodate so many changes in plans, dates, and scale, but Poppy did so willingly and with a smile. I’ve already recommended them to another bride who used them for her own wedding this past April. Look no further than Poppy!! They are the best!

We hired Marielle for a balloon arch and display and it was amazing! All of our guests complimented the display and asked about who did it. Her work is fantastic and the service, communication, and attention to detail was unparalleled. Will definitely be booking her for future events.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
