My path into video production is a little different than most - I used to work as an aerospace engineer, and was fortunate enough to work on some amazing projects helping design aircraft that are now flying missions all over the world. With that in mind I decided to start this company to be able to collaborate and work with a wider variety of people, and to tell their stories. Hello, my name is Darren Baca and I am the owner and director of Reel Eyes. From a very early age, film has always been a passion of mine. As a child my favorite toy was my parent’s video camera as I was always making movies with friends. Instead of writing book reports in high school teachers allowed me to make video spoofs instead. Because of this, I helped start a video production class at my former high school that gives students the opportunity to explore their own creative paths.

I absolutely love creating films for couples that make them weep. I have been creating videos for over 20 years. I am passionate about telling your love story in a way thats right for you. I always have a partner with me to help get different angles and add to the over all story.

With backgrounds in marketing and film production, we specialize in commercial content creation, independent film production, and cinematic wedding services. I am a cinematographer based out of Rochester, New York. In over ten years I’ve evolved from shooting choppy ski movies on a beat up GoPro to professionally delivering high-quality films for couples seeking to preserve their special days. When I watch my old GoPro footage, even all these years later, I can feel myself transported back to that time and place, just like I can with the thousands of other videos that I’ve taken since. It’s that power to preserve special moments - and the different constellations of memories and emotions that make them special - that drove me to cultivate filmography as a hobby.

Hi! I am Braden, nice to meet you! I fell in love with filmmaking and photography at a young age. This job has taken me many exciting places and I'm so happy I get to do this for a living. I love capturing weddings and being able deliver a highlight reel of your special day!
