Ed Hafizov is a creative director and lead photographer of Zorz Studios, Manhattan-based boutique photography studio, offering alluring and daring fashion, commercial, beauty, and wedding photography. Commissioned by clients from Alaska to India, he braves both the New York City metro area and the world, eager to step out of his–and willing clients’–comfort zone to pursue original artwork with a lasting impression.

I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.

Dawit began his career as a fine art wedding photographer in 2010. In the intervening years, he’s been named a top wedding photographer by Washingtonian Weddings, and Inside Weddings. His signature aesthetic — timeless, light-filled, and boldly romantic images inspired by his couples’ heartfelt emotion and presented with an editorial edge Dawit’s art is strongly influenced by high fashion and international travel. He’s had the honor of photographing weddings throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Europe in his decade-long career.

I'm a wife, believer, teacher, and gardener, and I would say I'm crunchy(ish). You can often find me with a Starbucks refresher in hand or stuffing my face with pizza. Most days, I don't even bother wearing makeup and love to be outdoors getting my hands dirty or basking in the sun with a good book. Speaking of good books, one of my favorite spots to go is the library and when I'm not there, I love to roam around Terrain or a greenhouse. I dream of a simple life and am enjoying pursuing that with my husband.

I am a fine art wedding photographer and wedding planner, wife, and mother to our three sweet babies! I first fell in love with photography at an early age. I became very inspired watching my father photograph weddings and capturing the authentic joy on his clients best day. It was then that I fell in love with the concept of love and knew what I wanted to do. I went on to film photography in high school and digital photography in college. After college I started a job as a party coordinator. I did this for years. Then, on blind faith started my own journey into the world of photography and wedding planning!
