Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Central Point, OR

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Doing our own wedding flowers was the best choice my daughter made for her wedding, other than choosing the groom of course. You do have to commit some time in the days before the wedding but it is so worth it. There are so many video tutorials to watch that you feel like an expert. They don't leave you high and dry after you purchase either. They are in contact with you to make sure everything is going good. That was very helpful. The memories we made together by making our own flower arrangements and bouquets using Flower Moxie was priceless. It also looked like we spent a fortune on flowers because we had so many extra (they give you more than you need to account for some loss) that we had flowers everywhere as extra decoration.

Jen was so sweet and easy to work with! I changed my order a few times and she never complained, just walked me through the changes. My flowers were GORGEOUS! I received so so so many compliments on how beautiful and real looking they are. I love that I can keep them forever and put them on display or Jen said she can turn them into a wreath. Brittney was an amazing person to work with! She was great at providing all the information for the rentals such as what was provided in the package, the selection of flowers, and when we came into her store to see the flowers, I was happy with what she had. Super nice gal along with her staff, and being a Christian like me was the icing on the cake! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for rent flowers for their wedding or any special occasion. Thank you very much!

    Bloom Culture: Do-it-yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Central Point, OR

A common misconception about Bloom Culture is that we are telling people they SHOULD DIY their wedding flowers… when in reality we are telling people they CAN DIY their wedding flowers… if they want to. With Bloom Culture you can create you own wedding flowers with Confidence. We help you get creative, stay in-control of your wedding budget, and enjoy the most beautiful wedding flowers. We have pre-made DIY Flower Collections or you can get a custom design with our FREE online quote or chat with us one on one for more guidance!

    Awarded Best of Zola
As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation

    5.0

    Harrisburg, PA
    • Starts at $250
    • Serves Central Point, OR

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.

    Olive & Twine Floral Co.

    5.0

    Eugene, OR
    • Starts at $2,500
    • Serves Central Point, OR

I have worked every aspect of the event planning and floral industry for over a decade. Aa a Bay Area local, I’ve apprenticed with local bakers, caterers, florists, and event coordinators since the age of 16. I’ve always been drawn to work with my hands, work with beautiful materials, and celebrating the opportunity to bring joy into others lives.

Olivia was a pure joy to work with for our wedding! We had to turn our 200 person wedding to a backyard wedding during Covid, and Olivia made the transition so seamless and easy for us! Not only is she professional, but she is the nicest person to work with, and never made my floral ideas feel weird or wrong. On the day of our wedding, Olivia worked tirelessly to make the backyard into the wedding venue of our dreams! I walked outside and immediately started crying because she knew my vision better than I could even put into words when we were planning. Her flowers turned my wedding into a magical space and I will forever be grateful. I could not recommend Olivia enough, and your experience working with her will be nothing less than a pleasure!

Now, I am a freelance floral designer with a home studio. I am able to create everyday arrangements, memorial pieces, installations, and wearables, but enjoy weddings and events the most. She also provides excellent insight and suggestions on other flowers you may not be aware of or think to use to make everything as beautiful as possible. Suzanne and Erin were amazing - they worked with us and our budget and didn’t bat an eye when we asked to add a few more arrangements just a few days before the wedding. They were super responsive and I think one thing that definitely set them apart from the other vendors that I spoke to was that they actually showed me photos of the exact types of flowers that they were going to use based on my inspiration photos which was really nice to really visually see them. I really wanted simple flowers, and was worried that it wouldn’t be enough, but they honestly knocked it out of the park I love that they used local flower suppliers that was really important to me. They were on time to set everything up the day of the wedding and stayed after for repurposing, which they did so quickly and seamlessly my guests didn’t even notice. It was truly an amazing experience working with them, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a florist in the area. I also love that they are mother-daughter team which hits home for me, because I to share a business with my mother!

Poppin' Peonies began to bud in 2020 & it has flourished in the last few years. I'm Bre, I am a solo-traveling florist and LOVE any adventure when it comes to a new area. Floral design began as a hobby and grew into a true passion. I love gardening and sourcing from local farms (in addition to my own garden!) as much as possible to give each client the best product possible. Being a part of your special day is truly an experience to encounter. Helping create the overall aesthetic of the event and watching the pieces come together is amazing! I hope to bring your unique touch to your wedding day!

What a pleasure it has been working with Poppin' Peonies. They create a beautiful atmosphere for our clients and make Earlyhouse look even more festive. So professional and always so pleasant. We love it when Poppin Peonies is on board!

Sophia is the creative force behind Botanical Preserves. Raised in an artistic household, she’s worked with multiple mediums over the years, with five years of experience in floral design. Having a fascination with the realm of plants and their healing powers, Sophia surrounds herself with botanicals and their many elements. The concept of floral design as a living, restorative, art form gave her a deep respect for flowers and their unique personality. Their nature of fragility adds to their elusiveness, and gives her the opportunity to exhibit the never-to-be-replicated side of her personality every time she works with floral product.

I got married in Florida and planned my wedding kind of fast which lead to so many things going wrong in my wedding but the one thing that went absolutely perfect and delivered more than I could've ever asked for was my florist Sophia! She was honestly what kept and brought everything together in the end! I let her do her thing and she was very professional and really has an eye to make her arrangements look like works of art! I honestly wish I could've kept my bouquet forever it was gorgeous and to this day when I show my wedding pictures everyone is amazed at the work she did! After working with her on my wedding day I would definitely recommend Botanical Preserves for your special events! I do not know what I would've done without her I am so grateful for everything she did for me :)

Born and Raised with family in the greenhouse & flower shop trade, I started my company when I was 25 after working in New York City doing large events and installs. Loving my rural roots and the ability to grow, I settled down in central Ohio on a 17 acre farm where I grow many unique specimen of floral & fruit.

Working with Andrew was the highlight of our wedding weekend! He is so talented and fun to work with! He communicated great during the process and made my floral dreams come to life! He also helped with the tablescapes from the chargers, plates, silverware, napkins, napkin rings etc which made the tables even more amazing. I would highly recommend Andrew for ANY and ALL florals needs no matter the size of the project.

These values are held at the forefront of Pacific ReBloom." Lans, a queer CHamoru artist, discovered their love language of flowers by creating arrangements for themself and their loved ones. Thanks to the support of their community, Lan's expertise blossomed through the intimate connections that give life to their work. I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.

My flowers were so so so beautiful. Most people didn’t know they were wood. I could not have asked for a more beautiful bouquet! I’m so excited that my bouquet will get to see my bouquet everyday and it will last forever. HIGHLY recommend India!
