We found this venue after a quick Google search, and we ended up loving it! The venue itself is rustic and beautiful with all of the succulents. The company was good to work with and answered all of our questions! There were 2 issues I had working with them, but overall they were easy to work with. We worked with a different person for each step of the planning process. I had a different consultant for my first call, in person consult, and day of planner (who was absolutely amazing!). Much of the time when we emailed questions, they were answered by different people within the company and I would receive multiple replies for the same question. I would’ve really liked to have just one contact instead of bouncing between people. My second problem is that it would be days before I would get a reply from them, and much of the communication was behind of the schedule we were initially given. I received an email for our final payment with specific instructions a week late on the day of the rehearsal…which was also when the payment was due. Luckily we were able to scrape it together just in time. All in all, they were great, put together a wonderful wedding day and took good care of us.

It’s a semi all inclusive venue so they provided a planner (we had Courtney, she was great!) set up meetings throughout the planning process to go over timeline, details & food. The food was amazing as well! We did family style. The venue was stunning, especially at night. I highly recommend working with Trademark at any of their venues.

My husband and I got married here in November 2023 and it was a truly incredible experience. I feel like the La Jolla Women’s club is a hidden gem. I had a lot of family and friends coming from out of town and La Jolla is a great part of San Diego for them to come to and stay for the weekend. The venue is close to everything and has a beautiful charm. It is simple and elegant, allowing us to dress it up as we wanted. Our photographer was able to get some incredible photos because the venue has so many nooks and crannies with slightly different feels. The front lawn in particular, has a gorgeous tree (we got married in front of it) and a beautiful fountain in the other end. There are courtyards on either aide of the main building and then the dance floor/dinning room is in the main building. One of the things that is so great about it is that your guests can come to one venue and experience the whole wedding event, just moving around the venue. Also we had a lot of choice about where things happened (the ceremony in front of the tree and our cocktail hour in a specific courtyard). We chose to do dinner inside, but outside could have been an option. Erin, the Events Manager is great to work with! Communicative and provided us solid recommendations for other vendors. I would love to see other people I know get married here!

From my initial call with Amanda I knew I would be taken care of, and she and her team went above and beyond. Their list of preferred vendors really helped me narrow down my selections from coordination to catering, floral & entertainment and especially knowing that each of these vendors have worked in the space many times before, eased so many of my worries. Amanda helped me navigate that list to find ones that worked with our budget, style and vision. If you are looking for a venue that will go the extra mile with attention to (every little) detail, patience, professionalism and kindness- then you have found your match! Our wedding day was absolutely flawless, and the venue was beyond stunning. The view alone with the simple elegance of the space, made it so we did not have to spend a ton to make a real "wow" experience for us and our guests. Dream Day!

I cannot stop raving about this venue and the whole event planning team. We had such an amazing experience having out wedding at the Horton Grand Hotel, it makes me want to do it all over again. The venue itself is beautiful and provides a perfect romantic setting for an outdoor wedding. Planning a wedding this year during COVID was nothing short of difficult but Jennifer and the whole event planning staff were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole planning process and really made planning this wedding and keeping our original date so easy. Jennifer constantly kept us updated on the current status of the hotel and was amazing at relaying information related to closures and events to us. She was knowledgeable about the restrictions and helped us plan for a day that was not only perfect in every way but also provided safety to our guests. It was a pleasure having our wedding at such a beautiful location and we were so pleased with how it all turned out and the responsiveness of the staff. There were a number of last minute challenges that made our planning stressful, it was worth every stress and the staff at the Horton Grand Hotel helped us through every set back allowing us to fully enjoy our day. A special shoutout to Amy, Union Kitchen and Taps event coordinator! Amy made the overwhelming process of wedding planning fun, easy and truly enjoyable. She is personable, down to earth, kind and radiated a calming presence that helped ease all the nerves that come along with a big event. Her knowledge and experience in the field shows and her passion for making our vision come to life was evident. She was extremely patient with us and took the time to understand our vision and then was able to execute it with such grace. This location was perfect!!!! I honestly couldn't have been more pleased with how easy the owners made my planning. Loved that we were able to bring outside vendors for food. They are family owned and let me tell you they make you feel like family. That was one of my favorite things about this venue. Karis was amazing. She is one of the owners and was so welcoming. I loved that they had all the things I needed and had connections if they didn't. This made planning stress-free. I didn't have to call around to find chairs/tables/linen/heaters etc. My guests were all amazed with how unique and beautiful the venue was. Hopefully in the near future we can have our baby shower there.

Choosing Flora as our venue was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We initially had viewed other downtown San Diego locations and just happened to find them and get them on the schedule, and it was absolutely the right decision. Full disclosure up front, they do have a relatively strict contract regarding the rules and regulations of the venue. With that being said, their team was incredibly open and responsive in having conversations about the contract, and personalized it when we identified some very specific circumstances as it related to us. Due to a smaller guest count we were owed money after the wedding, and we received the check in the mail, along with the security deposit, two days after the event had taken place which was a great weight off our shoulders. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The live foliage indoors with the skylights immediately sold us as soon as we entered the building. The floor layout is perfect for small to mid-sized guest counts, with ours seating 80 people perfectly. With the gorgeous tables, chairs, and other décor housed on-site it makes planning rentals and decorations that much easier not needing to deal with outside vendors. The staff could not have been more professional if we had asked. Katherine, Jameson, Erin, and the rest of their team were consistently responsive in the planning and execution of the wedding, constantly providing feedback and information when it was required. We had a handful of elderly/handicapped guests, and Jameson personally went to each and every one of them throughout the night to ensure that if there was anything they needed it would be taken care of. Especially on the day-of the wedding, Jameson was absolutely exceptional along with the bar staff in ensuring that transitions went smoothly and the guests had a great experience. He was always available for a phone call or email, and worked with us directly in problem solving and brainstorming ideas to make our day as special as possible. There have been countless guests who have given us feedback on how great the bar service was, which we could not have been happier with. All-in-all, Flora was an incredible venue to host our special day. We cannot give their team and the location better recommendations for couples looking to have a downtown San Diego wedding.

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing my experience with Verbena was. I am a wedding photographer by trade, so I have not only been to hundreds of weddings, I’ve worked them. When it came time to plan my own wedding, I knew I wanted something intimate and unique, and WOW did Verbena deliver. Not only is it the CUTEST on the inside (great for photos) but the food is life changing. It’s not just “good for a wedding” food, it’s incredible period. We had custom cocktails created by their in house mixologist, and Ronnie the head chef came up with a custom seasonal menu just for us. One of my guests described her meal as “magical”, and many more said it was the best food they’ve EVER eaten at a wedding. If you are planning a small wedding and want something unique, classic, and DELICIOUS, run. Don’t walk.

And the open floor plan really helps with making the space your own for a little bit. It was really easy to map out everything you needed for the day. The BEST part was this venue has indoor/outdoor space. Perfect for those who want to stay warm, while also perfect for those who needed to get some fresh air. This is a major selling point if you plan on getting married in SD since this venue is close to the water. Personable hosts, very professional. They offered glasses of wine to us every time we did a site visit. Extremely communicative and flexible to work with your schedule if need be. Marlene was our wedding coordinator and she really did everything she could to make our day so special. She knows what it's like when they say, "Treat your guests like family"... She made you feel right at home! She will do everything within her power to make you feel at ease. There was not one time I felt concerned. Our bartender, Bryan, was the SWEETEST! He would make your drink and just talk with you like he knew you already. Our guests absolutely loved him. Even if you're not planning a wedding, I would recommend this spot to friends and family for other types of events, for sure. Such a classy establishment with the FRIENDLIEST people.

As the bride, I had selfish allergy, but the peking duck and steak cubes I had, was amazing. From the amount of guests we had and the feedback we got, everyone LOVED the food. I could write a book about how wonderful this venue is! A truly hidden gem in the historic art district in Dana Point. What makes it even more amazing are Cynthia and her husband Doug! Cynthia helped me coordinate and plan our event for my son’s Baptism reception and she brought the ideas in my head to life!! I’ve been disappointed with coordinators before. Cynthia is amazing! She took all of my stresses away and eased my mind with her guidance, experience, and professionalism. And one of the most important things to mention is that she worked with the budget I had to create that wonderful evening for us. She and Doug truly treat you like family. And they treated all of our family during the event - like family! Making sure everything was set up perfectly. And that everyone was enjoying themselves! I can’t thank her enough and would absolutely recommend her catering services as well as this venue to everyone! Venue: Absolutely unique! They have projectors throughout the venue that can display moving backgrounds or photo montages throughout your event. So it can feel like you’re in an underwater aquarium, or NY in the 50s, or in a peaceful forest! They can also display different backgrounds or photo montages in different areas of the venue. Music: they have speakers throughout the venue and also outside so you can give them a playlist or even sync your Bluetooth so you can have your own playlist going. I suggested to Doug the “vibe” I was going for - Nora Jones meets Michael Buble meets Indie Arie. He definitely delivered!! You can also hire a DJ or a live band, however that may decrease your space usage for the venue. So it just depends on how many guests you want to have. Dance floor: they can stage the dance floor almost anywhere in the venue! Again, depending on how many guests you have. Outdoor patio: cute stylish outdoor patio area with fire pit! Our guests loved lounging in this area. Flower arrangements: Cynthia showed me several examples and were exactly what I envisioned! Food and beverages: SO delicious! Cynthia has a website of her catering services and menu options to choose from, or you can let her know the type of food you’re thinking of having and she can totally work with you! With her expertise, you can rest easy that she will deliver. We chose to have food served buffet style, but hors d’ouvres were butler In terms of beverages, we had water and tea station as well as a coffee and hot tea station. There is also the cutest little bar on the patio of the venue where Cynthia let us purchase our own alcohol to be served to our guests! And our bartender was awesome - professionally courteous yet super friendly and down to earth. The wait staff - professional and courteous! Very kind to all of our guests. Parking: There is a lot across the venue where guests can park and a few parking spaces right next to the venue. BONUS: We were able to drop off materials we needed to set up for the evening of the event a week prior! Depending on if the venue has events going on, Cynthia let me store most of our materials there a few days before the event which is such a time saver and stress reliever!! I was able to bring in the set up for our DIY photobooth, the frames that we were to display throughout the venue, and the beverages we purchased for the event as well as the cake! I highly recommend this venue and will definitely contact them again for future events!!

The space will offer a luxurious, comfortable, and stimulating atmosphere with the familiarity and romance of the European countryside accented with slight urban and contemporary features. The Harper will create the perfect backdrop for each event’s interpretation and personal touches.

I've been in the industry since 2014 and the Harper is by far one of my favorite venues to work at! As a planner/coordinator myself, I've worked with several venues and none are as professional and accommodating to its guests as well as its vendors. I always know that everyone that comes through Harper's doors are in good hands from beginning to end. Service is always impeccable--making the wedding planning process and the day-of as seamless as can be! I do not know any vendor nor any couple that has been dissatisfied with the Harper and this speaks volumes to how they treat the people they serve. Will continue to recommend the Harper to my clients who are looking for a beautiful, modern venue that will not disappoint!
