I grew up playing in the woods, collecting natural materials and gardening with my father from the time I could walk. I was always a gardener first. Everywhere I lived I've left a perennial garden behind. In college, I was taking a walk in the fall to unwind from exams collecting pods, dried flowers and grass as I went. Upon return I wove a wreath from my collection. A friend stopped by admired what I had done, she asked what was in it, I told her- oh, just a bunch of weeds. At which she said you little weedweaver you! It stuck and years later it only seemed fitting to use it as my own.

At Ephemera, we create both floral design and photography for weddings and events - but really, we tell stories. We take the raw truth, love, commitments, and community that surround an event and translate it into the languages that express love best, that of imagery and flowers.

Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.
