The Boylston Rooms

5.0

Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,600

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

We were grateful for the air conditioned space that still allowed great lighting and beautiful pictures. We were able to use a lot of the Boylston Room's inventory of decoration and other items which helped saved us money and not buy wasteful things. We used the arch, large sign holders, table number holders, candle holders, the card box and more. When we met with the team to go over initial details, they were really helpful in suggesting what they had and were also able to assist us via email as we continued to make decisions. Finally, the staff of the Boylston Rooms were very helpful day of. They were constantly making sure that we had what we need (food, water, etc.) and they were very helpful in letting guests know when and where to go. Additionally, they were creative in their solutions and were willing to go the extra mile. When my dress got dirty, Myles busted out a lint roller and got on the ground to help clean my dress. Also, working with seasoned pros, the have the expertise to help present you with various options to make a decision (like seating charts or timing decisions). They are well versed in what they do, and have seen a lot of different weddings so have great example to go off of. One final item is that (at least when we had our wedding) you are required to use Myers Catering, which ended up being great because they have a lot of food options and the quality was great!

Woodwinds

4.3

Branford, CT
  • Up to 600 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $110

WoodWinds is one of the most sought after Connecticut wedding venues for wedding receptions, banquets, corporate events or any special occasion, in the Tri-State area. A wedding in our impressive European Country Manor will reflect your personal vision. Imagine a magical experience, enhanced by a unique ceremony and reception on the beautiful grounds of WoodWinds. Envision standing on a grand staircase under the twinkle of Austrian Crystal chandeliers, taking pictures in a magnificent garden and dancing the night away on a marble dance floor.

The Woodwinds made everything I hoped and dreamed about for my wedding happen. They give you a planner to help you through the process and he was awesome. He answered all my many questions and even answered some I didn’t even know I had. He guided us through the process, and it was so helpful and easy. We joked about Dr. Pepper in our planning meeting and how it was my husband’s favorite drink and how that was the only downside of woodwinds. When we entered the room and sat down after our first dance there was a bottle of Dr. Pepper in a champagne bucket. These guys really care about their jobs!!!! When we left our bridal attendant was saying how they just opened up a restaurant in Old Saybrook, and although we only will get married once, we cannot wait to go back for the food!

We had an amazing wedding reception at the Delaney House. I walked into wedding planning clueless and Nicole helped guide us through the whole process, with selecting an amazing photographer and DJ, to taste testing entrees and wedding cakes, everything went smoothly and as planned! The staff were very attentive during the reception and everyone commented what a beautiful wedding it was, even on a rainy day! We had our after party at the Mick and stayed at the D Hotel. I would 100% recommend the Delaney House!

The Mansion at Bald Hill hosted our daughter's wedding reception recently. We cannot say enough about the experience we had there! The food was delicious, and it was served by a professional, polite wait staff. The ambiance was amazing. The cocktail hour was outside on the patio. The guests loved the fire pit! The dining room was beautiful and comfortable, accommodating our 86 guests, no more than 6 per table, which were 6 feet apart. Dancing was outside in a tent with a 6 piece band. Two weeks before the wedding, we never thought our daughter's and son-in-law's special day could look like this. Their wedding reception was originally planned at a venue in MA, but the Covid guidelines changed on 8/11, reducing outdoor gatherings in MA to 50 people, from 100 people. We had already reduced the size of the wedding from 200 to 100, back in July when the guidelines were changed initially. The church was in Worcester, MA, so we were able to travel to this venue in CT, where the guidelines allowed us to have close to the 100 we had planned for. We would have had to cancel the wedding if we had to keep it to 50, because our family is larger than 50, and we could not leave out family. Janet came to our rescue, after I reached out to her on August 11. She made this magical day happen in 10 days, as if she had a year in advance to plan it! She is amazing-so easy to work with, so professional and efficient and couldn't do enough for us to make it the wedding they always dreamed of! This venue is a gem!

My husband and I truly cannot thank Neil Gadbois and his entire team for all their work to make our wedding in July 2021 so incredible! We were a couple who had to postpone our wedding from 2020 due to covid, and throughout the process Neil did everything he could to help us find a new date, kept us up-to-date on current guidelines, and once we had a new date, guided us through planning the perfect wedding reception. On the day of the event, everything went so perfectly! He and his staff are true professionals who made our wedding day everything we’d hoped for and more! Our guests have raved about the food, the service, and the beautiful space! We cannot recommend The Roosevelt Room at Union Station highly enough.

Bill Miller's Castle

5.0

Branford, CT

  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $9,000

A magnificent, breathtaking landmark, Bill Miller’s Castle has served as an elegant venue for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. Meticulous attention to detail, natural stonework, exposed reclaimed beams, an antique bronze bell weighing more than one ton, and rare antique furniture create a beautiful backdrop for any event or special occasion. Featuring five working field-stone fireplaces, three-story cathedral ceilings, ornate stained glass windows, crystal chandeliers, and a large dance floor; the grandeur of Bill Miller’s Castle will make your guests feel truly extraordinary from the moment they walk through the door.

Bill Millers gave us our fairytale wedding! Lisa and her daughter were lovely to work with. We were brides that wanted a one stop shop so that we didn’t have to think of all the smaller details. We got that and more! They handled catering, linens, seating for the ceremony and reception, setting up decor the day of, the list goes on! Lisa was also a huge help when it came to planning the ceremony. Since we are a same sex couple, there were traditions we had to tweak and she helped make it our own. She made us feel comfortable from the beginning and that meant the world to us! Another thing we loved most on our wedding day was that we felt prioritized. They made sure we were feeling our best, that we had time to sit as a couple alone after the ceremony for a few minutes and just take it all in. They even brought us a plate of appetizers! I can’t say enough about this venue, they did an amazing job and made our dreams come true! Highly recommend!

19Main
New Milford, CT
  • Up to 130 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.
