“We had a memorable and positive experience with Rian as our wedding DJ. He stands out from the rest of the crowd with his unique style and personality (the 70s tuxedo helps!). Oddly enough his website, which is refreshingly quirky and interesting, made him a top option when we were DJ searching. From our initial call, he was very fun to get to know, and while satisfyingly honest about personal tastes, is still more than happy to fulfill your vision and preferences. He also offers uplighting as an add-on, which was an absolute steal compared to what our venue was offering. We worked with him a few weeks prior to the wedding to get an abridged cut of our first dance song, and Rian thoughtfully provided us several edits to choose from. For the reception, we created a playlist of starting suggestions, and he did a great job playing a mix of our recommended tracks with a blend of his own selections across a wide range of genres. At one point a cousin shouted from the dance floor, "How is this all music I grew up with!?!?!" amid the opening beats of Be My Lover (what a great pick, we didn't suggest it but wow, did it fit perfectly). We also come from immigrant families, and so we wanted to include some non-Western music in the mix. Rian had taken the time to dig up some classic nostalgic standards from our families' cultures and play them during cocktail hour. Every single "must play" was played, every "do not play" was respected to a T. We danced so much, we even forgot to get dessert. He and his assistant Sam were super polite and effusive and made our wedding night fly by. Thank you guys!”

“We got married on 10/08/2023 and booked Joey for both live entertainment and DJ. We selected him because he's a beatboxing cellist/DJ which we thought was totally awesome, and he did not disappoint. He was incredible and so much fun to work with! Our vision was pretty quirky; our venue was a funky brewery in an old airplane hangar, our attire was Art Deco-style, we didn't want any tradition "wedding" music, and had a tasteful ode to Batman incorporated into our theme. Joey took our vision and ran with it. He had so many creative ideas and input throughout the whole planning process. Beginning with the ceremony, he played cello versions of non-traditional 80s, pop, and rock songs, which were beautifully interpreted and set the perfect mood for the perfect moment. During "Beer Hour", he shifted to playing the cello while beatboxing and singing to more non-traditional songs. I have to say we were not expecting him to sing, but were pleasantly surprised by his beautiful voice! We and our guests were thoroughly impressed by his talent and charisma. When we transitioned to the reception, Joey switched gears to DJ/MC mode. He and his wife who was assisting him were seriously the life of the party. We requested that our grand entrance song be the Batman Forever theme song, and he came up with a minute-long "movie trailer" intro for us. It was epic and hilarious, and the perfect way to set the tone for the entire evening. Throughout the night, he played both songs we requested as well as other songs that fit our vibe perfectly. We were on the dance floor all night (other than when my husband left when the Niners game started haha). He and his wife were also rocking out with us at the DJ booth. It's easy to see that Joey loves what he does. His passion for music and creativity shines, and we can't thank him enough for making our wedding day "the most fun wedding we've ever been to" according to every single one of our guests. Justin impressed us early on with his professionalism, communication, organization, and planning. He showcased his experience as he took our playlists and preferences and created a run of show that was everything we dreamed of. He even took the time to provide insights, explain decisions, and walk us through his process. Justin collaborated easily with our venue and vendors, setting up his equipment and sound booth and running the music and flow of the night. We can’t speak highly enough about the quality of his sound and equipment, from the ceremony mics, to the speakers, to the DJ Booth where he projected a logo for our wedding. He exceeded our expectations highlighting the music important to us but also reading our guests and creating an electric dancefloor. “I cannot say enough about how happy I am that I hired Restless Voices for our holiday wedding. I have always loved a capella and when we decided to a smallish (40) person at home wedding, I knew I needed something that would be the right size for the venue while still being uplifting and engaging for the crowd that spanned generations. I reached out to Jordyn when we were all still dealing with COVID and they were so accommodating to my questions, worked with me on pricing, offered and helped me figure out sound for the ceremony, and provided DJ services. They were on time, dressed as promised, super flexible (it rained all day), and just all around nice. EVERYONE loved them and people I've never seen dance got up and shook their groove thang. As a side, the week of the wedding I had a family emergency occur in my immediate family and we were contemplating possibly postponing. When I told Jordyn she was so empathetic and supportive and while I'm thrilled we went forward, I can't say enough about how much her response meant. I continue to get calls from people who attended about who they were and have made at least 2 referrals. I am hopeful to have the pleasure of using them again for future parties!”
