    Mystic, CT

“For me, Hana is something bigger than just doing wedding flowers. We are part of one of life’s momentous occasions, and to partake in that is extraordinary. It is my way of sharing something beautiful with the world and I am indeed grateful for it.”

      Awarded Best of Zola
Yumiko at Hana Floral Design was one of the first vendors I really clicked with during my wedding planning experience, and the rest was history! I am so glad I found her early in the planning process. Her ability to understand and execute my tropical-inspired wedding vision gave me full confidence that my wedding would be success. Throughout the process, Yumiko easily adapted to new ideas, took feedback in stride, offered helpful (really helpful) ideas, and seamlessly communicated with my other vendors to turn my vision into a reality. She had awesome connections (helped to find my amazing photographer) and she went above and beyond to turn our blank canvas of a tent and transform it into a tropical, island chic space. I felt so incredibly lucky to work with her, and throughout called her the VIP of my wedding day. She is amazing, truly the best!!!!!

        Fountainhead Floral Design

        5.0

        Milford, CT
        • Starts at $3,000
        • Serves Amston, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate was the florist for my October 2021 wedding and I am so thrilled with how everything turned out! I seriously cannot say enough good things about her! After our first phone conversation, Kate put together a "vision board" for me; she was able to capture the vibe I was going for much better than I was able to explain it. I knew right then that I had found the right person for the job! :-) The flowers were so elegant— all of our guests were raving about them! Even my photographers commented on how exceptionally gorgeous they were (and they see A LOT of wedding flowers). Despite having an October wedding in New York, I really wanted to include palms in my florals, and Kate managed to incorporate them perfectly. Not only is Kate super talented, she's also a genuinely nice person who is a pleasure to work with. She always responded to me right away and kept me in the loop with everything. She made a very stressful (albeit fun) time a lot less stressful. I highly recommend using Fountainhead Floral Design for your wedding!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

        5.0

        Oklahoma City, OK
        • Serves Amston, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

        Awarded Best of Zola
I have always known I wanted lots of colorful flowers in my wedding. I LOVE flowers. However, I didn’t realize how expensive they were. I had a unique package created with flower moxie and was able to save thousands of dollars while getting the flowers I dreamt of! Putting together my flowers will always be one of the most memorable parts of my wedding as is was so fun. Flower moxie made it so easy to get what I needed and contact them with any questions or issues. They were also so kind and accommodating. If you love to DIY and you love flowers, you will love Flower Moxie!

        Something Borrowed Blooms

        4.8

        Lafayette, LA
        • Starts at $250
        • Serves Amston, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

So affordable, lots of options, and I didn’t have to dye/build bouquets myself. I’m thankful for them. A few boutonnières looked a little worse for wear, but we were happy nonetheless!

Ayla and the team at Harvest Moon Florals are truly incredible!! I was having trouble finding a floral designer that matched the vision I had for my wedding florals until a family member recommended Harvest Moon. My husband and I were getting married at a vineyard, and we were looking for wedding florals that were more informal and a bit more "undone" than some of your more traditional wedding florals (which are also beautiful, just not as much my style!). Ayla totally understood the meadow-inspired, wildflower look I was envisioning right off the bat, and she came up with an amazing proposal, including specific names of the flowers and greenery and inspiration photos to give me a better sense of her vision. She was totally open to adjusting based on my thoughts, likes, and dislikes, and was so easy to work with. She made the process a breeze, and once we had agreed on the proposal, she and the team had it all under control from there. They were also extremely accommodating to some (very) last-minute requests I made to add an additional centerpiece for an extra table at the reception and to add fresh florals to a flower box we built out in our welcome sign. We got SO many compliments on the floral design at the wedding, and it really brought everything together to bring our wedding vision to life. The outdoor ceremony florals were ethereal, delicate, and perfect, and the reception florals indoors helped bring some warmth and soft color to the industrial barn space at the vineyard, and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. I also absolutely love that they are committed to regenerative agriculture and responsible land stewardship, so everything is seasonally inspired and either grown on their farm or sourced locally whenever possible. Ayla and Harvest Moon Florals were truly amazing throughout the entire process and on the wedding day, and I can't recommend them enough!
