Meghan Marks Photography

5.0

Delanson, NY
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves New York

Creativity has played a role in my life ever since I was a little girl. I grew up in upstate NY loving the outdoors and being close to the mountains! Although I loved where I grew up, when I graduated high school I decided to move South to Georgia to pursue a degree. While studying Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I fell in love with photography. I received my B.F.A in photography and then moved back home to NY where I became busy photographing weddings.

Meghan shot our summer camp wedding in September of 2023 and did an amazing job! We asked Meghan to come early to our wedding to capture our guests enjoying the various camp activities and the pictures came out fantastic! Her attention to detail and photographic composition skills are great and her photos really tell the story of our special day. As a testament to the previous statement, we had a full moon and clear sky on our wedding night and Meghan had the idea to get a shot of us together under the moonlight which made for a fantastic picture! Meghan's communication, professionalism, and skills are top notch and we would highly recommend her for your special day!!

We worked with Jon for our civil wedding photos in Brooklyn Heights and couldn't be happier with the whole process. From the moment we got in touch with him for the first time until the handoff of all the photos, the experience was seamless. His extremely organised work methodology made everything smooth and easy. We spent two hours with him walking around Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, and the result was a great variety of photos. Jon's got a special eye for lighting, composition and editing. On top of everything, his personality while working made it possible for us to act natural in front of the camera. 100% recommend working with him. It will be fun and the final edits will be memorable.

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

5.0

Astoria, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

Hey there!! My name is Marilyn and I'm so glad you're here ♡ I am a couples + wedding photographer based in New York City, and happy to travel to wherever your day is at! I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

Awarded Best of Zola
Marilyn is simply amazing! We did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and absolutely recommend doing the same. She made us feel so incredibly comfortable and the photos of course came out fantastic. She and her second shooter did such an amazing job capturing the fun and loving atmosphere of the day. We know we’ll be looking back fondly on the memories they captured for us for the rest of our lives and we could not be more pleased and grateful for the stunning work! Thank you!

Bailey Q Photo

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,450

Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don't think I could ever possibly say enough positive things about Bailey or recommend her more strongly. Her work is gorgeous, and I couldn't find anybody whose work I liked nearly as much when I was searching for a photographer. Bailey made every part of the planning process easy, straightforward, and actually fun. She was ready to answer any questions I had--down to helping me pick out outfits for the engagement shoot! On the day of our wedding, Bailey made EVERYONE feel at ease and excited to take photos. Normally I think group photos can kind of drag on, but Bailey made it feel like part of the festivities. All night guests were coming up to tell me how cool and fun my photographer was, I loved that. It meant she was really getting to know the guests and taking time to take photos of everyone we cared about. During cocktail hour, Bailey took us to sneak away for couples' sunset photos, which are extremely beautiful. It was such a special part of the night to get that time to ourselves before rejoining our loved ones for the reception. When we got our photos back I really felt like it gave me a chance to relive parts of the best day of my life. It made me SO emotional to go through and see all of the photos Bailey had taken of us, our family, and our friends. All of the candids and cocktail hour photos really let me see the day from a different perspective, and it was so fun to see what other people were up to at our wedding! Overall, I honestly don't have enough wonderful things to say about Bailey. Bailey treats photography for the day with the same care, attention, and enthusiasm as her clients. I trusted her with the process the entire time, and I loved knowing that she was invested in not only getting the best possible photos of the day, but also getting photos that really reflected who we are as a couple. THANK you.

Christopher Duggan Photography

5.0

Bronx, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,950

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
Christopher and his team are incredible. Not only did they make us feel calm and confident on our wedding day, but Christopher was also excellent about routinely communicating with us the whole year leading up to the wedding. He is thoughtful, creative, and kind. The pictures are gorgeous and captured our wedding beyond anything we could have imagined. We are so thankful we chose Christopher as our photographer and videographer!

I'm a digital & film photographer living in NYC capturing weddings, couples, and life around me. I have a genuine love for creating images you'll look back on that'll always give you butterflies! I approach photography intentionally, and am emotionally driven behind the camera. I’m all about those in-between candids and documenting in the moment, as well as artful posing. I love making genuine connections with people, and the natural friendships that can come from working together! Approaching your wedding photography as an art form is just a small part of why I absolutely love what I do.

Awarded Best of Zola
I can't say enough, I truly loved every second of working with her! She is funny, professional, and a true artist. She ended up staying 2 hours extra at my wedding and thank god she did because those party pictures are unbelievable! The photos came out amazing and brought so much joy back to our family all over again. She worked great with my videographer even though she just met him that day. The entire wedding was electric and she really knew how to capture it !

Steven Rosen Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,200

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
My now husband and I reached out to Steven on short notice (just a few days) for our wedding pictures in Prospect Park. We reached out because his portfolio had dream-like qualities that set him apart from all other photographers that we reviewed. Steven was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was kind, friendly and a consummate professional. He gave extremely clear directions about poses and settings, so the pictures came out beautifully. I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

Justin McCallum Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED our engagement photo session and photos from Justin McCallum. The whole experience with Justin was amazing. My fiancé and I felt so at ease, and we wish he could photograph us all the time. We knew we were going to have a good time and the photos were going to be great but the whole shoot really exceeded our expectations. One of the things that was important to us was to have our dog be a part of our engagement shoot. Justin was so accommodating and had no problem incorporating him into the session.   I was particularly worried about how people were going to react with how I look in our photoshoot. I'm a proud plus size girl, but my whole life it has been rare for me to take a photo without SOME sort of comment about my appearance from others. There was a good two years where I just did not take photos of myself which I really regret. When I got the photos back from Justin I just felt so beautiful and confident, really how every bride should always feel. I did not care what comments were coming my way because of how proud I was of the shoot. I'm crying writing this which is silly but I want everyone to know how beautiful I felt in my engagement photos! We absolutely recommend Justin to everyone. If you are not someone who is used to the camera or uncomfortable in front of the camera, definitely book with Justin, he will make everything easy and you will feel beautiful!

Wow, where do I start with Kameron? She was an absolute gem at our wedding! Even with the weather throwing us curveballs, rolled with it and got some incredible shots that made the rain look like pure magic. My family is crazy, but Kameron managed to capture the most beautiful moments amidst the chaos. Her calm vibe kept everyone in check and the photos turned out stunning. Highly recommend her for her talent and cool-under-pressure attitude!
