I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by weddings and events. My family owns an event venue there still. I took a detour and played professional golf for a number of years before A. Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. I am in love with the process of learning, practicing and executing new and fun techniques on my clients’ cakes. More than that, creating a cake for someone’s special day gives me the most warm feeling. It’s truly why I do what I do.

Goodies by Max is a registered cottage home-based bakery in Desert Ridge, Phoenix AZ, specializes in custom decorated sugar cookies and cookie classes for private or company events! We love creating a custom set for each and every one of our customers for their special day.

I did my first wedding cake 36 years ago. I've seen many trends come and go and will do whatever I can to make the customer happy. I have my Arizona Cottage License and bake from my home kitchen. I love baking and creating amazing memories.

If you haven't already discovered, my name is Stacy Frick. (all of my friends affectionately call me "Frick") This whole cookie-thing started out of boredom. Wondering what I could do that excites my creative mind without being mundane and repetitive. I'm well aware that I am "late to the party" and should have started baking custom cookies about 4 years ago when they were really popular, but I feel like, who doesn't love cookies, right? I was born and raised in a small town in the Philippines. I lived in California for 14 years and before moving to Arizona, I met my husband and my children (our lovely dogs). I started baking as far back as a little girl, with a simple interest in creating tasty treats for my family and I. Then I moved on to baking from scratch and began to appreciate the joy in producing and assembling each piece of the puzzle. Baking from scratch allows you to select not only the highest quality ingredients but it also creates a deeper connection between the baker and the food. As often happens, interest turned into a hobby, hobby turned into an obsession.

I'm a home baker specializing in vegan baked goods since 2019. I make celebration cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other celebrations. I also offer treats including cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and my signature sourdough cinnamon rolls. My love for baking all started when I was around 8 years old. I would always ask my grandma to help her bake and idolized the work she did. I have always been a very artsy person, and once I found out that you can express your art onto an edible canvas I was sold!
