I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

Grace was just amazing. For a day that was overwhelming and very stressful, I cannot thank her enough for her calm and kindness. My now husband and I are usually not "photo people", as we tend to be more introverts than anything else, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Her professionalism and guidance during the shoot can be described as more than stellar. I will definitely recommend her to all of my friends who will be getting married soon. During all the chaos, I was extremely thankful to have chosen her as our photographer.

Khloe was absolutely amazing to work with! During my preview she took the time to go over the pros and cons of each look. She also took the time to go over a skin care routine for up until the wedding. Day of Khloe made all the adjustments that we came up with during the preview and I never felt more beautiful! Josh was amazing day of my whole bridal party loved him! The time he took to go over how each persons skin is and made them all even more beautiful! The only part of this process that I was not a fan of was getting the final invoice less then a week before the wedding it added a lot of unnecessary stress.

She coordinated so many things (some we may not even know about) which took a lot of pressure off of us as the couple! We loved how easy it was to do so many things in house (ceremony, reception, catering, DJ, etc.). The food was INCREDIBLE. I cannot tell you how many guests told us it was the best food they've had at a wedding reception! Hi there, I'm Melissa, but I go by Lissa. Welcome to my little corner of the internet- I'm so glad that you're here! I know that wedding planning can be a daunting process but I'm here to help navigate you through all of the craziness that comes with planning a wedding. I'm your planning BFF and hype-girl from the moment you get engaged to cheering you on as you bust a move on your wedding day! As a wedding planner and bridesmaid (x 10), I've seen pretty much every crazy scenario and I've got your back no matter what because you deserve the best experience possible! **Please inquire directly through my website**

Awarded Best of Zola
Lissa was our day-of coordinator for our wedding and we were blown away by her and her team! We started with a consultation call to get to know each other and was sent a google folder with so many helpful wedding planning tips and organizational tools. Our meetings were structured and we felt very comfortable asking her the many questions that we had. Lissa's strength is that she made us feel that "she's got us," and that all will be smooth on the wedding day. She communicated closely with all of our vendors well before the wedding date and even served as a middle man between vendors who needed things from each other. Though we utilized her in-person starting at 3pm, Lissa coordinated our ENTIRE day ahead of time so that it all ran well. During the wedding, she checked in on us and our parents several times to make sure all were happy while also cueing each event on the timeline. In addition to all of the task oriented things we were thrilled with, Lissa has a beautiful personality and we felt like she was another best friend at the wedding. Whether you need a full blown wedding planner or a day-of coordinator, we highly recommend her!

Like many in the industry, I fell in love with planning weddings when I started planning my own in 2017. At the time, I was a corporate lawyer at a big firm in DC and it just hit me: I was totally in the wrong field! Since then, I have dedicated all of my free time to arranging my own events, helping my friends plan their own, and dreaming of the day that I could provide the same service for others.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is truly not enough praise I can give to fully encapsulate Carmen. We started to work together right after I had booked my venue and we were the best team all throughout my wedding planning process. Even when I didn't have a true vision for my wedding in the beginning, Carmen knew just the right things to ask to see what I envisioned and she made all of my dreams come true (and more). During the planning process, Carmen is incredibly easy to communicate with. She sends regular check in emails and kept me in the loop with everything that was being done, needed to be done, and any vendor related updates in addition to zoom/phone calls. The software she uses is also incredibly user friendly and made all of the finer details so easy to visualize. On the day of our wedding, Carmen was somehow everywhere all at once and dealt with any hiccups with total grace. She conducted the set up and tear town with ease- it has truly been a pleasure to experience her work firsthand. Planning a wedding is hard work and choosing your planner is a major part of your big day. They're the person you'll spend the majority of your time with aside from your partner. I would not hesitate to recommend Carmen to anyone looking for an organized, thoughtful, and well-rounded planner.

Mervat was friendly and understanding from the very beginning. I opted for a more natural look since I rarely wear makeup. During our makeup trial, she was very receptive to when I wanted to change a shade/color here and there. She took all of my concerns into consideration so that I would feel and look incredible on my wedding day. On the big day, she and her team arrived promptly and were very efficient with my larger bridal party. I felt beautiful the entire day!

I found Annemarie on Instagram and was immediately drawn to her beautiful photos. She responded right away to my inquiry and was able to answer all my questions on an initial phone call. This was my first time using a professional photographer so I had some expectations but also didn't know what to fully expect. Annemarie set the bar here. Her photos are beautiful (hard to pick which ones to frame) but what stuck with me was how calm and on top of things she was the whole day. She made both my husband and I feel so comfortable (and he doesn't like having his photos taken) that I could not have imagined anyone else with us on our wedding day. If you are looking for a talented and trusted photographer who truly listens to you, I cannot recommend Annemarie enough.

DJ Casanova Productions

5.0

Silver Spring, MD
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,500

If you’ve had a good time at a wedding or event in the DC/Maryland/VA area, chances are it was DJ Casanova that got you moving. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

Awarded Best of Zola
Our Guests LOVED the music and Jamie was so easy to work with! If you want a DJ who is easy to work with, great at his craft, and cares about you and your needs, Jaime (DJ Casanova) is your man! My wife and I come from very different musical backgrounds, so making sure all of our family and friends had a good time and felt well-represented during the party was really important to us. From day one, Jaime made it feel like we were working with an old friend who just wanted the best for our wedding and he absolutely delivered! Everyone had so much fun and guest after guest commented on how much they enjoyed the music during the party. It’s also worth mentioning that Jaime hung with us after we had to reschedule our reception twice over two years (thanks, COVID) and worked with the rest of our vendors to make the long-awaited day as memorable as we could have ever hoped. Thanks, Jamie!
