Lindsey Paradiso Photography

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

Like most children in the late 90's and early 00's, I grew up with a camera in my hand. I went through polaroids, video cameras, disposable cameras, waterproof cameras, and film cameras; all the cameras! I was so fascinated by photography and the ability to preserve moments. I'm an ENFP, 7w6, and extroverted-introvert who is not only thrilled but humbled to be a witness and historian to the significant moments in your life we are able to share together!

Lindsey was fantastic to work with! She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. She is creative, talented, and her organization puts her at such a high level of professionalism. She followed through on all our wishes and captured our special day perfectly. Highly recommended!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are looking for a wedding photographer or considering Lynnsey - I just came here to say that she not only captured the most stunning and personal images from our wedding day (I can't believe they are ours and of us) but she brought the most calming yet in control demeanor to our day. She really is a special photographer - these pictures have the eye of someone who has known us our whole lives - not just the ones of us, but of our guests too- she captured the most beautiful yet fleeting moments of togetherness that bring me back to this day whenever I look at them. I'm so grateful to have that, what a special thing and that is what Lynnsey brings - she's exceptionally talented and I can't recommend her more highly. Worth also noting that in the months leading up to the wedding I was able to lean on Lynnsey for support with planning and logistics and she is incredibly professional and experienced and made the whole process very easy and I was incredibly grateful to have her as such an important part of this experience. I, personally, extended a bit more of my budget than I initially planned so that we could book Lynnsey and if you are in that same place, I'll just say that was incredibly worth it and I would make that choice again or pay more if that what was necessary because this work really is timeless and Lynnsey's expertise is worth it.

Cathedral

Seattle, WA
  • Venue
  • Up to 80 guests
  • Select services

  • Starts at $2,200

We believe that people see the problems our world faces and have the desire to help, but often don’t know where to start. So we started Cathedral with one goal in mind — to build something that’s the sole purpose of existing was to make this world of ours a more just and beautiful place. Building things that matter takes time. Cathedrals took generations to build — those who began the work didn’t see its completion. The architect who drew up the plans would never see their spires rise. The mason laying the bricks would never stand under their cover.

Awarded Best of Zola
Cathedral was the perfect spot for our reception, and we’re so happy with both the party and the process of planning! Thanks to Nate, Liz, and the day of event staff for providing timely, friendly assistance throughout the planning process and helping us throw a party for our mostly out of town guests that was one to remember! Guests were commenting on the space all night, it’s such a fun venue - a beautiful bar filled with all your closest friends and family, who could ask for anything better?? Thanks again, Cathedral team! Maria & Campbell

Victoria was absolutely amazing on our wedding day! We had originally hired another Day-of Coordinator who unfortunately had a family emergency a week before our wedding and was no longer able to work with us. We reached out to VEVENTS, and Victoria responded so quickly and sent over her calendar so we could find a time to meet as soon as possible. Even with just a week's notice and a week's worth of prep, Victoria went above and beyond what we expected. She came to our rehearsal on Friday to help figure out the timing of our ceremony and then arrived right on time at the venue on Saturday to help the Groom with all of the last minute details. Victoria seriously thought of all the details, just as we would, and took care of them so that we (and our families) could enjoy the day. She worked well with our vendors and families, and we heard raving reviews from them as well. The Mother of the Bride even said if anyone else in the family has a wedding in the Seattle-Tacoma area that she would love to work with Victoria again. We whole heartedly recommend VEVENTS for your wedding day!

My husband and I had an incredible experience with Sam from Moonflower Designs! Sam brought our vision together perfectly and my bridal bouquet literally took my breath away. It was more beautiful than I had even imagined, and the textures and creative touches brought me so much joy. My bridesmaids’ florals and the décor were similarly incredible. I chose to save my bouquet and dry it, and it remains a gorgeous reminder of our special day. While taking it apart, I was surprised to find various wires holding all of the plants in their perfect position. Sam really went above and beyond in my opinion and I absolutely loved the results!

Hey I'm Chelsea! I'm a wedding photographer based out of Seattle, Washington. I'm a super happy 32-year old who is head over heels in love with her job. Photography lets me combine all of my INFJ superpowers into one package, & it fills me with so much joy to share that with my clients. Beyond photography, I'm a total hippy at heart; I love all things nature, the moon, traveling, wildflowers, old creaky houses, thrift shopping, plants, hiking & horror movies.

I cannot say enough good things about Chelsea! I loved working with her and her assistant on the wedding day and leading up to the wedding. As a wedding planner, she made my job easier from start to finish! She was extremely kind and responsive in the months before the wedding. Chelsea was incredibly professional, genuine, and fun to work with on the wedding day not only with me and other vendors but with her couple and their guests. Her ability to make her couples feel at ease is reflected in her gorgeous photos. I highly recommend Chelsea Terry for couples looking for a great addition to your vendor team and to capture one of the best days of your life!

We’re Kyle & Chelsea, a videography team based in Seattle, WA. We’re artists whose interest in stories and shared love for exploring brought us here. We specialize in human-centered storytelling, which means that we understand the importance of getting to know you and your partner on a personal level.

Radagast Creative was so easy to work with and they delivered the most epic wedding video we could’ve imagined. I like to think of our wedding video as something along the lines of a cinematic masterpiece. Every detail was captured so effortlessly I didn’t even notice them filming throughout the wedding day (which is saying a lot coming from a girlie who hates being recorded and is very awkward in front of a camera). When my husband and I watched our video for the first time, we cried and laughed so hard. It was perfect. Beyond what we had imagined. Watching our wedding day from Radagast Creative’s point of view unlocked a new set of emotions we didn’t even know were there. I’ve lost count how many times we’ve rewatched it at this point, it’s just so dang good! It is something we will cherish forever and can’t wait to show our kids one day when we have a family of our own.

Hi, I’m Marla, and I’ve had a camera in my hands since I could hold one. Travel is what first sparked my love of photography– I felt the need to document every gorgeous landscape in my sights across Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and here in the States. Once I started taking portraits, though, everything shifted, and I became obsessed with documenting love. I value photos as memories, and they’re extremely precious to me. To me, the ability to freeze a moment in time so you’ll always be able to return to that beauty and joy is nothing short of magic.

She is precious and perfect and excellent at what she does. My wife and I happened upon Marla’s work when she first moved to Seattle in our hunt for queer friendly photographers. From the first moment we spoke we knew we’d be in good hands. Working with Marla felt like hanging out with a friend. We love her and you will love her too. We didn’t absorb that she specialized in elopement photography when we found her, but clearly she’s versatile because our photos are gorgeous! As people who aren’t used to being photographed professionally, Marla gave great direction when we needed it and caught a million beautiful candid moments. She forgot her coat in her fiancés car and did not complain or act chilly even though her nose and cheeks were turning red (don’t worry, we shared our jackets with her haha). Our guests also raved about her!!! She’s lovely and talented; she will make you feel comfortable and encouraged and beautiful.

We held our wedding at WithinSodo in September 2020. Prior to the pandemic, we had toured the place and fell in love. It was a perfect mix of industrial and romance, and I loved how we could choose what rooms we wanted to rent. The price was also excellent especially compared to other seattle venues. When the pandemic hit, Kate was so accommodating and kept up to date w the state’s guidelines. She worked with us to figure out a plan that we’d be happy with. We ended up just having a small ceremony and received a partial refund back. Even though the ceremony was only a couple hours long, it was perfect. We are so excited to come back and hold a reception once things are safe. Contract was clear, the billing system was great, and Kate was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

His work is truly special and deserves much more notice, his film work is so nostalgic and beautiful! He was great with making sure we hiked at a good time and made it to the best spot for photos. He was patient with taking photos of us in both hiking outfits as well as our wedding attire that we brought with us, we are so excited to work again with him in the future for anything else life throws at us!

A wedding and engagement photographer but so much more than just that. I’m a friend, daughter, sister, momma to my beautiful baby girl Scarlette Rose, wife to one incredible hunk of a man, fur mom to one ADORABLE little Chihuahua, Pug, Great Pyrenees, and two ducks named Harold and Mushu (I WOULD DIE FOR THEM). I’m a hiker, lover of giddy laughs because your body can’t contain all the joy you’re experiencing, lover of love, meditation lover, crystal lover, people lover, tattoo lover, and most importantly…lover of personal growth and learning from this big classroom we call life! Without all these labels?

I’ve worked with Ally numerous times. She is so supportive & such a good hype woman. Not only does she go above and beyond to make her client experience one to remember, but she really cares about the experience as a whole. Whether she’s photographing me or I’m assisting her at a wedding-I absolutely adore her bright spirit and attention to detail. Can’t wait to work with her more in the future!

My heart beats for photographing a story worth telling, and finding the funny, quirky, moving little moments throughout that narrative. I always have a smile on my face and love, absolutely love to make people laugh. I can recite funny quotes and sing to you the cheesiest of songs. As cheesy as it may sound, I want to be your friend. I want to laugh throughout the whole day with you, making every moment so memorable and being right by your side to capture it. I want to keep in touch with you after, to see where life takes you!

Andrea was really wonderful to work with. We met her through a friend of ours that had their photos done and had really wonderful things to say about her. She did our engagement photos and wedding. We were both really nervous about getting in front of the camera, but Andrea had us laughing the whole time and we even brought our dogs with us. We couldn't be happier with all the photos we got back, she truly captured every moment and her view on everything was really beautiful. I would highly recommend working with Andrea.

I'm east coast born & raised, but a loyal Seattle convert since 2014. I love trash reality tv. I teach aerial yoga once a week. I'm usually craving fries. I'll never turn down a margarita (except while I'm on the clock at your wedding!). I lead student trips abroad with National Geographic. I think there's no better way to spend a summer day than in the sun and on a paddle board. And I think that your wedding should be exactly how you and your partner want it to be. Email me at katejmillerphotography@gmail.com and I’ll tell you hilarious stories and answer all of your questions.

My fiancé and I worked with Kate for our engagement pictures and couldn’t be happier. We were both hesitant to do engagement pictures but Kate made it so easy. Communication and setting up a time and location were a breeze. She suggested we pick locations that were meaningful to us. We went with two of our favorite spots in our neighborhood (Ballard locks and the Farmers’s Market) with the hopes of capturing some of the gorgeous fall colors and all the water in the area. Kate heard us and delivered! Most importantly, she took two awkward subjects, who aren’t crazy about being the focus of attention, and made us look good! She gave just the right amount of direction so we weren’t flailing which allowed us to relax. The pictures really captured “us” as well as all the colors and background we had talked about. Exactly what we wanted! Thank you, Kate. Next up, family pictures with our fur baby. :)

Everyone had such a great time because he went around to include every table's song requests. After working eight years in New York City within the fashion industry, I decided to develop one of my childhood passions, art. Since I was a child, I viewed the world through an artist’s eye with an especially adoring love for floral design. Colors and textures - even the way they move. All of this comes together to tell my clients' unique story through floral design. To me, nothing is more fulfilling than starting with a blank canvas, bringing together just the right pieces, and letting the visual narrative flow on its own.

California native, PNW resident, coffee drinker, dog scritcher, friend, forward-thinker, designer. I hate having my photo taken (go figure), my dog Boone makes me laugh every day, and I thrive off of honest, intentional conversations. I’ve worked as a photographer for over 8 years and I know that half the job is connecting with people and offering them an experience, not just a gallery. I believe you have to feel comfortable with the person behind the camera before you can let go and fully be yourself in front of it.

My husband and I found Becky G on yelp and after reviewing her website and photographs, we reached out to her and we are so happy we did! Becky is not only an incredible photographer but also very professional and communicates well with her clients. She had us fill out a questionnaire to ensure she captured all of the moments we were most excited about. On the day of the wedding, her and her assistant took photos of the wedding parties, the families, guest, dancing and of course myself and my husband. After the wedding, she sent us sneak peaks and we received all the photos in a timely manner. We were so happy with how they turned out. We will definitely be using Becky’s services again in the future!

Weddings hold a special place in our hearts, and we are honored to be part of your journey. With its stunning stained glass windows, elegant decor, and serene ambience, MUCC’s Sanctuary offers a truly magical setting for exchanging vows. Whether you dream of an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, our versatile space can accommodate your vision. Our dedicated team understands the importance of personalizing your wedding day. From helping you choose the perfect arrangement of flowers to providing guidance on music selection, we are committed to making your experience unforgettable. Pastor Marci is available to officiate your ceremony, ensuring that every aspect reflects your unique love story.

We were married at MUCC in August of last year and it was perfect! The church space itself is lovely and looks wonderful in our photos. The sanctuary is especially beautiful with lovely stained glass windows. They also had plenty of space in another area of the church so that we could host our reception there as well. This was really helpful since we had many out of town guests who are unfamiliar with driving in the Seattle area. Beyond that, pastor Marci was really wonderful and met with us before the ceremony to talk about what we wanted. We felt really fortunate to find her, but I believe you can also have your own officiant which is not something many churches allow you to do. We also used their pianist for the ceremony music and he did a fantastic job. Overall everything was very easy and convenient, allowing us to just focus on the day. They are also a wonderful church that contributes to the community, definitely appreciate these folks!

First off, we HIGHLY recommend Carolyn and Folk Art Flowers for anyone looking for a florist!! Carolyn is easy to work with and has such an amazing eye for design. You will not regret choosing her as your florist!! Like many people in 2020, our wedding was derailed and the entire year became something of a planning fiasco. We were calling vendors left and right trying to properly postpone but also still trying to have the wedding of our dreams. Carolyn was the absolute dream floral vendor for us!! She was so supportive and flexible of helping us find our new dates but also staying in sync with us on potential design changes due to new wedding dates spewing up left and right. We moved our wedding date three times which meant we had a wedding in three different seasons and different florals. However, Carolyn kept the original floral vision alive with her knowledge of the kind of florals that grow for the different seasons. It was amazing to see and the end result was SPECTACULAR!! She was the perfect planning partner to have alongside us and we cannot emphasize enough how helpful and kind she was. We proudly and unequivocally recommend Carolyn and Folk Art Flowers to everyone and anyone!! Book her today!!

I’m Becky, pastry chef and owner of Flour Lane Bake Shop. My passion is creating incredible, custom desserts for special moments in your life. I specialize in making cakes, tarts, cupcakes, and other sweet treats for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, or just a really great Saturday night.

My daughter's wedding took place at Heyday Farm on Bainbridge Island in July and Becky baked a dream, 3-tier wedding cake for 80 people. Not only was the cake absolutely delicious, but it was as special as the day and as beautiful as the venue - with fresh flowers thoughtfully placed on and around the cake. Becky is lovely to work with. There were so many moving parts to this wedding and it was such a relief for us to trust her expertise and professionalism that day. We were so grateful and happy!

Lindsey made our day absolutely perfect. We did a very small gathering, but she made sure that each detail of the event was highlighted. We had a few different locations that we had to go, and Lindsey had already scouted the areas and knew the exact areas that would accentuate us and our surroundings. I believe that everyone is beautiful. Somewhere deep within you, there is a fire of light and joy. Not everyone’s light shines in the same way or with the same strength or even all the time. Stuff changes. People are different, but deep down, everyone is connected to the little bit of themselves that is truly theirs. I’m also all about being adventurous. That could mean we’re going to go climb a mountain or it might mean we’re going to try the really spicy chai tea. By experiencing life in the process of making photos, you’re going to be even more connected to the images because they will have stories that go along with them.

What can I say about working with Joe? He is an absolute delight to work with. He's charming and charismatic and knows how to get the absolute best out of his subjects and photos. We hired Joe as the photographer for our wedding and man did he deliver. Approximately a month after our wedding, he sent us all 1,041 photos from the day in an adorable little box containing a USB with all the photos, as well as some hand-selected prints from him, plus a little bonus gift from him that I won't ruin for any future clients. My wife and I spent the evening going through every single one of them. Every single one was absolutely stunning and amazing in its own way. Going through them really made us relive the day, along with every emotion that came with it. Not to mention that he photographed our wedding on a very rainy day. He never complained, never even mentioned the weather, and his willingness to put up with whatever the day threw at him, I believe, speaks volumes to his character and his commitment to his craft. Joe is an astounding photographer and a wonderful person to work with. I cannot recommend him enough for whatever you may need him for.

We went to Lady Grey on recommendation from our wedding coordinator and they were wonderful. We worked directly with Alia, the head decorator. She understood our vision and was responsive and super easy to work with. We chose two flavors (pistachio and carrot cake) and they were mind-blowing. Our cake was gorgeous and as delicious as it was beautiful. Would definitely recommend Lady Grey for any special cake occasion.

I am a Seattle wedding photographer and would be considered a "natural light photographer" - which basically means I want your photos to look as natural and real as possible! I have a degree in journalism which gives my photos an in the moment storytelling feel. Family portraits and those perfectly posed photos are some of the most important photos of the day, and we definitely do not forget to capture those as well as those gorgeous wide epic bride and groom portraits!

WOW!!! My husband and I were nervous about taking photos since we are not used to posing and be in front of the camera but Sydney made us feel soooo comfortable!! The photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined and I’m forever in awe of them.

I've been photographing professionally since 2004 and while it's always so awkward to write about yourself, here goes: In that time, I've been honored in my field as Seattle Bride Magazine's Best Photographer multiple years and invited to the exclusive list of WBWP as one of the World's Best Wedding Photographers, planners and clients tell me I'm known for flattering posing, natural results, indoor lighting in tricky situations, and a light touch that allows beautiful moments to flourish ♥︎

Hiring Kim (specifically Kimberly Person, regardless of company name) was the best decision I made for my wedding. The short version: + Photography: gorgeous photos in both indoor and outdoor settings, in tricky lighting, for groups of people with widely varying complexions and dress colors, staging props, and including pets without unnatural filters/corrections + Planning: Years of experience lending to a helpful planning checklist, network of talented wedding vendors, willingness to jump in where needed to ensure wedding planning and wedding itself go well + Extras: Prioritizes bride/groom’s comfort and experience over everything else, makes taking pictures feel fun, gets where she needs to be for every photo opportunity The longer version is that I can’t imagine having had my wedding without Kim. I delayed my wedding a year because of Covid, and Kim was only supportive throughout. She remained flexible with date changes, and always seemed to care more about how I was feeling than how changes to my plans were changing her plans as well. My wedding was at the Asian Art Museum in Seattle in October. I got ready at my house with my bridesmaids in the morning, did my first look outside my house (the dog got to join in too!) in the early afternoon, took photos with my husband and our bridal party in Volunteer Park on a luckily clear afternoon, took photos with our families in a room with floor to ceiling windows inside the Asian Art Museum a little before sunset, followed by the ceremony in the same glass-walled room after sunset, and danced the night away in the brightly-lit main hall. The photos Kim took in all those different environments are equally stunning, showcasing a very wide range of skin colors, varied shades of blue and green jewel tones in dresses, and either the soft white of the museum or the bright greens, reds, and yellows of the park in fall for the background. Despite the changing light between our family photos and ceremony in a glass-walled room, Kim made us look and feel. Kim’s cues were easy to lean in to and my wedding photos look and feel natural. Kim was also my unofficial wedding planner. Whenever I asked her for a recommendation, she first checked to see if the people she was recommending were available on my wedding day. Kim built in all the right buffers in our schedule for the day and walked the officiant through how to correctly fill out and sign the paperwork after the ceremony. She expertly navigated family drama and possible conflict by asking us about it weeks before the wedding. She made sure she had everyone’s preferred names and pronouns, and coordinated with all our other vendors to ensure everything was staged and photo ready on time. What I will never forget and will forever be thankful for is how Kim prioritized my comfort over two years of wedding planning and the million moments of my wedding day. She shut down strangers in the park who were taking photos of me and making me uncomfortable, reminded me to point my toes before the first dance, and drove my husband and me to the wedding so we weren’t dependent on anyone else’s schedule. Kim is the reason why I can look back on the beautiful memories of my wedding day, and all the moments my guests enjoyed that I wasn’t present for. I suspect she knew my husband and I would be pulled in many directions that day, but she caught every moment we were on our own and every moment we weren’t present for, taking in everything and everyone around us.

We absolutely LOVED our experience with Waylon and Bamboo Beats! First and foremost- Waylon was an amazing DJ, our friends and family were commenting on his talent throughout the night. He was responsive to requests, read the room really well, and kept a variety of nonstop hits coming for our 5 hour dance party! He also seemed like he was enjoying himself, which was super fun for us to see throughout the night. He captured some great videos and pictures throughout the evening too, and since we were busy dancing, it was SO fun to be able to look back and re-live these moments later! We also loved our experience with Jojo and Bamboo Beats leading up to the wedding. We had an initial Zoom call, and then after booking there was clear and concise ent communication. We filled out a preliminary form and then they had a great app where we could upload songs, notes, playlists from Spotify, and about a month before the wedding we had another call with Jojo and Waylon (our DJ). We felt very seen and cared for throughout the planning process and then our experience the day of was 12 out of 10. Thank you, Waylon, Jojo and the Bamboo Beats team- we HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding or event. -Maria & Campbell (married 7/8/23 at Cathedral)

Hi. My name is Eva, great to meet you! Thinking of trusting me with planning your event? Here is a little about me. I am a Vashon Island native, former Chicago dweller and currently live with my husband and two wild boys in West Seattle. I have 10 years of experience of planning + managing gatherings for as little as 20 and as many as 500. From intimate benefactor dinners to elegant fundraisers to festive and modern weddings, I have been involved in just about every aspect of an event that you can think of.

We are at almost at a loss for words as we write this review for Gather Cheer. Hiring Eva is what took our wedding to the next level. She was always available for questions, concerns, and follow-up. She handled a number of administrative items like organizing transportation, walkthroughs, and other details with our vendors. She also offered irreplaceable suggestions to make the day smoother or to make us and our guests more comfortable. There was so much behind-the-scenes work she did for us, that we're sure we're not aware of most of it. Not only is Eva organized, she is also so kind and relatable which was what we needed through this process. We walked into (and out of!) our wedding day absolutely blown away, and really that is because of Eva. We cannot thank her enough and would recommend her for any planning needs.

We also strive to create minimal waste with our work, to recycle, and to compost.

Sara Jane is a delight to work with. The way she thinks about botanicals and florals is truly inspiring. She pairs unusual things, her eye is unfailing, she thinks about the healing, restorative and beauty of plants and brings all of this to her design work. The flowers she designed for my wedding were stunning. Beyond that she is a joy to talk to and easy to place your complete trust in.

Candance was extremely professional throughout the entire process of hiring her for our day. I was extremely stressed out and she offered help with the location and was extremely knowledgeable when it came to when we should plan around. We always knew we wanted a small intimate moment just for us, and she made it a moment that was uninterrupted, but that we could share with those who were not there. She helped with location, and timing, and knew everything to do with when the weather-wise would work best for what we wanted. She listened to us and was extremely friendly. The session was fun, and she guided us through everything in a way that didn't make us feel like we were in a photo shoot but a fun moment of our lives that we will cherish forever. The memories we have on film will last forever and cannot thank her enough for capturing these moments for us. I’m Emily, and I’m a photographer who loves the outdoors, bright colors, and creating photos that capture your authentic self. My style is colorful and candid, almost photojournalistic at times. I’ll capture the standard portraits for your extended family to put on their fridge, of course, but I also try to create photos that show what it really felt like to be there – the bright smiles, the tears, the dancing.

Emily was phenomenal to work with - she is friendly, thoughtful, and talented! She took time to chat with us in advance of the day to make sure that her approach to photography was exactly what we were looking for and to ensure she captured some of the key shots we really wanted. Emily's work reflects the authenticity of the beauty of our wedding without a bunch of overediting I've seen from other photographers. I would highly recommend her for capturing a family and joy focused album, especially if you have an outdoor component to your wedding!

The Ruins

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • Venue
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor

The Ruins is a whimsical venue hidden in plain sight, in the heart of Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. For several decades, the Ruins was known as Seattle’s best kept secret, hosting private dinners and wild parties for its members. The Ruins boasts a maximalist aesthetic and is full of surprises big and small, including an antique life-size animatronic elephant built in 1931 for the Paris World Exhibition. The Ruins has a unique ability to take guests to another time and place, making them forget what lies on the outside. This makes it the perfect backdrop for imaginative parties where no idea is too crazy.

The Ruins is like someone took all the cool bits of Seattle, threw in a dash of vintage Europe, and turned it into a wedding venue. From the get-go, the place just oozes personality. You've got walls with hand-painted murals that could have been lifted from a storybook – I’m talking vibrant colors, whimsical scenes, the works. And antlers. And trees indoors. Each room in The Ruins has its own thing going on. One feels like a swanky 1920s lounge, another like a secret garden. We had space to spare, so people could either kick back in a cozy corner or hit the dance floor without stepping on toes. The décor is this wild combo of eclectic and classic – it's like your great aunt’s house if she had more money than cigarettes and if she collected stuff from around the globe and had a killer eye for design. The library is amazing – shelves lined with books, a fireplace that makes you want to curl up with a novel, and this epic swooning couch. So, I might’ve taken inspiration from George Costanza – yep, I did a topless photo shoot on that couch. It was all in good fun, and the photos are a riot – a keepsake that breaks the mold of typical wedding seriousness, just like The Ruins itself. The food was great (but they let you bring in your own desserts so do so if you wanna save some money). The only, minor issue, is the bridal suite's location. It’s right by the kitchen, so it’s kinda like Grand Central at rush hour with the staff buzzing through. Note to brides: Swap it out for the library. Trust me, it’s much less busy (if darker) and you won’t have the kitchen hustle messing with your pre-walk-down-the-aisle zen. Honestly, The Ruins is the kind of place that’s perfect if you want a wedding that's a bit left of center but still super heartfelt. It’s quirky without trying too hard and intimate without being cramped. The whole day felt like us – not stuffy, just a big, fun, love-filled party. The Ruins has many nooks crammed with curiosities and corners begging for a photo op, it’s a place that feels alive. The mix of odd and elegant, the hand-painted walls that seem to whisper tales, the stuff like the enormous elephant (sadly, only in the back back room so only good for wedding photos not the guests) and the patterned horse and much more all adds up to a vibe that’s as unique as your weird cousin, the cool one, not the other one. The Ruins is like that one weird friend who's always got a story to tell and makes everything more fun. Having our wedding there was like a non-stop highlight reel – even with the bridal suite hiccup. It's a place for good vibes, great times, and amazing photos to start your weirdly ever after.

Even my very hard to please mother said "That is a real photographer", which is really the highest compliment she has given anyone. Thank you for capturing our special day Sam!

Candid, vivacious photography for life's best moments. Destination wedding and intimate elopement photographer based in Seattle and serving the Hawaiian Islands (Hawaii/Big Island, Maui, Oahu, and Kauai), the West Coast, and abroad.

Like the procrastinator I am, I totally dropped the ball and did not even start to find a wedding photographer until way too late. Luckily, Chelsea fell from the heavens and not only had our wedding date available but was also prepared to do an initial meeting with us the same day we reached out (on New Years Eve no less). What else can I say about Chelsea other than that she is FANTASTIC. We were having a small, COVID friendly wedding that I was planning myself and she offered us so many fun ideas that brought our wedding to the next level. Have you ever been to a wedding where every single guest commented on how great the photographer was? It was like she was part of the family, and honestly, I didn’t even care what the photos looked like because she was just incredible to have around. The photos of course though, were gorgeous. Chelsea is so talented, and she completely captured the light, beachy aesthetic that we were going for. If I ever need a photographer in the future, she will be my first call – and she should be yours too!!

Anna Peters Photography

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • Photographer
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $7,500

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Anna spent nearly two decades training as a classical ballerina and photographing dance, often sneaking cameras backstage to shoot from the wings while still in costume. She was hooked on wedding photography instantly - the mosaic of emotion and energy that cascades across a wedding day felt like a natural extension of the magic she chased on stage as a dancer. Anna lives and works out of Seattle, though she’s lucky enough to follow her clients up and down the West Coast and occasionally across the globe.

I cannot give enough positive praise for Anna and her beautiful work. Her talent is incredible and is only surpassed by her true compassion for people. Both create a perfect scenario for stunning wedding photography, especially her film photography. She took the time to understand the vision for our wedding and the relationships most important to us so we could have photos that match our priorities. Anna also has a wonderful balance of professionalism and chillness. We were never stressed from photo to photo. She let us know what to expect and also found opportunities for magically unplanned moments. Her photos on our walls are memories we'll cherish for a lifetime.

Yep, I’m the photographer who is not afraid to put on hiking boots to scout out the spot up in the mountains that isn’t already documented on Instagram. I’m the one who makes you cry in the middle of Costco when I send your photo gallery. I’m the one you text random wedding questions to because you KNOW I actually want to (and will) answer.

OH MY GOODNESS Rachel sent my husband and I a sneak peek of our wedding photos the day after our wedding and they are absolutely stunning!! Thank you so much Rachel and to your sweet hubby Igor for the most heartfelt and special day! It was nothing like I expected and I was so stressed leading up to it but once Rachel and Igor took the lead everything felt light and fun, and I knew we were capturing memories we’d cherish for the rest of our lives. It truly was a dream come true. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping capture our very special day.

Roddy Chung Photography

I believe every wedding has its striking moment. The moment when you walk down the aisle seeing your husband-to-be on the other side gently waiting, and teardrops involuntarily slip from your eyes. The moment when you throw away your self-consciousness to dance with the love of your life no matter how funny you look. And of course, the moment when you witness over 50 years of marriage still standing strong, with many more years to come. That is the proof of true love. That’s why I decided to pursue wedding photography - I want to preserve those striking moments for you.

Choosing a wedding photographer felt like a daunting task until we stumbled upon Roddy’s stunning portfolio and set up a time to chat. My wife and I immediately knew he was the photographer for us and are so glad we were able to not only work with him, but get to know the fantastic person he is throughout the process. He captured the major moments of a wedding day, but also the intimidate, candid moments in between, including many epic dance shots. I can’t recommend him and his artistry highly enough!

WE’RE AV + ROMAN …a husband-and-wife team based in Seattle. We’re two city slickers who love adventuring into the mountains just as much. We also are two photography nerds who really enjoy documenting celebrations, especially if you’re celebrating love. Whether that be that big, fat Greek-Italian-Indian-Vietnamese, etc... wedding or an intimate dinner with your closest friends, we can help you put those moments into photographic form. Thank you for stopping by and feel free to shoot us a message.

We booked Goodsell Photos for our backyard covid-restriction-abiding ceremony + cocktail hour in Sep. 2020 and at every step, AV was amazing and on it. I appreciated that she spent time getting to know our story, asked about all the details she needed to know for the big day, provided a schedule, etc. Her work is exceptional and she is a Pro at getting family members to focus up for photos, corralling people, etc. Plus, she was a delight to work with, to boot! We love the photos from the day, and can't recommend her enough.
