Ruby was a Pastry Chef in the New Orleans restaurant scene for 6 years before starting her own business. I am a self-taught macaron baker since fall 2018. When I was introduced to macarons and saw how versatile, pretty and flavorful macarons could be, I decided to perfect the technique so I could provide them at the weddings, showers and birthdays for all my friends. As my experience grew I started receiving requests from people all over Pittsburgh to add a unique twist to their sweetest moments, so much so that in September of 2021, I quit my corporate job to bake full-time! I absolutely love being able to enhance a wedding, baby shower or bridesmaid proposal with some rare, scrumptious treats that everyone is delighted to see and taste.

Ever since I was 7 years old, I told everyone that when I grew up I was going to be a chef. I grew up with that idea and never considered a back up plan. I pursued that dream and attended culinary school. Funnily enough, I never had much interest in baking. I wanted to be the chef and owner of a restaurant one day. After graduating and working in restaurants, I was crushed to see that a handful of places weren't sending out fresh, non frozen foods. So, I would go home and start baking, just for fun. Clay’s Bakery opened its doors on October 1, 1990 by Bill and Denise Bones, alongside Denise’s mother Barbara Clark, who retired to Florida in 1997. To this day, the bakery is still owned and operated by the Bones family. The bakery was named in honor of Denise’s father Clayton Earl Clark, III who passed away the year before opening the shop. He was an Sergeant for the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, many of his brothers in blue continue to show their support for Denise and her family by visiting the bakery often.

Hi! I'm Maggie, the do it all person behind Little Bit Sweets. After 2020 sent my life in a swirl I decided to follow my heart and open a petite custom bakery. So here I am, living out my dream in my cute little cake shop. Building the bakery was such a long journey but completely worth it. I am blessed to be surrounded by a community of believers who support and believed in me and my vision. I love baking but more importantly I love connecting with people thru the process of making them a cake. Kristen's Kreations began back in 2018 here in Downingtown, PA. I graduated from culinary school with an Associates degree in Pastry Arts in 2015. I love the artistic creativity that this profession allows me to have through my baked desserts. When I'm not busy whipping something up in the kitchen, I love to spend time with my two dogs & fiancé. We love to go on lots of hiking trips around the state.
