So I got married once.....and this is the embarrassing part....WE DID'T GET A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER. Worst decision ever, don't be like me. Even if we don't work together, get a wedding filmmaker, it's so worth it! Years down the road I found a common connection between my firefighting job to making films. Being able to help others. This started with music festival films, mostly EDM. Don't judge me. This led to wedding films and it's where I got completely inspired. I've been editing in my bedroom since I was a kid (low tech back then!). I love telling stories and who doesn't adore a real love story? Every couple is different so I strive to bring their uniqueness to the shoot and the edit.

Hi! I'm Soohyun, I began working with my creative partner Saehee shorty after our wedding in 2009. We remember the feeling of overwhelming joy on our wedding day to be surrounded by the people we love while celebrating our commitment. We strive to capture the uniqueness of your story with still and moving images. I has been a fine arts photographer for more than 19 years, and my wife Saehee began as a video editor in television and radio but found her passion behind the lens. Together with Saehee we came to Chicago in 2012, where I received my MFA in Photography from the University of Illinois Chicago.

When I think about the importance of wedding films, I often tell my clients that their wedding film is not necessarily for them. What I mean by that, is that our goal is to create a memory that generations can look back on and say.., “look at Grandma with her girlfriends!!” Or “I didn’t know papa was such a great dancer”. It’s this belief that drives my team and I to go above and beyond to make sure we have the most captured of a wedding day so that the final product remains a cherished memory that everyone can look back on and smile. By adding photography to our team, we are able to capitalize on video shots give it the best of both.

It all began in 2013! One minute I'm watching the OG Say Yes to the dress at 6:00pm then 4 weddings at 7:00pm and BOOM next day I'm out in the real world filming them! 8 years later I can proudly say that I'm a creative entrepreneur with a video flare! I'm embracing my talents to the fullest and always learning and growing in my craft. With filming nearly 300 weddings undermy belt and surviving 2020 I have seen and experienced it all! I'm here to help you through the planning process, intimate elopement, or big bash. I'll be there with my emergency kit in tow with bobby pins and hand sanitizer at moments' notice!

We started this venture a few years ago, with the desire for a creative outlet from our full-time jobs. We watched wedding video, after wedding video, after wedding video, until we realized the wedding film industry deserved more creativity and uniqueness than a bunch of wedding make-up shots and prom-pose pictures. After picking up a photography camera back in 2010, I always was intrigued by video. I continued with photography until August 2016, when I switched my camera to video mode and started making videos. Eventually a friend I did wedding photography for trusted me to start shooting video for his company, and the rest is history. I’ve since stopped taking photos and become fully immersed in creating wedding films ever since, leading to 5+ years filming weddings and 2 years photographing weddings prior. I’m committed every day to perfecting my craft, trying new techniques, and as any filmmaker knows, purchasing excessive amounts of new camera gear.
