How We Met - Justin

A passport?

I had just started to get comfortable in my new management position as the hiring manager. I had to complete the tax forms and other legal stuff I barely understood. Things were going smooth until Melissa and her big hair had to come to my table and pops out a passport. My response is "what's dis?" "I don't know what to do with this!" In my mind she was fired all ready, but instead I thought better of the situation and it worked in my favor eventually. She was great to work with and very reliable, but in a flash she was gone. Then out the blue, months later she returns. You can't leave us like that and not say anything. Apparently every manager knew of her break except for me. Anyways, I ask her about it and it blossoms into numerous interesting conversations on the salesfloor and her volunteering at work functions as if she really has the time. Eventually she got my number, but my oblivious self thought she would only use it to call out of work. I was proven wrong one random night when she invited me out for drinks. I was in awe of this women sitting across from me. She was amazing and I had to see her again! We had a lunch date where she spilled her drink, soaking the entire bar, while trying to be cute. She was though! It was a good laugh and earned her another date. That date was Battleship night! We're both competitive and this was the perfect game for us. Little did I know I would lose the battle but I won the war....of love. That's so cheesy right?! This night I was also had my first encounter will a real live fireball with hair and vocabulary. Amira! The excitement of Amira being nosey and Melissa being completely unamused was great! It was a joy to be there and I never wanted to lose that feeling again.

Drinks & Battleships

Okay so boom. I really needed a part time job and I walked into Old Navy for a job interview and this FINE man interviewed me (Seriously, I texted my friends THAT day). I'm a punk so it took me like a year to gather the courage to slip him my number. Apparently he assumed I exchanged numbers to call out of work (Who even does that?) so he didn't use it (heartbreak). One night I was hype on liquid courage so I texted him and told him we should go out for drinks. He presumed I meant as friends (again, who does that?) but he seemed to have gotten the hint after we hung out until last call. Our next date (and he actually realized this one was a date) we ended up in a bar where I was nervous enough to spill an entire drink on myself (do not judge me).. The third time we hung out he went and bought battleship so we could play it, listened to me rattle on about Middle Eastern Politics and went shot for shot drinking 151 with me (Pretty sure our livers aged 500000 years that night). Coincidently this is also the night he met Amira who refused to go bed and demanded every ounce of both of our attention the entire first like five hours he was there. I knew then and he hasn't been able to get rid of me since!

How We Became JAM Fam - Amira

Justin, Amira, Melissa

We became JAM FAM because my dad did everything to make me and my mom happy. I met my dad when I was 4 years old. He became my dad because when me and my mom where home in Memphis we went to his house sometimes and he always came to Wichita to see us. Then he wanted to live with us in Massachusetts. We were a fun family. I love my dad and my mom because they let me be who I want to be when I grow up and they make everything better and make me happy. They teach me what I need to know and make me happy. That is how we became JAM Fam.
