Our Story

It started at The U...

It all started with a coffee and a hug during finals week. We met as graduate students at the University of Miami.

How he asked

Let's run the Key Biscayne bridge

He invited her to a Saturday morning run, nothing outside of the unusual. He parked under the Key Biscayne bridge, notorious for vagrants and fisherman. "Why are you parking down here!?" she exclaimed. "You're gonna get your window smashed!" His excuse was he wanted a picture. Little did she know that waiting for her was a collage of their pictures, 2 dozen flowers, a bottle of Moet and Red Hot Chili Pepper's "Hard to Concentrate" playing in the background. She sees the display and proclaims "How sad! Did somebody die?" In hindsight, the hanging pictures did look a little like a memorial. He suggests that they should get closer. Once she realizes that it is them in the pictures, she turns around to find him on one knee. He had a whole speech planned, but all that came out was "Will you marry me?" Still stunned, she says "Yes!", and we pop the champagne in celebration. The rest is history!
