An award winning historic landmark venue awaits your classic/ elegant wedding. With a large Sanctuary and an outdoor Plaza, 440 Elm offers the rare outdoor ceremony/ indoor reception combination with plenty of room for cocktail hour and lots of spots for photos. A hospitality first approach ensures your guests will feel taken care of while ensuring quick initial food and beverage options, warm service, and ways to eliminate queues. Our in-house catering provides a wide range of menus with different themes and service formats. The downtown Long Beach location provides access to lots of hotels, restaurants, Catalina, the Queen Mary, for a great weekend for your guests. And all roads lead to Long Beach so it's a perfect spot for those with guests coming from San Diego to Los Angeles.

We do have parking for up to about 50 cars. For weddings and larger events we generally recommend a shuttle (there are 3000 city spots about 2.5 blocks away) or valet.
Yes, we have accessible parking, ramps/ lifts, and an elevator (also historic, requires attendant).
We have a liquor license and operate under the CA-mandated RBS standard so we must control the alcohol. Please ask about specifics for sponsored brands or use of a private wine collection for specific pairings, etc. Anyone caught onsite with outside alcohol will immediately be asked to leave the event.
January - April. Although it tends to be awards season.
We're really close to the Long Beach Airport. Reasonable distances from Los Angeles International (LAX) and John Wayne serving Orange County (JWA).
All vendors will need to have their timelines/ plans approved and provide a COI with us listed under their general liability insurance. We recommend wedding/ event insurance for you personally to cover yourself in the case of an unforeseen incident that may postpone/ cancel your event or cause other unforeseen issues.
Our catering company operates the building and therefore we are the exclusive caterer. We're happy to work with you to create customized menus that match to your event theme, dietary preferences, or cultural backgrounds.
