Over the past 10 years, I have enjoyed helping friends & family plan many events. It was after planning my own wedding, that I realized I wanted to continue helping others create unforgettable events too! Outside of working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our pets and my bonus daughter! I also enjoy baking, traveling, gaming, and gardening.

I have the skills & ability to help keep things organized & running smoothly before, during & after any event. I work on all types of events, from start to finish. I have worked with weddings that have a guest count of 50 or 500. I have a professional Wedding Planner certification from IAP Career College. Please check out some of my previous work!

    Enjoyed working with you at the Aviation Museum. Fast setup, friendly to the guests and very personable and professional. It was a great opportunity to get to know you and work with you. Would enjoy working beside you again at other events.

    Marissa was absolutely amazing to work with! She made the whole planning process so much easier and less stressful. As well as on my wedding day, she made sure everything went on time, made sure we were fed and helped so much with set up and take down. Her communication before, during and even after the wedding shows how much she cares and loves what she does. I cannot thank her enough for ensuring our day was perfect! I will forever recommend Lavender & Rye Events!!

    I am a wedding DJ and I have personally worked with Marissa with Rylant Events at 3 different weddings. She. Is. AMAZING!!! She is first of all, so kind and such a fun person to be around. I have seen her handle difficult situations with professionalism and a calm demeanor at all times. I love how she takes in account what each vendor needs before she makes a call, that's what a good leader does.     If you are are looking for not just a wedding planner, but a caring and thoughtful person to plan the day of your dreams, look no further!!! We had the absolute best experience with Marissa from Rylant Events! She patiently and professionally guided me through my wedding experience with the utmost thought, concern and care. Throughout our entire planning Marissa constantly checked in on me to ensure my questions were answered and that I had everything I needed throughout the process. She was extremely patient when I requested random meetings, had off the wall ideas and even offered additional assistance outside of her contract. It's rare that you find help these days from people who offer a personalized service vs a transactional one. Marissa even helped me with some rowdy family members to ensure they didn’t get too out of hand. I almost felt as if I was planning our wedding with a close girlfriend. You’re truly a kind soul, Marisa!! Our day came and it was perfect. Marissa kept to our timeline and was able to quickly shift if something came up that required immediate attention. She ensured everything was cleaned and packed up on time. I can't wait to plan another event and hire Marissa from Rylant Events!!
