Hi! My name is Melissa, and I have been photographing weddings since 2009. I know wedding planning can be stressful, so my goal is to make this part of your wedding stress-free! I am going to provide you with beautiful images full of emotion that will also bring you right back to that moment when you view them. If you are looking for stunning images that feel effortless, from a photographer that feels like a friend, then I am your photographer! Each wedding inspires me to tell your story through photography. I also take great pride in the editing process. I truly enjoy turning the photographs into genuine works of art.

I pay attention to detail as not to miss any moment or important detail, and I create a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere! I am well trained in posing and providing prompts during the portrait sessions. My goal is to make you and your partner, and also everyone else that has to come to be a part of your special day, feel comfortable and at ease…even have some fun with it! This helps us capture genuine moments, real excitement, and true essence of the wedding day. I provide a sneak peek within 72 hours. Those photos I spend a lot of time editing to give you some of the best right away!

    I am extremely disappointed with the wedding photography services provided by Melissa Marx. In the beginning, her communication was fine - she was quick to respond to emails and phone calls until after our wedding. I had one scare from a scam artist saying they were her asking for more money before there wedding but thankfully cleared it up later on. (Maybe it was her) We were only given 5 photos a month after the wedding. Kept calling her and texting her and still haven’t heard much back except a story every time why she was late. I tried being understanding but seeing our photo being used on her website that we don’t have I’m fuming. We were told to expect our wedding photos within 4-6 weeks, but it has now been over 5 months and we still have not received them. The only evidence we have of her work is a photo of us that she has used as the title page on her Zola website, which is concerning since we have not even seen the full gallery yet. Given the delayed delivery and lack of communication, I would not recommend Melissa Marx to any couples looking for a reliable and high-quality wedding photographer. The value we received simply does not match the price we paid. We are now going to pursue getting our money back due to not having our photos.

    Melissa was very professional, pleasant and punctual. She went through all of the images she wanted to take for us with ease, and captured a lot of candid moments that are some of our favorite pictures! Her editing skills are pretty amazing, and really brought our pictures to another level and that’s exactly what I was looking for when it comes to our wedding pictures. I was really impressed with her level of professionalism, how she didn’t miss anything, and made all of us feel really comfortable. She was just a real pleasure to work with!

    I truly couldn’t be happier with choosing Melissa Marx! The process beforehand was really easy on my end, she was super helpful and attentive. Melissa arrived early, she had such a nice way about her and all of our guests loved her! The photos came out so beautiful, and brought tears to my eyes. She’s amazing!!
