Great experience overall with Alex and Toussaint Productions! He was very attentive whenever we reached out and the Vibo app made it super easy to plan everything! When we spoke to him he had a lot of great recommendations on music we were still uncertain on a couple weeks before our big day, and he just brought positive energy. He was great at reading our crowd and our dance floor was never empty! Glad we found Toussaint Productions for our big day, and for anyone still looking, you won’t go wrong with them & Alex!

Mike DJ'd my wedding in May 2023, and he is THE BEST. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Mike was very responsive, easy and fun to plan with, and great with communication leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, we didn't need to touch base with him because we were confident he had everything covered. We had some interesting song requests, specific timing for certain songs, etc., and Mike handled everything perfectly. He was the perfect MC to help facilitate the grand march, speeches, dances, and dinner, and he kept the party going all night! We highly, highly recommend Mike!

TCC Productions

5.0

Bowie, MD
  • DJ

Welcome to our page! I'm Maurice, and I'm the founder and lead DJ here at TCC Productions (formerly "Covenant Child Productions"). Since 2010, we've been rocking events across DC / Maryland / Virginia and beyond. We’ve been fortunate to DJ at company parties, live concerts, private house parties, and more. But weddings are particularly dear to us. It’s always an honor to join couples in their celebration of love. We would love to be a part of your celebration as well!

Awarded Best of Zola
We had an amazing time at our wedding. We are thankful to Maurice and his team for making the night flow so smoothly. We did not have an MC for our wedding reception so Maurice filled that role and was able to DJ and host well. There was a variety of music and the crowd was engaged. Very satisfied with their services.

  • Starts at $1,600

I've spent the past 15+ years offering my musical knowledge to events all over the world. That experience translates to DJing weddings and events so seamlessly, from being able to read crowds and deliver exactly what you and your guests want, to managing logistics from the DJ booth in an effortless manner. Whether you want a folk-laden cocktail hour, a classic dinner playlist, or a modern dance party, let me be the one to provide the soundtrack to the most important day of your life!

Awarded Best of Zola
Jeremy aka OneManJamz provided a flawless experience for our wedding day--the setup was perfect for the venue, he absolutely killed it with song transitions and a custom mix for special dances (father-daughter dance being a particular highlight), and communication along the way put us at ease. The onboarding/consult process was very clear, and we felt like the soundtrack reflected the party very well. The night went way too quickly, but largely because everyone was having so much fun on the dancefloor. Thanks again for such a memorable night.

Kelton djed our wedding back in 2018 and we couldn't have been happier! He was the easiest vendor to work with by far. Always quick to respond to any question and very flexable. He was also super organized, which impressed us from the start. The sound for our ceremony was perfect (a top priority for us after attending friends weddings where you couldn't hear anything) and the dance floor was packed all night. Save yourself the guesswork, he's great!

DJ Maskell

Washington, DC
  • DJ
  • Starts at $2,800

DJ Mark Maskell is an experienced wedding DJ in the Washington DC area with a background in DC nightclubs and expertise extending far beyond simply rocking the dancefloor after dinner. In addition to DJing hundreds of weddings over 15+ years, Mark has worked extensively as a wedding coordinator and works closely with clients to ensure that the day flows smoothly.

Awarded Best of Zola
It’s always so refreshing meeting a wedding vendor that truly just loves his job and genuinely wants the best for his clients. That was my first impression upon meeting Mark who will literally do whatever he can to turn your dance floor dreams to life. Mark really goes above and beyond for his clients and even offers to help plan your day outside of your music and lighting needs. He is willing to travel and will come as early as he can to setup and stay as late as he can to ensure that all of your lighting, speaker and music needs are met. Mark even came to our final walkthrough and helped advocate for us with our coordinator to make sure the caterer and venue were accommodating our requests. I can’t tell you how many people told my husband and I how much they loved our DJ after the wedding between his energy, playlist, all of the amazing uplifting he added in for the speeches, the dance party lights, and we received compliments about how friendly he was in the buffet line chatting with all of our guests. Mark is really the best out there and we hope we get to attend another wedding or event where Mark is the DJ as we really miss working with him already. Thank you for everything Mark- we appreciate you and your amazing work so so much!!

24k Event Band is THE DMV's ultimate entertainment experience. Quick to respond, flexible, personable, with outstanding vocals, musicians and leadership, your party will be the one to beat. 24k is a premium experience from the first call to the very end. It is our goal to make certain we meet your expectations and will work with you to create your vision in every way. I couldn't be more proud to share this band with the DMV, and I know you will be as thrilled as I am, from the first organizing steps to the last note! Recent news: 24k is proud to have been chosen as the entertainment for the National Women's Art Museum in October!

24k Event Band was the first vendor we secured for our April 2022 wedding. Working with Robin to coordinate was seamless, she was always pleasant and helpful. As we got closer to the date we worked closely with Jill who went out of her way to understand our vision and musical preferences. Nearly all of our wedding guests commented on how wonderful the band was - seriously, even our parents were getting texts and calls about how great the band was! They had so much energy and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night playing music across many genres (and decades!) 24k Event Band was worth every penny and I hope we can attend another wedding soon where they perform!

Kelton was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He stuck with us even when we had to postpone our wedding for two years due to the pandemic, so we really appreciated his commitment to working with us. Kelton has a great system for figuring out your taste, priorities, and run of show. He set up very quickly at our venue, which was key given we were running on a tight schedule, and he managed to produce nice sound in a very cavernous space (no idea how!). He kept us running on time and made all transitions seamless. His music perfectly matched the vibe we wanted, starting with a relaxed cocktail hour and dinner, and gradually increasing the tempo into a full-scale dance party as the night went on. And our friends and family had an absolute blast! He had everyone from 20 somethings to family in their 60s and 70s dancing until the very end! We got so many positive messages the next day, including one person who described our DJ as being "on fleek."

The "Original" Moonlighters ®

3.7

Washington, DC
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $2,000

Since 1990, The Moonlighters ® have been performing throughout the U.S. as one of the country’s best-loved and most authentic Motown and variety dance bands, covering all your Jazz/Blues/Oldies/Motown/Soul/Disco/Funk/Classic Rock/Pop favorites! Just close your eyes and you’ll swear the original artists are performing. But don’t close them for too long or you won’t be able to enjoy their outstanding dance moves and showmanship.

We're quite saddened by their google review, posted even before we had a chance to actually speak with them to clear up several serious inaccuracies. Our band has HUNDREDS of positive online reviews/satisfied wedding clients. And we'll always accept valid criticism. But this one is mostly false and unfair. As Zola does not provide the option for responding to negative reviews, the following are our comments: 1. Since the bride and groom hadn't hired a wedding planner everything was extremely disorganized as we received their timeline just one week prior to the event, but then they changed it twice more, including two days before. Despite asking for our bandleader's phone #, the groom never reached out to discuss any of these details. In other words, we were given minimal direction in regard to all of the last-minute changes. Even on the wedding day itself, our band was asked to set and reset their equipment multiple times because the bride and groom disagreed with the onsite coordinator's floor plan, moving/resetting the bride and groom table as well! 2. According to what the photographer told us, the bride and groom's limo driver was over 90 min. late, shifting the entire timeline and putting them in a bad mood from the very beginning, as noticed by our bandleader at around 5:15pm when he first introduced himself, prior to the band providing either live or recorded music. 3. Regarding the recorded music, it was only lacking for approx. 45 min. as the band discovered the phone battery issue at approx. 7:45pm, during their first break, quickly rectifying the situation by putting the phone on a charger and then continuing with the recorded music outside from approx. 8-10pm. Furthermore, they made up for it by keeping their system running for an extra 30 min., beyond our contracted time of 11pm. And those comments regarding the afterparty are also totally untrue as somebody from the band was manning the system, until a cousin of the bride or groom demanded that he use her playlist instead, and then she responded angrily when he finally turned off the system at 11:30pm. 4. As for the band's sound system, we do acknowledge some 'hum' issues as there was just one electrical outlet provided for the entire band, resulting in 'dirty power' which couldn't be fully corrected. And we deeply regret mispronouncing the various names as most were very unfamiliar and of Indian origin, despite our lining up the wedding party in advance and writing everything down phonetically. 5. Even though some of the client's emails mentioned solo keys during cocktails, we provided a duo, covering an extra 30 min. of recorded music from 4:30-5pm at no extra charge, as requested. While it's standard practice for a band to take a dinner break during an almost six hr. event, this was clearly-specified in our contract as well. And then we performed continuously from 8:30-10pm, including most of the requested songs that we had prepared well in advance. So their comments about seemingly just 'walking off a bus' are completely false and misleading. In other words, our musicians went 'above and beyond' in spite of some very challenging circumstances. 6. Fortunately, we did receive a 'happy reaction' with a crowded dance floor and TONS of compliments from the guests, some requesting pictures w/the band too, while even the bride and groom were singing along and dancing non-stop, which we were VERY happy to see, making their negative review even more surprising though!

Nightsong

5.0

Washington, DC

Electrifying, riveting, simply on fire! These are just a few quotes from reviews of Nightsong, one of the hottest and most well-respected dance bands in the country. Nightsong made our wedding absolutely perfect! In a call with the band leader, Bennett (who is the nicest person ever), I gave the direction that I want to party all night and give our guests a reason to not sit down. Boy, did Nightsong deliver!! 3 days later and my calves still hurt from dancing so much, and we have the best pictures of the dance floor being PACKED the entire night. The singers were amazing and the guitarist was unreal (he even did a guitar solo at the end that everyone was raving about). I even have some friends getting married end of next year who may be booking because they loved the band so much!! Cannot recommend them enough- seriously, just book them, you will be thankful you did.
