When I was sixteen years old, my photography teacher asked me if I was interested in photographing a wedding for his former student. I said, "sure, when?". He said, "this weekend". I had zero idea that a wedding photographer was a viable career, but I sure am living out the dream of my childhood self who ran around with a camera at all times, loved people, and wanted to run the best business (lemonade stand) on the block. We met in elementary school, Derek was 2 years ahead of me at a small private school where everybody knew everybody. I'm a summer baby through and through - there's nothing better than driving home from celebrating with one of my couples, windows down, music blasting, the wind blowing through my hair. My love affair with photographing love started early. My grandfather was a hobby photographer who spent countless hours taking family photos and putting them in albums for each of his grandkids. I still pull mine out and flip through it when I'm feeling nostalgic - it's amazing how photo albums stand the test of time.

I put everything into it... my energy, my humor, my time and there is nothing else I would rather do. If you see me outside of a job, I always have a camera on me because I just feel weird without one at my side.
