A photography professionally since 1997, my photographic skills were honed back in the days of film, working in my family's advertising agency. After many years of commercial photography experience, I officially launched my photography-exclusive business in 2009, leaving the advertising world behind. The catalyst which caused me to make this career shift was a cancer diagnosis in 2008. Having cancer causes you to reevaluate a lot of things about how you spend the time you have left in this world. And I wanted to spend whatever time I have left here doing something meaningful. And what could be more meaningful than weddings?

I grew up in Eastern Europe — technically Moldova. I have always had a natural eye for photography. In my youth, I often looked out at the landscape and thought of ways to capture its uniqueness and beauty. Eight years ago, I began taking wedding photos as an assistant, and studied under my mentor, a well-known photographer and cinematographer. I learned to take my natural eye and transform that into a journalistic style of photography. Over the last five years, my focus has been on being the best Boston wedding photography. I have documented over 100 weddings and have photographed weddings at churches, parks, and people’s backyard.

Let me tell you a secret.... If there's one thing I've learned in the last 10 years, it's that amazing photos are the bare minimum of being an exceptional Wedding Photographer. You need to find someone you genuinely vibe with. You need to get on the phone and experience that person. If that person doesn't make you laugh in the first 5 minutes, THEYRE NOT THE ONE.

I'd say my photography style would be something along the lines of "lifestyle photography". [That means that posing you in silly ways that seem fake / awkward isn't really my jam.] I mean, unless that gets some snuggles & laughs. I'm ALLLL about that. I like to capture REAL life with REAL emotions and REAL smiles. Your session should be relaxed and fun. [All while I get some kick-ass photos!] I will most likely make a giant fool of myself at your session, so you'll feel like a professional. I sing, trip, laugh, make noises, mention inappropriate things, show my nerdiness. AKA YOU'RE GOING TO DO JUST FINE.

Since it’s creation in 2002, Pictus Photography has been involved in shooting wedding, portrait, and various other categories of photography throughout the New England area and beyond. We incorporate a combination of photojournalistic and traditional styles of photography in order to capture all of the special moments of your event. I'm a New Hampshire Wedding + Portrait photographer primarily serving the New England area. I started my photography career in 2013. As a photographer, I've become intimately acquainted with my clients which have lead to great relationships and even better friends. Photography is apart of my lifestyle. When I'm not behind my camera, I'm spending time with my High School Sweetheart, my beautiful daughter and two adorable Chocolate Labradors.

I consider myself VERY lucky to do what I do, and I appreciate that fact every day. It's my goal to tell the story of your wedding the best way I know how- to be a photojournalist, fellow enthusiast, and friend. I want to capture it all on your big day. From the moments of you putting your dress to the tears running down your face as you read your vows to each other. To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Being able to grab the moments for you to hold to forever, is such a rewarding humbling job for me.
