Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Stonehouse, with its arched windows, and open porches, would serve as a picturesque backdrop for any function. The country estate sits on ten acres above the Holden Reservoirs, surrounded by a forest filled with old beech and birch trees. Stonehouse offers a serene event space surrounded by nature.

The Captain Morse House is the perfect venue to host a spectacular event or wedding. You can really enjoy each others company when all your friends and family stay under one roof. Don’t want that mch closeness? Divide up the group into the East and West Wing; Easy Peasy! We’ve had all sorts of weddings, vow renewals, celebrations, clambakes, corporate retreats, family reunions, golf outings, birthdays , anniversaries, you name it. Your event will be one to remember whether under our three beautiful linden trees (the biggest in Edgartown) or under a custom Sperry Tent with a large dance floor to get your Boogy on. The Captain Morse House has one of Edgartown’s largest backyards. It is almost four feet above the street grade which allows for great views down Morse St. to the harbor and west for the sunset. Photographers love our natural light at the end of the day.

We have 26 guest rooms (ten in our main Victorian Inn and sixteen in our motor lodge sections), a fabulous covered function deck and a fantastic, creative chef. We can accommodate up to 130 guests for your Wedding on our outdoor deck. Smaller Weddings are also accommodated inside our main Victorian Inn. Our beautiful grounds with river views are fully available.
