We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

We love Tati and Roman's photographic style. Roman captured our day beautifully. We were very happy with our photos and highly recommend them!

I can't say enough great things about NJ Wedding Studio! Frank was so easy to work with and our photographer, Daniel, is GREAT at what he does! When I first reached out to Frank, he responded back right away with pricing and everything I might need to know. We scheduled a phone conference to talk more about what my husband and I were looking for. Right away, I got the sense that Frank was so organized and knew what he was doing. Throughout the entire process, Frank was answering our questions promptly and never left us in the dark. We scheduled an engagement photo session with Daniel and couldn't have been happier! I'm personally not comfortable in front of the camera, but Daniel posed us throughout the entire session and made us feel very at ease. Daniel was also very easy to work with. We got our photos back EARLY in color and black and white. The quality was amazing and they turned out beautiful. On our wedding day, Daniel was prompt and got started with the photos right away. He followed what my husband and I wanted to capture, as well as other photos I wouldn't have even thought to take. He arrived at 1pm and was with us until 11pm. He captured us getting ready, first look, group shots, ceremony and party shots. We got a sneak peek not even 24 hours later and to say they looked amazing is an understatement! We received all of our pictures 3 weeks later and enjoyed looking at them together. Not a single moment was missed. Thank you, NJ Wedding Studio, for being apart of our dream wedding!

Bailey Q Photo

Hey there, my name is Bailey! I am an artist, business woman, wifey, nerd, Brooklyn-ite, and matcha fiend who’s endlessly curious about the world around me. I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are looking for a photographer to perfectly capture your wedding day, you’ve found the one! Book Bailey right now, because she is the real deal. Her photos are beautiful and working with Bailey was such a warm, joyful experience. She captured our love and community (and our show-stealer of a dog) so perfectly. Bailey’s pre-wedding meetings with us as a couple were so helpful – she has so much great advice from her experience as a wedding photographer and was even able to help us craft a timeline for our big day that helped us make sure we had time to do everything and got all those special moments captured. We could not be happier with our choice to book Bailey for our queer brewery wedding in Boston and are absolutely obsessed with how these photos turned out.

Steven Rosen Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,200

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had a wonderful time working with Steven. He was very professional and brought equipment for every kind of lighting and weather. We loved the result! He was also very friendly and recommended great settings for shots. It felt like a breeze to work with him!

Emily Louick Photography

I believe that your images should look and feel exactly like you, as if you stepped out of your photographs into real life. My style is natural, vibrant and true to color and I enjoy providing a client experience that is unique, well-planned and most of all, fun! By the time your wedding arrives, my hope is you'll see me as a trusted friend helping you enjoy your day! A lifelong New Yorker, I love combining the creative with the technical and finding the beauty, art and magic in life as well as good food, dancing to 90s jams and my senior rescue cat, Ever.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emily is THE BEST! I wanted to do a surprise photo shoot to propose to my girlfriend and Emily helped me plan everything down to the smallest detail. She captured our special moment perfectly and she took extra time to make sure we visited a few locations to get a beautiful variety of memories to help commemorate the occasion. Then after the shoot, the edits came out amazing and she built and formatted an album for us to share with our families. She has incredible input and direction but also is very respectful of the client's wants and opinions as well. Absolutely would hire her again!

Hi! I'm Sarah. Congratulations on taking the next step in your wedding planning! Choosing to work with me earns you more than just a photographer; you get a hype-girl, a dress fluffer, a confidant and a new best friend. Since we are now future besties, here's what you should know about me: My love for portraiture stems from the joy it brings me to make others feel beautiful. Few things make me feel as giddy as photographing weddings, engagements & proposals, and I can't wait to capture the next stage of your love story. My strengths lie in natural lighting, illuminating colors, and catching the candid moments that make you, you.

Awarded Best of Zola
I’ve hired Sarah several times over 2 years and hired her to take photos of me proposing to my fiancée in Central Park. Sarah was great at keeping my nerves calm while we organized the logistics of popping the question. Sarah found a great spot in the park and, in order to keep the surprise hidden, pretended to be a stranger while she offered to take pictures. After I proposal, we did a full photoshoot and Sarah was great and giving directions and making my fiancée feel comfortable (who can be a bit camera shy). The photos Sarah took are some of the best photos I have and even got the attention of People Magazine.

Steph Smith Photo

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

If you're the kind of couple that would prefer their photographer feel like one of the guests as opposed to a paparazzi, and if when the neighbors complain about the noise, you just invite them to the party, keep reading. I take a documentary-style approach to my weddings. Roaming with a camera, I capture the candid moments and small details that make your wedding unique to you, while making sure to set aside time for a few special portraits.

Awarded Best of Zola
Steph isn't just an amazing wedding photographer, she's an amazing human. Working with her was like getting an extra bonus guest -- a bonus guest who can absolutely crush a wedding shoot. She knew just how to pose us, light us, and capture our most important moments, all while staying basically invisible. We had no idea she even got some of the beautiful shots she did until we saw our previews, because she was just that good. Hire Stephanie to shoot your wedding; your children will thank you in 20 years.

AnnAnn Puttithanasorn Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,500

I started my journey as a portrait & fashion photographer, working with modeling agencies and brands, primarily in New York City and Dallas. I would describe my style as authentic, editorial, and timeless. My love for photographing couples and their unique love stories stemmed from my love of photojournalism. Your story existed long before I stepped in and I want to honor that. I strive to capture each raw moment as it is — organically, as it unfolds. With a background in fashion and editorial work, I also incorporate romantic poses that truly make each couple shine. This guarantees beautiful imagery to look back on for years to come.

Awarded Best of Zola
AnnAnn is such a joy to work with. Her work has a very modern look to it that I think any bride can appreciate. She is always professional and punctual, and treats everyone with great respect. Can't recommend her enough.

Olker Wedding Photo

Heather has been shooting weddings for the past decade and is an award-winning photographer. Her work has been published in fashion-forward magazines and exhibited at Scope, Miami, FL, Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, IL, New Apostle Gallery, New York, NY, and other galleries. Olker Wedding Photo was featured on Zola as a preferred vendor and the business has earned “The Best of Weddings” award and the “Couple’s Choice” award. She is an expert in her field and holds a Master of Fine Art in Photography from the School of Visual Arts.

Awarded Best of Zola
Where do I begin, Heather is an incredible talented photographer to work with! Goes above and beyond to do a great job! Through a recommendation of a professional wedding hair stylist, we were introduced to "Heather Olker Photography". From the start, Heather's approach and her overall personality was one that aligned completely with us. You will come across several vendors during the wedding planning process that have overpowering personalities.. Heather and her team are very well organized, responsive, sweet, helpful and communicated very well with us and with our coordinator at the venue. She helped us in creating the perfect timeline for our wedding day, made us feel completely comfortable through the process. Responded promptly to all our questions and concerns. She traveled from NY to Boston to photograph our engagement photo session, and wedding photos. Which we absolutely love!!! All things being equal, my husband and I are not the most photogenic people ;) The engagement photo session (which I encourage everyone to get one, if only as an opportunity to get to know your photographer before the big day) it allowed us an opportunity to see Heather as someone who completely goes with the flow with our collective vision. There is so much attention to detail you put into your wedding day and those memories are all now fleeting. But investing in someone like Heather and her professional team for your wedding day, capturing the pictures of not just you, but more importantly to us - our family and close friends - was the wisest investment that we could have made last summer. If you're wondering whether or not to book her as your photographer for your special day, don't hesitate. There is no one better! We Highly recommend her. Thank you once again Heather "Heather Olker Photography". Much appreciated, Claudia & Greg

The Lovely Lens

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,300

Hullo! So you're gettin' hitched (YaaY!), but you’re not super into the idea of the overly-manicured wedding. A+ for you, because this is not your parents’ wedding photography. I'm a farm kid who floats between the journalism and art worlds. I love telling stories as much as I love listening to the stories of others. I’m the type of person who makes up musicals for my own amusement and nurses a soft spot for sci-fi and fantasy. If I’m not taking photos, I’m usually dancing. Or cooking. It’s possible I may have a baking addiction and try to mitigate the damage by forcing the goods on loved ones.

Awarded Best of Zola
Celia at The Lovely Lens was an absolute GEM!! Our wedding was not the typical / traditional ceremony-- on purpose! Leading up to the big day, Celia kept lines of communication open (so helpful for planning) and was 1000% supportive of our special day being so...well, special! She was such a total champ while capturing every moment in the pouring rain. She was fully prepared for the weather & didn't miss one beat! My partner and I instantly felt at ease and loved our time together with her. She encouraged us to be our authentically goofy selves! Her presence was so warm, her energy was delightful, and her work was STUNNING! Seriously, I'm obsessed with the photos! Not only do we have incredible images from this amazing day, but we also have wonderful memories with Celia. She was so friendly and kind us as well as to our family and friends, and immediately jumped on board with our 'potluck bbq at Grandma's house' vibe. By the end of the day she felt like part of the family as we chatted about our furkids and exchanged on where to order some cute socks with their faces on them, haha. If you're looking for an absolute powerhouse of an artist to capture your day in the way that doesn't feel awkward or intrusive, or if you're looking for a photographer with genuinely good vibes and authentic energy, or if you're looking for someone to simply help tell your love story through stunning imagery-- please consider The Lovely Lens of Celia for your special day. 3

I'm Karen, a wedding and portrait photographer based in New York City but can travel anywhere! I've been working as a photographer full time for the last 10 years and in that time have managed to photograph over 200 weddings or something like that. I'm from Virginia originally and was always interested in photography and got my first big break at a friend's wedding! I moved to NYC in 2011 and live in Brooklyn with my partner Austin and our two dogs Blanca and Bort. We have a very large record collection and love trying natural wines!

Karen was great from the beginning. She was recommended to us and we fell in love with her style from pictures on her website; it was just what we were looking for. I loved that we had a few phone calls to discuss our vision and the way she works. She was very organized before, during and after our wedding. Karen was great to work with; she is professional and a sweet person with a great eye.

I'm originally from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania but I've lived all over the country and have finally landed in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. My personal hobbies include rock climbing, learning French, fine-tuning my espresso skills, and drinking the best wine I can get my hands on (yes, if you're getting married at a winery, I'm interested!). I've been photographing weddings since 2009 (that's 15 years!) and I'm still not even the least bit bored. Hell, I still cry at weddings on a regular basis. Staying emotional and in the moment is what allows me to capture the moments that matter most to my couples.

Brooklyn, NY

Seeing and envisioning the way things will appear photographically for the past 20 years, is a finely tuned skill that I have made into my career.  With every wedding and photoshoot all of my experience with light, composition, and how surroundings and subjects will translate in a photograph is intricately woven into every shot. Weddings are my creative playground combining three of my favorite types of photography into one:  portraiture, lifestyle, and photojournalism.  I love jumping into your day armed and ready to capture the most extraordinary fleeting moments in real time.

As a wedding planner and florist, Steph goes further and beyond in carefully capturing beautiful details of the events we work together. Her soft and professional presence is always beyond pleasant. Moreover, I love to see the result of our events through her eyes. Simply amazing!

Natura Collective

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

Hey there! My partner Emilio and I have been shooting together for over 5 years. I personally shot my first wedding back in 2010! We're an LGBT owned company and we are so so so passionate about making sure everyone feels represented in a sometimes white-washed straight appearing industry, we love inclusivity. Our main goal is you having the best stress-free and FUN wedding photo/video experience.

We absolutely loved working with Christian, Emilio and Max at Natura Collective. To say they put us at ease is an understatement! Neither my (now) husband nor I am tremendously comfortable being the center of attention and photographs are... frankly... just that. But the Natura Collective team had such a warmth and comfort about them, we honestly had the best time with them! From the engagement session to the portraits before the event, taking pictures felt natural and even fun! During the actual wedding they were everywhere we wanted them to be without our even noticing it. And the photos we've received back are so perfect! I cannot recommend them enough! We can't wait to get the full set back in a few months! Do not hesitate, they are lovely to work with and their photos are beautiful!

Hello and welcome! My name is Tatiana and I'm the girl from Brooklyn but I was born in raised in Siberia, Russia. Since I was teenager I was taken photographs of every day moments and small happenings in my life. And I never knew that taking photographs and creating memories for other people will become my dream job! I am a traveller, adventurer, dog lover and of course wedding and elopement photographer in NYC and beyond! And let me tell you I absolutely love weddings! It's a tremendous honor to witness and document the love. I always shed a tear at the ceremonies.

It's been almost 2 years since we were married, and looking back on our wedding album, I am so glad we found Tati. As we suspected, our wedding day was a whirlwind. With so much happening at once, it took some time to ease into the moment, and at times, it was hard to stay in the moment. Regardless, from beginning to end, Tati captured all the important ones beautifully. We couldn't be happier.

We are Forged in the North, a collective of photographers & cinematographers based out of Brooklyn, NY. All our work is a result of places we’ve been and couples we’ve fallen in love with. We may ask you to hike a dirt trail or climb into an abandoned building, because we aren’t satisfied until we know something can’t be done any better. But more than anything, we want to tell a story. And you are the story. So come find that perfect light with us and we’ll capture you just as you are.

Ryan and Heidi are GEMS! We are so thankful we hired them for our wedding. I was actually sad when I had to say bye to them at the end of the night! They made the whole experience personal and fun. We just received a preview of our photos and we could not be happier with the results. All our friends and family were talking about how incredible our photographers were all day. We had 18 people in our wedding party, which is a lot of people to manage for group pictures. There was never a point where photos felt difficult or forced. It was like they were a part of our wedding party crew just enjoying the day with us. My husband and I are not extremely comfortable getting pictures taken, so we were a little nervous to have photographers following us around all day. The whole day felt natural and all of the photos captured real moments rather than posed or staged moments. They were genuine, accommodating, thoughtful, creative, and warm - basically every quality you could want in someone who is with you by your side throughout your entire wedding day. HIRE THEM NOW.

Hi! My name is Kade Alpers (they/them.) I am a queer portrait photographer based in New York City. I started doing photography at a young age as a way to express myself. As I have come into my identity as a gender-queer lesbian, I have used it as a way to tell my story and the story of other queer people. While I work with a variety of clients, my focus in photography is creating a space where queer people feel safe, seen, and confident.

Kade Alpers Photography did an incredible job photogrpahing our fall elopement in NYC! They were very easy to communicate with and knew all the cool spots for awesome shots. We're stoked with our photos—they really captured exactly what we were looking for. If you want a great photographer, Kade is your person!

My images are a blend of formal photographic training and a passion for telling stories with pictures. I specialize in capturing natural, candid moments. I approach wedding photography as a documentarian with a deep love of family and a great respect for ritual.

Carey is an amazing wedding photographer with years of experience and a true knack for capturing moments without being obtrusive. Our friends kept calling her a ninja, because she would magically appear seemingly out of nowhere at exactly the right time to capture something! She was totally on top of the shot list we had established, and made sure that she covered off all the shots while also ensuring that we got to actually participate in all the aspects of our wedding day. We also really appreciated the engagement session, which served as an ice breaker where we got to know Carey a little bit ahead of the day, so we felt totally relaxed and comfortable with her on our wedding day. I think the thing that really sets Carey apart is her warmth and easy personality. On a day that can be filled with nerves and anxiety, Carey is EXACTLY the person you want around you - she is confident and in control, but so calm and kind and funny. I’m pretty sure being around her that day lowered my blood pressure several points! Really can’t recommend her highly enough.

With 16 years experience, Mel Barlow is an internationally recognized photographer who has been commissioned for commercial, lifestyle, editorial and high profile events worldwide. She is drawn to environmental and lifestyle portraiture and still life photography incorporating common threads of texture, airy spaces and clean lines. Her photographic sensibility creates raw, personal images that evoke a range of emotions.

Mel Barlow is the best! She was super professional and took the time prior to our wedding to get to know us through phone calls and emails. By the time the wedding came around I felt like Mel totally understood my vision (even though I couldn't even articulate what that vision was) and was able to capture that through our photos. She's that good! I was anxious to take photos because we have a big family and a lot of opinions but Mel made everything stress free and actually fun for all of us. Even without a preliminary engagement shoot (to get us comfortable in front of the camera) my husband and I felt at ease with Mel leading us! Don't even get me started on the actual photos...they are incredible! Mel captured our personalities so perfectly and I am obsessed with every single photo.

Before we even met, Ryan and Tatiana had 10 years experience as wedding photographers, and Ryan had been named one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World by the two top industry magazines, American Photo and Rangefinder. We didn't mean to fall in love with the person whose style and experience fit most neatly with each others', but it happened. Now we manage our business and creative passion with our other passion … parenting our Tasmanian Devil of a toddler, Gavin, in our happy place of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

Ryan and Tatiana are consummate professionals, reliable, inventive, trustworthy, problem-solvers, opportunity-finders, fun, warm, caring...if you want to feel comfortable with your photographers on multiple levels, hire them. We were extremely lucky to find this company and forever grateful to them. They made me feel amazing and our pictures and video were just incredible. I am a perfectionist and sometimes a bit much but they were so patient and kind. They were in constant communication with me and even let me know what to expect the day of. I received proofs fairly quickly (but can't remember how long though) and literally had 100s of pictures. I honestly had no cares at all. If you need a wedding photographer/videographer this is the company to choose. I have been to many weddings where the photographers forget about taking pictures with the guests and just focus on the wedding party. Blissfullstills made sure I got pictures with EVERYONE which meant the world to me. Oh and they had a drone that captured so many moments that would have been missed otherwise!! Hello, my name is Daniel Martinez and I thank you for taking interest in my work! Photography and I go way back! I discovered my passion for it when I was fourteen years old. From the first moment I picked up a camera, I knew that this career was the one that I wanted to pursue. I have worked within the wedding photography industry for 10 years and have experience working with publications such as ESPN, PDN, and The New York Times. My Photography style is documentary based as I aim to capture natural candid moments.

We hired Danny to take our engagement photos and we couldn't be any happier with how they turned out. Danny's eye is unmatched. We took the pictures on Danny's referral at beautiful Rockland Lake State Park around sunset. His knowledge & usage of natural lighting was truly impressive. Danny's communication throughout the shoot was flawless; he knew what to say and how to say it to catch the most amazing photos. We're beyond excited to have him shoot our wedding next September in Lake Placid, NY!

Hi, I'm Kayla! I'm so glad you're here! I was asked to talk about why I'm passionate about my work. Well for one, I love meeting new couples. It brings me a lot of joy creating images for couples who want to preserve timeless memories. It's not just about the images but really connecting with my couples to make sure to make sure they have an effortless experience with me.

I’m the owner of Koat Floral. I’ve been working with numerous photographers since I started my job as a florist and I can say that Kayla was the best photographer I’ve ever worked with. I won’t describe how amazing her work is, because you’ll notice it within a second right after you visit her website or Instagram page. I adore her clean, classic and elegant style. Her photography never fails to capture the brightest/happiest moment of the couple. If I get married one day, Kayla will be the first vendor I will book(only If her availability allows it). Besides her amazing work, I want to mention how amazing of a person she is. Kayla is such a bright and friendly person. She makes the whole mood very easy and comfortable. Mostly, couples are not comfortable when they pose in front of others and cameras. But, with Kayla, it was totally different. The whole photoshoot seemed so much fun. I can hear the couple’s laughter and jokes throughout the whole shooting. When you see Kayla’s photos, you can see the couples’ genuine smiles. Those are hard to fake. The other one is her punctuality. Kayla is never late! Always come onsite earlier and even she sent the sneak peek photos so much earlier than it was scheduled(can you believe it?)! Normally, it takes a long time for the other photographers to send the photos and often it could be even delayed. But Kayla, she was the only photographer who sent the photos so much earlier. She said she couldn't wait to see the photos; that’s why she edited the photos without sleeping. I was genuinely touched by her work ethic and her passion towards her work. I’m so lucky to know Kayla because I've learned a lot from and been inspired by her and it’s always good to be surrounded by nice people. I hope many of you could have the same experience as I’ve done with Kayla. I LOVE YOU, KAYLA!!!

Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. Candid moments, humor and a refined eye are the hallmarks of my photography. Hard work, experience and a love for what I do make it all come together. Born in Minnesota I road-tripped to New York City some 15 years ago to pursue my photography dreams. My then-girlfriend of 2 weeks, Lisa, was riding shotgun in the U-Haul. Fast forward to today and I am blessed to call Lisa my wife and Brooklyn our home. We have two wonderful girls, Ava and Ruby, that bring me endless joy. I’m hopelessly addicted to tennis! My door is always open to new ideas and projects. Please drop me a line. Josh

I'm a professional photographer and took well over 6 months searching for our wedding photographer. Josh was the 'winner' by a landslide. Initially I never thought I'd want a male photographer but as soon as we met I instantly felt so comfortable in his presence, I knew I and everything else would be extremely well 'taken care of.' He was SUCH a great presence and so professional, courteous, respectful, fun and got ALL the shots I ever could have dreamt of. A lot of wedding photographer's work looks the same to me, but Josh perfectly captured OUR wedding with all it's quirks, beauty and amazing moments. I found, when looking for a wedding photographer, you want someone you'd like to spend an afternoon and/or evening with (because, well, you will be). And Josh is that and then some. He's a genius photographer, a true master at his craft, in fact, stop reading this and just book him now!

You know those first few months that you fall in love & everything is so wonderful & terrifying & just so damn GOOD? It's that “new love” feeling & I’ve never been able to replicate that feeling with anything else, except photography. Your wedding day tells the story of your love. From that “new love” to the more comfortable kind, it is the culmination of all those moments leading up to “I do.” I consider myself the narrator of that day, telling that story and documenting your connection through my photographs.

Jenny Lebron is MA-GI-CAL!! She did our engagement photographs and they looked like something straight out of a magazine. My fiancé and I are a bit camera shy but she made us feel SUPER comfortable taking such intimate pictures. She was happy to direct the shoot when necessary but also encouraged us to share and try our own creative ideas to make the pictures super personal. She is such a kind person and I couldn't think of a more perfect photographer for us. I would (and do) recommend her to anyone who is looking their wedding photographer.

Though I found a love for portraits and weddings and made that my focus, I’ve kept the editorial aesthetic. Though I’ve lived in Brooklyn for 15 years I’ve kept the South Dakota demeanor. A calm and comfortable presence helps a lot when you’re not used to being followed around by a photographer. Getting great pictures shouldn’t be intimidating. It’ll be way more fun than you think

I cannot brag about having Liesl as our wedding photographer enough. She immediately knew our vibe and delivered pictures that could easily be in a magazine. Our names are Tess Mayer & Julia Wang and we are photography duo based in NYC. We met our freshman year at NYU Tisch and since then have run a magazine together, worked as teaching assistants at ICP & NYU, and shot our first wedding our senior year. Our style is a blend of candid documentary and stylized portraiture - we approach your day not as strangers following you around, but as excited guests (who happen to be carrying around cameras and massive lenses) who will most likely cry during your vows. We love small, intimate and relaxed weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew Tess personally and contacted her about photographing our wedding because we were fans of her professional work. It was one of the best choices of our no-frills wedding. We chose to get married at the courthouse in downtown Brooklyn on a Friday morning with family and then have a separate party in Williamsburg the following night with family and friends. With Tess, we were able to put all the photography stuff on auto-pilot and never worry about it. The planning process was extremely easy. Once we got her price (which was more than reasonable and a really good value) and paid half for a deposit, she blocked off the two days she would join us. Other than planning to take an extra hour or two after the Friday ceremony, that was all the preparation that went into it. She may have scouted the area in person or via map or just known the area. Either way, she was really in control with a plan once we got there. On the day of the ceremony, Tess came to the courthouse and basically just worked her magic. We were able to go on with whatever we had to do and Tess just moved around and through us taking photos opportunistically. She got some action shots of us in the waiting room and signing the papers and some portraits with our flowers and family. Tess's major strength is finding amazing scenes in the moment, and you don't even know they're happening. She has an amazing eye for pictures. And best of all, she captured them with us being able to go on with our day, barely noticing her darting around us. She of course photographed the little ceremony in the courthouse and then we took about an hour in the big hallway for family portraits. She was fast at organizing us and snapping through all the necessary combinations of people. Very efficient. Then we went outside with a smaller group and went to a few nice locations nearby. On the steps of a municipal building, crossing the street to a little park, and then the subway. It was fast, it was efficient, and we didn't even know until later how amazing the photos really were. They are not average photos. They are unique and artistic and beautiful. Once again Tess found the little scenes happening in front of us. She really has a great eye for framing and light. We didn't know just how cool they were until we saw them later. We then took a 30 minute subway ride getting some classic New York shots. On the second day, Tess arrived at the location of our party, and once again it was stress-free. She spent 2-3 hours weaving through the crowd capturing action shots of talking, eating, drinking, dancing, and also was very good at putting groups together every now and then and taking group portraits. It was the least hassling part of the party. Maybe a week or two later she sent us a link to the photos. She sifted through all of them (somehow), got rid of the bad ones, and touched up the good ones. We were able to download the folders of photos so we could share with our friends. Later, we ended up printing some glossy pictures of our favorite artsy shots from outside the courthouse and on the subway to put up in our apartment. And from time to time we print some little ones for little frames too. Whenever we want, we can tap into our repository and remember the great weekend. All in all, there were 500-600 photos that amazingly captured everything we would've wanted without us worrying if anyone was there to capture it.

When I'm not shooting weddings, I’m a total beach bum. This might sound like an oxymoron coming from a native Montrealer, but I adore the ocean (and very much dislike winter). I swim and surf whenever possible, and I get out to the Rockaways as often as I can. I do a ton of beach photography, including a series about couples at the beach, and I’ve been published a few times, including here and here. If you see me at the beach, come say hi, and let’s have a frozen drink together.

Erica was a dream to work with! She captured my engagement and wedding photos so beautifully - I've gotten emotional and cried happy tears each time I've gone through our gallery of photos for the first time. I can't recommend Erica enough - she is thoughtful, professional, super talented, hardworking, and just an all-around great person. I'm so grateful I had the chance to work with her!

I’ll try to keep this short: I’m a silly, introverted, rule breaker with a sincere whimsical streak. Originally from Iowa with a decent chunk of time spent bopping between Minneapolis and Oregon, I love weddings + photography (duh), my nephew, a stiff gin + tonic, propagating too many damn houseplants, and my cats. Last I checked I’m an INFP, Enneagram 4, and Capricorn which makes me quite the pragmatic daydreamer + observer: as unnecessarily prepared as a Boy Scout, curiously creative, and hella laid back, all of which uniquely prepares me for the ebb and flow of a wedding day.

Caitlin is a dream. From the time she arrived to the beginning moments of our wedding, Caitlin right away was comfortable with everyone. She brings an ease which allows people be calm and we honestly forgot she was there, snapping away. There were many moments where she would check in and make sure everyone was good, the energy was so sweet. We received our photos right when she said they would be done. The work Caitlin does captures the warmth, and light of a love event. My husband cried the first, second and third time we looked though the collection. We will treasure them forever. Highly, highly recommend her! 100%

I have been helping couples capture their most important day for the past 5 years and have enjoyed every second of it. I want you to feel your best on your day and be able to look back on these photographs and enjoy them as much as you did having them taken. I truly believe style should be timeless, and I really hope that I'm able to convey that message in each photo I produce.

She is so amazing! Just a beautiful person you want to capture you’re special day. She will do literally bend over backwards to get you the shot you want. She made our wedding day such a beautiful day. Took a lot of stress off our shoulders and gave us some of the greatest memories on paper. We will cherish her work and her art for the rest of our life

WE'RE MARIA AND RICARDO, WE ARE HUSBAND AND WIFE AND THE HEART BEHIND THE PICTURES. WE ARE BASED IN NYC AND TAKE WEDDING COMISSIONS ALL AROUND THE US AND ABROAD BUT WE ARE ORIGINALLY FROM SPAIN AND PUERTO RICO MARIA IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER, ALL THE IMAGES ARE TAKEN AND EDITED BY HER. RICARDO IS YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER AND RUNS THE BUSINESS AND MAKES SURE EVERYTHING GOES AS IT SHOULD. THERE IS A LOT GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES.OUR PHOTOGRAPHY IS BOLD & CREATIVE, AIMING TO TELL STORIES AND DOCUMENT THE REAL MOMENTS. WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHOOT A FEW FORMALS AND WE ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO THE BRIDE AND GROOM SESSIONS.

This review is massively long overdue (we got married 5/20/2022), but I absolutely have to write one. Maria and Ricky are hands down the BEST people and we could not have been luckier to have the pleasure of them capturing our wedding! They got exactly the vibes we wanted, all the shots we wanted, were so easy to communicate with, and are just the nicest and most fun people! We did our engagement shoot with them in NYC and the photos could not have been any better. We communicated the types of shots we were looking for and, since they were living there, they were able to give us the best tips for location and shots! Our wedding was better than we could have ever imagined. We got the best posed shots and the absolute best candid shots. We barely even realized the were photographing/taking video of us during the reception which we loved, but we also just loved their presence. They were so much fun and added to the party, they were dancing while shooting and made everyone so happy and comfortable. Our guests still talk about them and how awesome they are! Our video is breathtaking, we are taken back to the day every time we watching and it always brings us to tears. The photos are incredible; we constantly look through our photos and love displaying them in our home to look at all the time. We have since referred several people to them because we would love everyone to have the same experience we had!

I purchased my first camera at 16 and haven't stopped taking photos since. I'm an Atlanta native who moved to NY to pursue my passion, and it's been one of the most rewarding decisions I've ever made! I'm so grateful for each client, project, and person that I meet through my job.

My husband and I absolutely loved the photos that Allie did for us! She is very creative and precise with every shot that she takes. She also made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and gave us gentle guidance when we needed it. We enjoyed every moment of our wedding, and we are sooo grateful that Allie captured it as beautifully as she did!

Working with George was an absolute pleasure. My husband doesn’t love to take photos and pose for long periods of time, unlike me and yet George captured incredible photos of us with both of our requests in mind. He even helped find our location off site! There were so many great photos it was hard to pick our favorites and the turn around time receiving them was so fast. I highly recommend!

I’m guilty of romantizing my life, from my morning coffee in the kitchen to the walk to the fancy grocery store that’s out of the way. It's how I like to look at life. I take notice and enjoy the small mundane things. It's the same philosophy I apply to photography. It lets me capture and romantize all the moments that go unnoticed but worth remembering.

Awarded Best of Zola
We reached out to Yvonne for our annual couples (and doggie) photography after seeing her work on Instagram. From the beginning, she was very communicative, transparent, and easy to work with. Now, we just got our gallery back and can’t wait to share them with our friends and family! The pictures look so natural yet refined, just like the rest of her portfolio. Reach out to Yvonne today as she is clearly the best person for the job!

I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

I can't post enough praise about Gui from 98 Wedding Co, and I'm SHOCKED there's not more reviews here. We recently had our engagement shoot with him and let me tell you-- we were blown away by the photos. We were looking for an editorial style that screamed NYC, and Gui captured it perfectly. All my family and friends were amazed at the shots and could not stop raving about how well he captured us and our vision. It looks like a spread out of Vogue! My fiance and I are also pretty awkward in front of the camera, and Gui's calm and relaxed presence was a breath of fresh air. He knew all the right spots and best places to get the perfect lighting and framing, a true expert in his craft! I can't wait to see how perfectly he captures our wedding and will be sure to update this review when the photos are inevitably stunning as well. Thank you Gui!!!

It took us a really long time to find a photographer that we both agreed on. My husband studied film in school and was looking for someone who was competent (good framing, straight horizon lines, no weird focus issues, etc.) and I was looking for someone whose work was both trendy and timeless. We found both of these traits in Diana. I always feel terribly awkward in photos, but Diana made the whole process as painless as possible and managed to get beautiful photos of the two of us that we will cherish forever. Diana thinks quickly on her feet and I've followed her social media for over a year at this point. All of her shoots feel very personal to the couple - it really feels that every couple gets a new creative eye. We had a slight delay to our ceremony, so Diana took advantage of the time and completed all of our portraits so that immediately after the ceremony we were able to enjoy cocktail hour with our friends & family. We selected a package with a second photographer after our initial consultation with Diana because specific photos we wanted required it, and the additional photographer she provided was excellent! I was also quite impressed with how quickly we received a sneak peek of our wedding photos and the full set of photos arrived shortly after. I have had friends that waited several months to receive their photos, but we had ours back within a few weeks! If you are looking for an assertive, quick-thinking photographer who will keep you calm on your wedding day and also ensure that you receive the shot list of your dreams, look no further. Diana is the best!

One look at pictures of some of the weddings Chaz has shot and I knew I wanted him as our wedding photographer. He is incredibly talented but I don't need to tell you that, it is obvious the second you look at his work. The venue we were married in is very dark and romantic, but difficult to photograph and Chaz did a beautiful job with every single photo indoors, as well as the ones outside in the blazing sun. Chaz is simply awesome to be around, he has such a chill friendly vibe he seamlessly blended in with our families and wedding parties. Chaz gave the direction needed to capture all the staged photos we asked for, but we never felt like Chaz was "in our faces" like at many weddings I've been in when photographers are literally screaming directions at you. The most meaningful of all was the candid moment photos. Some of the moments I didn't even realize were happening as a "moment" while they were happening- but Chaz literally got all of these too. It was really special to look back at the day of and see these moments captured forever. Chaz made an effort to get to know us before the wedding, and helped us as a couple get out of our comfort zone and capture amazing shots of us without making it feel awkward. Chaz is amazing, we cannot recommend him enough.. your wedding will be in good hands if you hire Chaz and you will LOVE your photos!!

I've been in love with the art of photography for as long as I can remember, and I'm truly blessed to be able to pursue my passion every day. Growing up all over the world (Sweden, India, and Denmark to name a few!), my love of photography grew from my desire to capture the places and people I wanted to remember the most. What I love most is the incredible honor of being part of your special day and capturing the deep emotions behind the photograph.

Nithya is a wonderful photographer- very easy to work with and flexible. We just received our pictures and they’re exactly what I asked for! Nithya was such a calming presence during our wedding and extremely professional and helpful. We’re both people who are a bit camera shy which probably made Nithya’s job so much harder - and yet - she made every effort to make us comfortable.

Hi! My name is Herti. I’m originally from Albania where I first started doing photography and then moved to NY, that was about 5 years ago. It’s an incredible feeling being the one person your couple trusts with capturing moments of their life. That’s why I put a lot of thought in every wedding I shoot. I sit down with the couple before the wedding, talk to them and get to know them. So when the day of the wedding comes they know they have nothing to worry about regarding photography. I’m a strong believer on telling a story through photography and give everyone who looks at your pictures a glimpse of your love.

Amazing and chill Herti was so accommodating and ready to help us with anything. And OMG the photos were simply amazing!

I am so excited that you're considering me for your wedding! I freaking love everything about weddings, and I'm so stoked to be a wedding photographer. I know you have tons of options, but I think if you go with me, you're going to be super happy!

Evelyn did our engagement and wedding photos; we couldn't be happier with her work! She was prompt and communicative throughout the booking, asking important questions and being flexible with our plans and needs throughout the whole process. The platform to coordinate payment and view photos were so easy to use. When taking photos, Evelyn brought a sense of calm and fun that made it easy to be comfortable and guided. Neither of us had been photographed before, so we were nervous about posing or interacting with the camera. Evelyn was perfect in giving instruction, offering ideas about poses, and letting us say yes or no if it wasn't our style. She put us at ease while she chatted with us about her and asked questions about our life relationship - it's so easy to bond with her about living in New York City and loving our dogs! Most importantly, she captured the candid moments and closeups of the little details of our day and kept snapping shots that were a true reflection of the spirit of our relationship. When we received our photos, we were blown away at how EVERY photo in our gallery was one that we would print right away! Even our formal photos with family included some candids that made us laugh and smile! She took so many pictures and you can tell she put so much thought into choosing and editing photos to tell the story of our wedding day. Everyone at our wedding said she was polite, kind, and a welcome presence at our intimate ceremony. We could not agree more and would wholeheartedly recommend EHR Photography to anyone who wants a true professional and artist. Thank you Evelyn!!!

Throughout the years I've photographed every type of wedding you can think of and have been so lucky to call a lot of my clients friends now. If you're into it, I'm a true Enneagram 2 & a Pisces - what a combo right? To sum it up, I'm emotional, I'm intuitive, I'm an empath, and I'm a dreamer. These traits are what represent/help my business - I'm able to work and connect with almost anyone (even those tough MIL's love me!). My main priority is to make sure my clients have fun!

At heart, I am a TOTAL design nerd, funny meme enthusiast, Type-A organizer and homemaker. My photo career started as a photojournalist working with the New York Times, Newsweek and Glamour magazine. I have photographed in over 50 countries and I once photographed Lin-Manuel Miranda before he was mega-famous. We hung out for the day and he freestyle rapped for me. He is rad.

Stylish Hip Weddings did a fantastic job on our wedding photography! Jonica photographed our wedding and took so many beautiful shots that we'll cherish forever. We debated whether to splurge on photography and are so glad we did because the photos are amazing! It's priceless to have our special day captured so beautifully. Jonica went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and get to know us before the wedding. She traveled up to Westchester from Brooklyn to see our wedding venue and meet for a meal/wine so we could get to know each other. We felt from the beginning that we were in good hands, and she put us at ease the whole night. Thank you for your beautiful work, Stylish Hip Weddings!! This isn’t about me loving coffee or early morning bike rides along the water, but it’s about capturing your special day and making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve always said that life is too short to not have it documented. It’s this philosophy that has propelled me into the world of photography. I am a fellow New Yorker who loves preserving timeless memories through photography. My photographic style is photojournalistic in the sense that all my photos build onto the next, creating a narrative story. I am here to provide you a rich and memorable experience, one that you cannot get anywhere else in the world.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jaymo of PhotoDH on multiple occasions. As a a peer and fellow wedding vendor, I've watched him and the PhotoDH team deliver an experience that truly delivers beyond any client expectations. Refined, intentional and detail-oriented are three adjectives that I would use to define the work that they do. He has been so kind to share galleries of past clients that we've shared. As a florist, photographs of details in the wedding are so integral in defining the over all creative direction, vision and distinctive story a client tells. He captures them all in multiple light settings, multiple angles and perspectives. After viewing his galleries, I realized nothing is overlooked which truly characterizes how much effort he and his team give to a clients wedding day. I cannot full heartedly recommend him enough.

Hi, my name is Jenica! I'm a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. Equipped with a BFA degree in photography and documentary production, a few cameras, and an old station wagon, I drove cross country from Utah to New York City in 2010. I went back to school for my MFA in photography at Hartford Art School and graduated in 2020.

My husband and I often say that booking Jenica was the best decision we made for our wedding. She did our engagement photos, photography for our small Covid church wedding, and both photo and video for our delayed large wedding celebration. Each time we received work from her, I thought she couldn’t possibly top herself—but she always did!! Our photos from each event are somehow curated, bespoke, perfect, and bright—while also looking real and representative of us. I was so worried to have wedding photos that looked cheesy or that didn’t feel like me, like so many of my friends had. But somehow Jenica managed to capture the essence of our relationship and personalities to a tee, while also making it look like journalistic art! I am in love with all my photos and always will be; I know they will continue to look classic for years to come. Not to mention—Jenica and any team she brings along are always a delight to work with. When we parted ways after our third time working together, I truly felt we had built a friendship. She was a comforting presence to me on every big stressful day she photographed—I felt I could look to her for leveling and support. Through many adjusted timelines and events, she was always flexible and kind in a sea of pandemic wedding planning chaos. I could not recommend Jenica more highly to anyone who is considering—I continue to recommend her to all my friends and hope to continue to work with her for years to come!

"In an era where visuals saturate every aspect of our lives, from the screens in our palms to the cameras at our doorsteps, we stands as a beacon of artistic integrity and emotional depth. We don't just capture images; we delve into the heart of raw emotions and the fleeting magic of moments. Our work is about seizing stories as they unfold, capturing the unspoken tales that dance in the eyes of lovers and echo in the laughter of families.

Nik, Dona, and Dave were a pleasure to work with. We love their photo journalism approach because it allows you to be fully present with your guests. The team captured our engagement and wedding perfectly. They took two awkward love birds and turned us into models with natural but moody and romantic poses. They were the icing that topped off our perfect day. Dona, Nik and Dave felt like part of the family, and they truly understood our vision. They were patient and so pleasant to work with. You will not regret booking the Morina team, the are PHENOMENAL.

We are Sarah (Lockhart) + Tim (Ryon) A husband and wife run company specializing in wedding and lifestyle photography since 2011. We met at a photo production studio in 2008, moved in together less than 6 months later (much to our parents chagrin- sorry, guys!) and never, ever looked back. Sarah is our lead photographer, and Tim runs the crucial behind-the-scenes work that ensures everyone has the seamless experience our clients have come to know and love over the years! We firmly believe love is love, Black Lives Matter, climate change is real, and it’s totally acceptable to hug someone upon meeting them.

When looking for a photographer for my wedding i knew i wanted someone who captures the sweet unnoticed moments and the feeling of pure love through the day. Sara was just that. My husband and i couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our day. Sara’s work is not only incredible but her presence on our wedding day was something we needed. She was funny outgoing professional and most of all such a light to work with. My husband isn’t to comfortable posing and around cameras but she coached him through all the poses and made us belly laugh the whole day. Sara thank you again for making all of our photo dreams come true. I would chose your and your team over and over again. Love always, the savages ️

I believe in celebrating the moments you feel the most like yourself. While photographing, I encourage affection through playfulness and positivity. I embrace fully who you are, and nurture the ways you authentically love each other. My photographs are a combination of editorial portraiture and candid photojournalism – I'll direct when needed and I promise to always offer my thoughts or suggestions when necessary – you're the ones that bring the fire. I will always make sure that it feels like YOU.

Dacia was so easy to communicate with and left no stone unturned when it came to asking questions about what we want our wedding photos to look like. Her associate photographer Melissa and Melissa’s second shooter Nicole were so awesome and professional and made photos a breeze, we were even ahead of schedule! They were timely, friendly and professional. Would absolutely recommend Eager Hearts Photography, I can’t wait to see my photos!

Heya! Glad to see you here! I’m a former cubicle worker, who left everything behind to follow my heart. I always did what was expected of me, but it never felt quite right until I decided to take the leap to being a wedding and family photographer. Once I took that leap the universe lined up and made magic happen. I’ve always had a deep sense of nostalgia and wanting to hold on to moments, and photography has been the means for me to do that for myself, and now for YOU!

We found Jonica when searching Brooklyn photographers and we were instantly drawn to her documentary style wedding photos. She was easy to get in touch with and we had a number of calls to prep for the big day. Jonica was super creative and enthusiastic, able to get variety of shots and it never felt hectic or stressful. We couldn't be happier with our full wedding album. We didn't end up using a videographer but when we clicked through our wedding album, it was like we are watching a movie telling the story of our wedding day. We would 100% recommend Jonica and look forward to the next event to book her again.
