Windy Knoll is our family ranch. When my husband and I got engaged, we wanted nothing more than to get married at Windy Knoll. Rather than rent a tent for the occasion, my mom decided to build a wedding venue! The wood beams that make up the bones of the Wedding Barn were originally erected in the 1840s in Maryland. The original barn was the site of several battles during the Civil War, partially burned down, and rebuilt in the 1860s. A company called Heritage Restorations disassembled the beams and transported them all the way to Round Top, where they were reassembled and turned into the Wedding Barn.

Located next to the Golf Shop, the Bar & Grill offers a casual setting to kick back with your favorite beverage after playing & relive the day’s round. There is something for everyone at the Hidden Falls Restaurant, complete with great food and a full bar, a jukebox with classic tunes, and a shuffleboard table that you will not want to leave. I was so very blessed to grow up on our family farm, with a dad who loves to build things and who wanted to make all my Pinterest dreams come true. So as wedding planning began, construction started going up, and PLOT TWIST, the groom and I broke up…..that’s when our family realized God had much bigger plans for the barn. So with a little more time to dream, and much more time for construction, Lone Oak Barn was born. My mom left her teaching job behind, and I joined a few years later, neither of us knowing the community we would gain. Every couple, every family, every vendor, non-profit, and company we’ve hosted has become part of the Lone Oak Family. Our hope is that you’ll come on in, stay awhile, and most importantly, come back and see us.
