Bluebeard
Named for the book by Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut, Bluebeard opened in 2012 and became a James Beard Award semi-finalist for Best New Restaurant in America in its first year. It was the site of one of our first dates!
Milktooth
Named as one of 207 best places to eat in the WORLD by Conde Nast traveler in 2016. You never knew food could be this good. Seriously.
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
THE WORLD'S LARGEST CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. If you are gonna have some kiddos with you, this will blow their minds.
NCAA Hall of Champions
Sports fan? This should probably be on your bucket list.
Canal Walk
A stunning walk along some of Indy's downtown. Runs along the Eiteljorg History museum, the Indiana Historical society, the Indiana State Museum, the NCAA Hall of Champions and ends next door to the Indianapolis Zoo. Will give you some of the most beautiful views of the city.
Massachusetts Avenue
One street filled with adorable and quirky shops, restaurants, bars...I've lived two blocks from here for years now and it's been so nice to be close to so much.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Indy 500. If you are a fan of racing, this is Mecca. Or at least something like that. I've run the Indy Mini Marathon two years in a row now and have had the pleasure of kissing those bricks after starting the race with a high five from Tony Dungy. But for non-race (cars and marathons alike) days, there's a racing museum next door as well.
Metazoa Brewing Company
A dog friendly bar!!!!! Great brews PLUS I have it on good authority that there is Bunny Yoga on September 5th at 9:45 AM.
Indianapolis City Market Catacombs
Guided tour of the Catacombs shows you a Roman-looking expanse of brick arches beneath the outdoor Whistler Plaza of City Market
Newfields
If you're craving a quiet stroll through some stunning gardens, this is the place to be. Newfields is the name of the grounds of the Indianapolis Art Museum which you should also visit!
Indianapolis Zoo
Michael and I loved the multiple times we have gone with my nephew here. Honestly hard to tell who had more fun....
Fountain Square
Many dates were had here. Bars, shops, restaurants, kinda like Mass Ave with a pinch of quirk. Highly recommend the barcade Tappers.
Tappers Arcade Bar
Ms. Pacman, Mortal Kombat, Simpson's, Super Mario, pinball...I'm not even grazing the surface of the number of games. I LOVE THIS BAR. Plus the options on tap are usually pretty decent.
Hotel Tango Distillery
One of our favorite distilleries. If you're looking for acute and inexpensive AirBNB, they have a lil place above their actual distillery next door.
St. Joseph Brewery
Brewery in a church. Great food and their new patio area is perfect for hanging out.
Eagle Creek Park
This is the largest park in Indianapolis, and one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. Great for hiking and there's even a zipline and high ropes course if you're feeling adventurous.
