There are a lot of great parks, historical sites, restaurants, museums, and other activities in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. If you have the time and have never been, we highly recommend you visit! Note that Monday, October 9 is a federal holiday.

Shenandoah National Park is just 30 minutes from the venue and about 1.5 hours from Washington, DC. It offers some of the best views and hikes in Virginia and October is the best time to go!

DC is about 1.5 hours from the venue by car. There is also a train that runs between DC and Charlottesville.
