Rachel and Mike met online in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. On their first virtual date, Mike sent Rachel a photo of two wine glasses with the caption: wanted this to feel as real as possible so I poured two glasses like you're here in-person (SWOON!). After many multi-hour Zoom dates, Rachel and Mike met up in-person halfway between the Zabinski lakehouse and Philadelphia, which also happened to be where Mike grew up. Mike showed Rachel around his hometown and let's just say sparks flew. Mike spent his summer driving up to the Zabinski family lakehouse as often as he could. Rachel and Mike have great memories of sunset jetski rides, late night bonfires, dock dives, card games, and many special moments in between. In the fall back to Philly, Mike dragged Rachel camping on a 30 degree night. Needless to say, things did not go well for Rachel and Mac, but that night Mike told her he loves her for the first time. Flash forward to a Thanksgiving away from family but spent together, Christmases shared with our families, quarantining in our Rittenhouse apt for so many months - the love connection is real.
