A New Branch Blooms!

I walk into my week long summer nutrition class and see a handsome, tall, man with a man-bun. Needless to say, I was interested. So what do I do? I flirt! I try talking to him all week, I wear my cutest outfits for the whole week and what do I get? Nothin. Squat. No response. Flash forward to the fall semester and I see the aforementioned tall-man-bun-guy running (like RUNNING) to the back of the class. So I say “Always sitting in the back of the class are we?” To which he responded with the most confused, offended look I have ever seen. Challenge accepted! I made it my mission to get this guy to talk to me! I got us into a group project so I could get his SnapChat (for the grades, I swear) and then sent him pictures of Salem (my cat at the time... now our cat), in return he sent me pictures of Lucy (His parents' dog). We started messaging about movies and I told him we should go see Venom (Marvel Family here). He picked me up, I bought the tickets, he bought snacks, watched the movie, hung out in his car for three hours talking about life, he dropped me off at home and.... gave me a HUG! So now I have a true mission. Get this guy to date me. I invited him over for dinner and a movie. I made my famous Shepard’s pie and we watched Mystic Pizza (Chick Flick Central!) and this guy watched the whole movie (he thought it was a test...) as the credits start rolling he FINALLY gives me a kiss. And the rest is history! Wyatt jokes that we never took that summer class together... BECAUSE HE DOESN’T REMEMBER ME. He also didn’t know I liked him. So, we call our first two dates our denial dates. Wonder who was in denial? We wouldn’t have our Origin Story be any different, it's very us and we love us.
