Growing up, the Oregon Coast and Newport specifically was a place of rest, relaxation and peace for Lexi and her family. There's almost a spiritual feeling of rejuvenation and love along the coast. Lexi and her family only share the beach with people we think would appreciate it the same way. When Curtis was introduced to it, he realized how special it really was. We therefore invite you to our special place to help continue in the memory making through the wonders of the Oregon Coast.
RSVP by July 31st, 2025, at the absolute latest. Please retain your invitation as it will be your entry ticket to the Reception Celebration! You do not need your invitation for the Cast Off Brunch.
There are a variety of options available to you! Major rental car companies are available at the Portland Airport; and Turo is also an option. Shuttles can be organized to take you from PDX to Newport, OR. If you are wanting to carpool, let Lexi or Curtis know and we can connect you with someone flying in, or a friend or family member in the area.
Newport has all kinds of accommodations available. There will be a hotel block at the Hallmark Resort; but there are numerous hotels, bed and breakfasts, Airbnb's and VRBOs in the area. Some are corporate run, and others are local. There are also camping, and RV hook up options available in the area.
The beach is a wonderful place to wander, look for shells, and see wildlife. With that you'll want to be careful of waves and tides and remember leave certain things alone. Check out the 'Visit Responsibly' website for more information: https://visittheoregoncoast.com/stewardship/.
Generally, temperatures stay between 50 - 65 degrees, with both sun and rain possible.
Layering will be your best option, with both sun and rain possible during the month of October. Bring rain gear so you can stay dry and still explore but be prepared to take off a layer or 3 if the sun pops out and winds die down.
As it is themed, 1920's inspired attire is strongly encouraged. However, if this does not speak to you, any semi-formal attire is most welcome.
As the overall theme is 1920s for the Reception Celebration, you are strongly encouraged to attend in costume. The color palette for the room is champagne, navy blue, and copper, but you are welcome to dress in any color you choose!
There will be a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing! The event will take place at the Hallmark Resort, Sunset Gallery (located below Georgie's Beachside Grill). Since the Oregon Coast weather can be unpredictable, there will be indoor and outdoor activities, so a jacket is recommended. Some of the venue space has gravel, so stilettos may not be the best idea. All evening festivities will wrap up by 10 p.m.
We will not have a Gift Registry. Your presence is gift enough; instead, we ask that you make donations in our names to World Central Kitchen or Habitat for Humanity. These are organizations we feel strongly do a whole lot of good in the world, and we want to continue supporting them. You can copy and paste the following links into a new tab: - https://www.worldcentralkitchen.org/donate - https://secure.habitat.org/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app30022b?df_id=4973&4973.donation=form1&NONCE_TOKEN=4A2E4F9D619BDAF533520DC11E4888DB
Beach and nautical themed attire is most welcome as we will be inside. However, as the weather is unpredictable, a jacket or umbrella is recommended as well.
Since it will be a brunch for warm wishes and send offs, standard breakfast fare will be provided along with coffee, tea and other beverages.
There will be a section in the RSVP you can indicate what restriction you have; but if you are extremely concerned, feel free to reach out to Lexi or Curtis!
Children are allowed to attend! When you RSVP, you can indicate how many of you are going to be in attendance. The number of people assigned to your RSVP will be prefilled into a dropdown because of a limited venue space, so if there are questions, please let Lexi or Curtis know.
Yes! The Hallmark Resort is pet friendly. However, the venue space is not as food is served and additional charges will be applied if there are accidents.
You can reach out to Lexi at 360-910-5319 (call or text); or Curtis at 520-257-5329 (call or text). You can also email at wrightam10@gmail.com.
