Flight
Reagan National Airport (DCA) is by far the best airport to fly into if you can make it work! You can easily take the metro (yellow or blue lines) into the city. Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore (BWI) usually have the best availability of cross-country flights. Dulles is about a 40 minute uber/lyft/taxi ride away, which can run about $40-60. BWI is about 45-60 minutes away, with uber/lyft/taxis running about $50-60. If you're feeling adventurous and thrify, you can also take a free shuttle from BWI to the MARC train (Penn Line), which is about $12 per person. If you time it right, this will take about an hour.

DC has excellent public transportation and Uber/Lyft availability! If you're traveling to the district, we suggest living like a local and skipping the rental car.
