Maid of Honor
As Audrey's youngest sibling, the nine year age gap meant that Rebecca grew up with the best babysitter ever. It is amazing how age differences shrink in importance over time, and Audrey is incredibly grateful for the many conversations around family, goals, travel and Korean dramas they now have. Heads up - both Rebecca and Audrey got the "Goodwin gene" and cry all.the.time, so get ready for that during wedding weekend. Rebecca may also respond to 'Yoda' - a nickname earned as she had uncannily good dating advice for her older siblings at a young age.
Maid of Honor
Sarah and Audrey met teaching English in Nimes, France in 2011, and have maintained an incredibly close, long-distance friendship throughout the years since. Their year in France was spent picnicking in parks, exploring ancient Roman aqueducts, eating lots of fromage, browsing markets, and drinking plenty of red wine. They've visited each other in Scotland, New York City, London, Florida, and California and no visit is ever long enough. She and her incredible family have played hosts in Scotland to all of the Wood siblings over the years, and are taking a bucket list California trip to join us for our wedding.
Officiant
Officiant and bridesmaid, Liz is one of Audrey's closest and oldest friends. They met playing soccer together in high school, and stayed connected over the years through long phone conversations, hang-outs at the Wood house when Audrey went back to Chicago, hikes in Colorado, and an epic vacation to France for the Women's World Cup. When Audrey and Jeff lived in Denver for a couple months, they spent a lot of time with Liz and her husband, Stan, hiking and eating Onefold (ask Jeff!). It's an absolute privilege to have Liz marrying us!
Bridesmaid
Audrey's brother, Ben, brought Sarah into our lives and the Wood family couldn't be luckier that they met and fell in love. Audrey and Sarah share a casual obsession with British Royalty, as well as a love for dogs, Half-Baked Harvest recipes and a good workout. Sarah and Ben were also the ones to introduce Jeff and Audrey to the idea of a cocktail-style wedding reception, which is very common in South Carolina.
Bridesmaid
Valerie and Audrey met through their jobs in the travel industry, both having worked for Northstar Travel Group. Without knowing each other very well, they took a rather spontaneous trip to Iceland and realized they were perfect travel buddies. Since then, they've gone skydiving in Portugal, clay-shooting at a dude ranch in Montana, and had fun at countless work conferences and galas together. Valerie has been Audrey's best friend in LA since the very beginning, and generously gives life (and fashion) advice, is a talented writer, has impeccable taste in food & drink, and often drives impactful conversations around growth and friendship.
Bridesmaid
Asia and Audrey met while teaching English in the South of France, first connecting through the regions Facebook group after Asia asked if anyone would be interested in doing a roadtrip. Audrey was absolutely in for an adventure, and they took an epic road trip across Europe (11 countries in 10 days!) in the fall. The two immediately bonded, Asia's infectious energy and openness making it easy to connect. They've since adventured around the South of France, Costa Rica, NYC, Florida, California, Austin and more. Asia refuses to ever let Audrey leave California ;) She is also a photographer-extrodinaire, and is doing double-duty on our wedding weekend because that is just who she is as a friend.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Audrey have known each other since Steph was born. They grew up together, living only two doors away, in Evanston, Illinois. Audrey and Stephanie experienced a memorable childhood that included capture the flag with the whole neighborhood, camping out in the backyard, board games, running from house to house for snacks, hanging out in the Hemwall basement, and baking countless cookies. Stephanie is the epitome of calm, easy to talk to, loving and empathetic. Audrey and Stephanie loved playing the Game of Life while growing up, but it is even more fun to be there for each other as life continuously unfolds.
Bridesmaid
Audrey met Lauren at Denison University, as first-year students. Their friendship cemented quickly once they both joined Kappa Kappa Gamma second semester, and grew as they both navigated young adulthood in semi-rural Ohio amidst sorority events, themed parties, QDDs, and (of course) a rigorous academic environment. Audrey and Lauren spent several spring breaks together during their college years, the most special one with both sets of Audrey's grandparents in Florida. They've rung in the New Year in Paris, cruised the Caribbean, zip-lined in Costa Rica, line danced in Texas, and now dream of spending a month in France with their families one day.
