We are getting MARRIED!

Brooke introduced Dylan to Newk's and it has been a favorite of ours since! Then we got icecream--which is now part of our night time ritual :)

At the Showboat Drive-In Movie Theatre

Our teachers were starting to catch on to our feelings and kept asking if we were a couple. So we had "the talk" in Dylan's truck while he dropped me off from our date at Bahama Bucks.

We went "long distance" for the next four years while we were in college! First with Brooke at Texas A&M University in College Station, and then in 2021 she went for her Masters at Tarleton State University in Fort Worth. Conveniently, both universities were only an hour and a half away from Waco- which did not hinder Brooke's biweekly visits to Baylor!

After a challenging academic year dealing with adult things (plus covid) and almost SIX years of loving one another, Dylan plans a date back to our "roots" at the Showboat Drive-In Movie Theatre. Reminiscing on the memories we have shared over the years, Dylan pours wine and sets up blankets in the back of his truck. I am distracted looking for old photos of us when Dylan pulls out a BEAUTIFUL ring and asks me to marry him! One of his favorite moments was asking if I liked it and through my tears I shouted, "I don't know! I can't see it!"

Brooke's last 6 months of her program allowed for a clinical rotation in Houston. With Dylan starting his job at Patterson-UTI, this was the perfect opportunity to move in together as an ENGAGED COUPLE!
