Danny and Alissa’s story began more than a decade ago, long before either of them imagined what their future would hold. They first met as teenagers at a summer camp at the University of Miami — two kids who had no idea that a simple introduction would one day become the foundation of forever. What started as an easy, natural friendship slowly grew into something deeper, and by 2015, they officially began dating, stepping into a chapter neither of them could have predicted. They continued building their relationship through their years in “The Swamp” at the University of Florida, navigating college life, new experiences, and the transition into adulthood side by side. After graduating in 2019, life led them to different cities, and long distance became their new normal. Yet through every move, every reunion, and every moment spent waiting for the next visit, their love remained steady and strong. In March 2024, after years of growing together through both closeness and distance, Danny got down on one knee in front of the fountain at The Biltmore Hotel and asked Alissa to spend forever with him. It was a moment filled with joy, gratitude, and the unmistakable sense that God had been quietly preparing this chapter all along — a beautiful reminder that His timing is always perfect. Through the highs, the challenges, and the quiet everyday moments, Danny and Alissa have built a relationship grounded in patience, trust, and a love that continues to choose itself. And through everything, Jesus has been their foundation — guiding them, strengthening them, and shaping their story with grace and purpose. Now reunited in North Carolina as Alissa continues her journey at Duke Medical School, they are finally building the life they always dreamed of. As they prepare for their wedding day, they are overjoyed to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have supported, encouraged, and loved them along the way.
