In November 2016, during the era of online dating and selfies, we matched on Tinder. We soon added each other on Snapchat. And had one video call prior to our first date. On Saturday, December 3, we had our first date. We met in the Mission for lunch at (then) San Pancho for tacos. Cris ordered too much food and had to finish the leftovers (a preface to our future together). We went across the street to Delirium bar and played a few games of pool. Rachelle won so Cris had to buy her ice cream at CREAM. We continued to chat and took a stroll around Dolores Park. The date ended before sunset. But we continued to text each other. Please see our engagement photos in the Photo tab where we recreated our first date With some liquid courage, on December 18, Cris asked Rachelle to be his girlfriend. Soon after, Cris left for a trip to Nicaragua with his mom. We video chatted everyday until he returned. He came back with a gift and we took our first photo together Over the years we have grown more and more in love, creating memories each day. We have travelled, ate different cuisines, attended concerts, gone through job changes, and made a home. We are excited to continue to make these memories together forever <3
