Believe it or not, Victoria and Slade met through their love of Crescent High School Wrestling in 2014. Shortly after meeting, Slade very quickly started playing tricks on Victoria... like throwing her shoes on the high beams in the wrestling room so that she couldnt leave and had to stay for the rest of practice. Victoria learned very quickly that a “Victoria Sandwhich” at the end of practice was not one of her favorite things. Regardless of the gross smells and sweaty hugs, a beautiful friendship started. After spending time over the summer Slade admitted he had feelings for Victoria, but they both agreed to stay friends considering Slade was leaving for Ketucky to go to college. Each holiday and summer break the next three years they would make sure to work the tables together at wrestling matches or get together to hang out with friends. Summer of 2019 Victoria and Slade competed in a singing competition and seeing each other every week for the competition quickly turned into dinner through the week, weekend boat rides, and a summer that neither of them would ever forget. They eventually had two days left together before Slade went to finish his senior year in Kentucky, so Slade planned a special day to take her to the lake. The lake day consisted of two trucks and a boat breaking, but Slade got the girl. Covid-19 may have ruined a lot of things, but it finally brought this couple together in March when he got sent home from school. Slade worked extremely hard and planned a “girls day” for Victoria and her Maid of Honor, Ashlyn. Little did Victoria know, Slade came from no where and asked for her hand in marriage. Fireworks went off (literally- thanks Uncle Billy lol) and once Victoria stopped the ugly cry she realized that all of her closest friends and most family were there cheering them both on. After seven years of friendship and waiting, our perfect day is finally here. No longer two, but one flesh. Here is to our forever with one another!
