Both the wedding and reception will be held in the Post Oak Rooms at the Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
We will have to confirm this, but it's our understanding that VALET PARKING IS FREE FOR GUESTS ATTENDING WEDDING EVENTS. Simply drive up to the casino entrance, speak to a valet attendant, and leave your keys with them. Valet information is available on the Golden Nugget Lake Charles website. Additionally, the Golden Nugget has both parking lots and a garage available for guests.
The wedding will begin at 2 PM on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. Guests are advised to arrive at least 20-30 minutes early in order to locate the Post Oak room and get settled.
Methodist wedding ceremonies and vow exchange run about twenty minutes long. Immediately following our exchange of "I Do" is the reception, where food and drinks will be served.
Our pastor, John Robert Black, will be officiating our nuptials.
While we have a wedding photographer booked for our big day, we encourage our guests to make their own memories! However, we ask that you please turn off all camera flash during the ceremony and vows. Additionally, please remember to silence your cellphones and smart watches. The less distractions, the better!
Yes, alcohol is available at our reception through the bar for purchase. We advise guests wanting alcoholic beverages to head down to the casino floor. Show your ID to the bouncers, enter the casino, flag down a server, and order FREE DRINKS! (We chose the Golden Nugget for a reason. Remember to tip your servers!)
Of course! We chose the Golden Nugget with our guests in mind. While weddings are the celebration of two people in love committing to one another for life, they also have the potential to be mind-numbingly boring for guests. You get it: we're in L-U-V, and this entire event is about us. You are the Jan Brady of our lives, and we, for one day, are the Marcias. The Golden Nugget casino, pool, grills, bars, restaurants, candy shoppes, and much more, offer our beloved guests the reprieve for our nuptial narcissism (haha). Go and explore what the place has to offer; we'll be too busy thanking you all for coming to notice if you slip out.
